Too many favorites problems need advice from the Vets
Well, if you can't control your spending any other way. Take only what you want to spend that night into the club and when its gone, go home. Do not hit the ATM. Try walking into the club with say $60 knowing that's three dances and the night is over. You'll figure out fast which dancers deserve those few precious LDs.

Things you thought about saying to strippers but decided not to:
I really should have said this once when a dancer got an attitude because I didn't buy her a drink. "Because if I DO buy you a drink, you'll continue to sit here and talk to me, keeping away the dancers I actually like." I did once say to a dancer who was looking for a tip by claiming that she was working hard; "yes, but you're in the wrong line of business"

    My friends embarrassed me tonight
I don't like taking friends or acquaintances to my regular spots until I know how they behave. As you found out, they could be jerks. I've also experienced where they think you are going to entertain them with your antics. At a minimum, they expect some kind of free lesson. Takes away from the fun you were going to have. Take them to a non-regular place if you must. I've got one friend that spends the bare minimum but is a lot of fun to be around. He rarely even tips the dancers on stage. We go to clubs that don't offer LDs. I have another buddy who loves the avocation as much as me, go to all my regular places together.

How often do you tip the bathroom attendant?
chandler, I finally understand the origin of number one and number 2! Myself, I'm in agreement with harrydave, if the guy is attentive I'll tip every couple of trips. I'll even talk to the guy if its not crowded, ask who his favorite dancer is. I've gotten some great tips from a few of them that way! I will add the bathroom guy in Paper Moon Springfield was the only one that ever acted like a jerk. No tip.

    Girls that 'hunt' in pairs
My Spidey sense always goes off when I see a hunter-killer (H-K) pair roaming the floor. As much as I like girl-on-girl, when I'm paying for a dance, I want all the attention. Its worse when I'm paying double, as they always insist. Anyway, I never even consider the H-K pairs. Now, if I'm in the VIP and my buddy is in the VIP and the girls want to switch . . .

wallanon, I was not aware of the 'Phelps Fiasco' including any strippers, thanks for the reference. I looked up the stories and believe it is NOT the same dancer. Here is a link to pictures: http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/news/article299480.ece?slideshowPopup=true&articleId=299480&initialArticleId=299480&nSlide=1 My Vanity was not so well endowed (at least when I knew her) and the face is different. CTQWERTY, I absolutely agree with you on the prices at PM, and will now add Kokomo to my must visit list. I guess I felt I just had to mention PM's greatest asset! As for wallanon's top lifting, I found the girls don't mind if your hand ends up inside the top. Again, I've had sooo much more for sooo much less at other clubs.

I never got around to doing my review of Paper Moon in Springfield, but there was a dancer there that was amazing. Hear me out. I'm watching the dance of shame, i.e. the girls milling about on stage who do not get any takers for the 2 for ones and I see a tall, skinny blonde (I like blondes) with a great rack that I assume is fake. The dancer at my table tells me they are real (not a lie any dancer would ever tell). Now I'm really interested, yet still find it hard to believe. I tip her and end up finding out first hand that they are real. I had to check several times to be sure:-) Absolutely stunning and she was sweet too. Her name was Monroe 'like Marilyn' and she said she works weekdays.

    Dancer or a stripper?
BaddJack, do you also request frottage from your ecdysiasts? I have referred to a SC as a 'Frottagerie'. Main Entry: frot·tage Function: noun Etymology: French, from frotter to rub Date: 1935 1 : the technique of creating a design by rubbing (as with a pencil) over an object placed underneath the paper; also : a composition so made 2 : the act of obtaining sexual stimulation by rubbing against a person or object

Thanks for the tip on the nearby clubs, wallanon. BTW, you are my new hero, over 50 reviews this year alone! I always wear a collared shirt to clubs and never wear a hat and I don't wear jeans either (there was a thread about what to wear a couple of weeks ago). I have been told to tuck in my shirt on occasion, Thee Doll House in North Myrtle is one. I have nothing against any ethnicity in dancers, but I do have a strong preference for blondes. I will say Vanity was one fantastic Latina dancer, used to work at Showcase, rumor is she's now at Scores in Baltimore. I miss her. One last thought, if it weren't for this site, I don't think I would have found Showcase, Muchas Gracias a TUSCL!

I was going to plug the Crystal City Restaurant too, imnumnutz! I always thought the huge Tuna steak (fill in your own joke here) for 7.95 or so was a great deal. Have also had some great free BBQ buffet-style food in a Dallas club (Sugar's?).

Do you limit how much you spend on one stripper?
My MO is to bring a specific amount into the club and when its gone, I go home. Never hit the ATM machine. OK, almost never. If its a new club or I don't visit it very frequently, I will sample several dancers that catch my eye, usually one LD apiece, sometimes two if they are good. At some point I know who I want to finish the night with and there goes what's left of my cash. For my regular clubs, I will usually start with a LD or two from my fav(s), then try a few new or random dancers that catch my eye (if any) and finish with one of my Favs or ATF. If she's there, she gets the most attention. And there goes the rest of my cash. Oh, and then there is the occasional club that is so bad I leave with almost what I came in with. I call that a bad night for all concerned except my wallet.

