About 10 years ago Fantasia was a destination club for me. It always had a couple of cute dancers at night and as mentioned above, FS was available at a very reasonable price. It certainly didn’t belong on a worst list at that time. Having said that, I have not been in at least 5 years mainly because of the recent bad reviews. From what I got out of recent reviews, the talent has gone way down and the FS prices have gotten much higher, a bad combination for sure. If the rating is based only on last 18 months, it is probably easy to see how Fantasia dropped into the lower ranked clubs. Hopefully at some point it will return to its former glory days. I think the ownership/management has also changed since the period when I visited m.

I didn’t care much for the 80’s Hogan era stuff, but as a kid growing up in the South in the 60’s I enjoyed the antics of Freddie Blassie, the Graham Brothers, the Von Brauners, and similar characters.

Glad to hear you are ok. Even though our taste in dancers was about as far apart as you can be, I always enjoyed your well written and detailed reviews. And your comments on other aspects of this hobby were equally helpful. Best of luck in whatever direction you go.

@Eastcoaster. Thanks for your comments and for the correction on the price of beaded booths. I knew they were $45, but must have had a senior moment when typing it. As I noted in the review, the first dancer to approach me wanted $40 for a “non beaded” booth and I think that clouded my thoughts. Like you said , and several others have stated, the beaded booths are a waste of money that could be used toward regular booths with essentially the same mileage. I guess if one is very shy, the beaded booth might offer a little anonymity, but most of the TUSCL guys I have met could care less about any other club goers watching them. If anything, I think most of the other guys would be envious of any extras you might be getting in open area.

@Lockjaw. Not sure what your definition of paragraph is, but I counted 12 of them in my review.

@Rod8432 I am sure daytime would have been fine with one of the other (thicker) dancers, just not my type. My reference to “daytime disappointment “ refers to the lack of extras with my dancer and my lack of interest in the other dancers on duty that day. I would certainly give day shift another look if I am in Jacksonville again during the day. @travelin carolina guy -I am an older white guy and have been going to stripe clubs for way too many years. I am pretty sure I can tell if there is any chance ofextras with most dancers and knew it wasn’t going to happen with this one. I would normally have stopped at one dance, but because this dancer was so hot I got three to see if they was any chance of them getting better. There was no improvement and not even a hint of otp stick shifting. From my experience I knew that nothing more was going to happen with this dancer. Believe me , if I thought there was a chance of anything more, I would have brought up the subject. I think in my case this particular dancer was so far above the other dancers (in looks) that she knew she made more that the others combined without having to do much. Win some, lose some. She did at least keep me at attention during all three dances.

Can’t think of a better way to celebrate your 80th. Sorry I missed it. Will be there for your next one. Glad everyone had fun. How was your discounted VIP?

All the fake IiD stories reminded me of my first experience buying liquor as a college freshman. I went to school in Nashville and was told this one particular liquor store owned by a “madam” type lady would sell to college students. My buddy and I were scared but decided to try it. We went into the store at a slow time and were the only ones there. We were both obviously nervous and neither of us looked of age. After much hesitation I grabbed a bottle of Jim Beam and set it on the counter hoping this would work. The lady started ringing up the purchase and said “have you boys got your ID with you?”. I nervously said “no” figuring that would prevent the purchase and we would go home unsuccessful. To our amazement she said with a straight face “that’s ok, just remember to bring it next time.” I suspect that exact same scenario had played out in that store thousands of times. Looking back, I suspect the old lady got some kind of thrill watching the underage kids squirm when she asked them for IDs.

I live in Atlanta so not likely to visit this club, but I did enjoy the well written review. Like Chili, I , too, am impressed by the use of “sepulchral “ in a strip club review.

I doubt this stripper is in the habit of giving out free lap dances. Not sure why she would expect him to provide her with his services for free. I suspect she might have been all in on the deal in the beginning and then discovered her “get out of jail free “ card. In addition to ruining his career, I suspect she will be looking for a big payday for “e sexual assault”. If the transaction had gone as the lawyer planned, I doubt it would have been the first time a client had traded sexual favors for legal services. Despite it being agains the ABA rules, I think this type of barter/exchange serves a purpose for those who might otherwise be unable to affirms legal services,

Excellent review for what should be a popular place. I have been on Tuscl for 10 years and can’t remember anyone giving the square footage of any club before. Interesting.

I like all animals (except snakes) but cats are my favorite. Dogs are more affectionate, but cats are fun to watch and require much less maintenance, I currently have one cat that I rescued from a casino parking lot about 5 years ago.

I am one of the two Shadowcat referred to and his comment is accurate. I rent props for period movies and Tyler Perry makes very few of those. I only remember renting to him one time for a movie called “Meet the Browns”. I have also done business with other productions that lease space at Tyler Perry Studios. Several years ago he bought the old army base , “Ft. McPherson” in Atlanta and turned it into a film making complex. Can’t recall the title but about 20 years ago the Hughes brothers made a film (crime drama, i think) and the tag line was “the only color that counts is green”. I am a conservative old white guy, but I agree with that tag line.

Centerfold Girls. They used to play it about every hour at the old Danny’s strip club in Memphis by the airport. Danny’s was one of the wildest clubs around in the 80’s. No back rooms then, but plenty of two way touching during the lapdances on the floor.

Haven’t played in years and too stiff now to attempt it. I do enjoy watching it on tv. The only major pro sport where you don’t get paid to just show up. Your paycheck is based on how well you perform that day. Wish all these overpaid football, baseball, and basketball players got compensated that way.

I live in Atlanta and grew up on Coke. When I started drinking my coffee black in college, Coke began to taste too sweet. I switched to Tab, then Diet Coke and have been a loyal Diet Coke customer. I currently drink about 5 a day which my doctor says is too many. I am addicted and probably will not change. I don’t smoke and rarely consume alcohol, so Diet Coke is my drug of choice.

I also agree that Aaron Rogers presents a clean image in public, but sounds like a spoiled jerk when not on camera. But he certainly can through an accurate long pass.

I live in Atlanta and usually visit the Jax. clubs about once a year. I also did not recognize the name. Many years ago while working in that part of Jax.., I used to drive by a tiny place called Studs Pub. Never looked appealing from outside and I never went in. As a “not so scrawny” old white guy, sounds like I made the right choice. My club if choice in Jax. is Sins, with Doll House as a back up. Hope to get back down when things settle down. By the way, you should check out Sins if you haven’t done do. It is a well run operation with a guy watching the parking lot. On the other hand, I am sure Papi will check out Pinky’s on his next stop In Jax.. Am I right, Papi?

My first lap dance was at Mons Venus in Tampa. It was the place back in the 80’s -90’s. Today it is fairly tame compared to Follies and other high mileage places. Tanga lounge in Tampa was also another good one at the time. Soon after my experience in Tampa I found myself in Memphis and I also discovered Danny’s. The dances there and at Tiffany’s we’re much better than those in Tampa. Didn’t discover Platinum Plus in Memphis until a few months before it got shut down. But it was a lot of fun during the few visits I made before it closed.

Like several others on this board, I am not a Trump fan. He IS an asshole, but has done some things I like (most notably standing up to and killing the terrorist leader). I was not planning to vote for him, but if Biden continues to stumble, I might do it. Trump’s reelection will depend on how the 20% in the middle (like me) decide to cast their vote. Most of us don’t like a lot of what he does (tariffs, demeaning a lot of people, etc) but we also don’t like the pitiful candidates the Dems. seem to wind up with. Someone like Amy K. or even Bloomberg would have been much more appealing to the independent voters who will decide this election.