After visiting the Paper Moon in Richmond, VA , and being far too familiar with VA SC regulations; I wasn't expecting much when I stumbled across the Springfield Paper Moon. Let me say I was Shocked, Shocked to find I could get a LD with 2 way contact (albeit with the dancer wearing far too much clothes). Then I was Shocked, Shocked to find out what the LD costs, $60 or $30 if you hold out for the two for ones they run regularly. (See CTQWERTY's review for an excellent summary.) On the other hand, there isn't a LD to be had within an hour's drive of the place (to my knowledge anyway, PLEASE PM me if you know better), so I would think in this case demand exceeds supply. I was looking forward to the second club opening, but not very optimistic it would go through. Oh well, I will have to continue to choose between the long drive to Showcase Theater or even Baltimore and the short hop to the Paper Moon. steve229, I'll join you and arbeeguy on the picket line. One last observation on the PM, posts here and the PM website say they strictly enforce the dress code, yet you can't find it on the website. I didn't even get an answer from the doorman on what the code was other than they wanted to make it even stricter. And the bathroom attendant is the unfriendliest ever.

    Female "O'dior"
To add to lopaw and chandler's observations, sometimes the quality of the club is directly related to the hygiene of the dancers. The lower end clubs can have some nasty smelling meth addicts who are the high end dancers. Having an odor at an upscale club, where the other dancers smell good will negatively impact a dancers income. I've also seen a dancer pick up BO from a customer. One memorable dancer in Dallas had just finished with a guy who clearly hadn't bathed in a while. I could not tolerate the smell, as much as I liked the dancer.

    Discussing TUSCL with strippers
I have a similar approach to 59, when asked how I found the place I answer 'the internet'. Funny how many girls are surprised by that. A few did know about TUSCL, and all have asked me to give them a good review. I always tell them I'm sure they will be great. Never had any negative reactions. This thread made me think of another question I've had. Why don't more TUSCLers give the dancers names in reviews? I understand if the girl has broken a few rules, but most of the time its normal stuff. The 'I don't want to get her in trouble' idea is flawed. I'm certain every other dancer and management knows what the girls are doing, that should be obvious from the comments here and what dancers tell you about other dancers. Even the waitresses will know which dancers do what, if you ask. Anyway, I always appreciate reviews that help me figure out who the rip-offs or psycho chicks are and which ones are talented LDers before I go to a new club. Saves me a lot of money and time.

Approaching a dancer when she is sitting at another table
harrydave, I would add e) she's just stupid. Amazing that dancers who are in the club presumably to make money will sit on their buts with a non-paying customer for hours and not even think to scan the room. If she's smart she'll at least look around to see who might be interested, I'll give her a smile if she makes eye contact and that usually draws the smarter ones in. Otherwise, the suggestion from Player11 to ask the waitress is excellent. If I know the dancer's name, I'll ask if she's here (OK, I can play dumb too). I'll usually ask the waitress which dancers are best when I go to a new club (and tip them for the advice), so if the one I am interested in was on the waitress' list, I'll ask about her again. Either way a good waitress will point you out to the dancer. Again, make eye contact and smile. One last thing, the smarter dancers are all aware of who the paying customers are, so a warm up LD or two will usually get you more attention. Short story, I was in Silver and Gold in Roanoke and tipped and asked a dancer on stage for a dance when she was off stage. She said of course. I watched her sit at the bar for two hours reading a book (I did enjoy other dancers during that time), before she remembered my request. By then I told her no. Oh, and the book was Twilight (not even homework).

Which city has the worst stripclubs in the whole country?
I'll weigh in for what its worth. My votes go to Chicago and DC. Based on reviews here, I did not even bother to visit a SC on my trip to Chicago last year, and that is unusual (Thanks TUSCLers). I am local to DC and go to Baltimore or Showcase in MD, for local entertainment, and more recently Paper Moon in Springfield Virginia. I give honorable mention to Albany (worst SC I've ever been in) and Hunstville (second worst). As for Orlando, I drove to Tampa Bay to visit Mons Venus, again based on reviews here. One last thought, its been a while since I've been to Los Angeles, but never had a good time there either.

    What do you drink (non-alcoholic)?
I plan ahead. I bring an airline bottle (OK, maybe more than one) of bourbon, order a ginger ale, mix the two when no one is looking (or in the John) and I'm good to go.

    Extra milage in DC
I'm local to the area and don't even bother with the DC clubs anymore. I love Showcase Theater in Beltsville, MD. Check out the reviews, I'm sure you'll find a few of mine. Also, visited Paper Moon in Springfield and found it a good time too. Two way contact allowed, but they keep their outfits on. I haven't done a review yet, but Monroe must be seen to be believed! She said she only works weekdays. Jenelle and Tatum were sweet too. Avoid Paige, she's the psycho chick referred to in reviews. As others have said, Baltimore is worth the trip if you can make the trip. I prefer Players Club, I think I did a review there too.

Does anyone remember the Lollipop Lounge in Honolulu..??
I too fondly remember the Lollypop Lounge from the late 80s. I can still recall one of the finest sets of legs leading to a fantastic ass on a blond dancer named Mercedes. Claimed they were so good because she walked everywhere. Odd what sticks in the mind. My recollection was the table dances were cheaper than $10, perhaps more like $5? Either way, great value. I was sad to find it gone last time I was in HI.

Stripper Sticks Her Finger in Her Ass. Seductive? Yes, No, Maybe . . .
Reminds me of a time I was in a SC in Hawaii, the dancer on stage stuck her finger in her ass then surprised the guy in front of her by sticking it in her mouth. Grossed me out. A few nights later, I was back and she tried the same thing with me, I was thankful I had seen it before and was ready and able to dodge her finger.
