I appreciate the evilcyn approach. If a dancer starts off with the obvious mindset of anticipating ending the dance as quickly as possible, I am not interested.

shadowcat said of McCain's VP selection: "I think his choice was politically motivated." EVERY VP selection is politically motivated! This is axiomatic, and how could it be otherwise? Governor Palin seems like a common-sense person. She has her head on straight, and appears to stand up for what she believes. Good for her, and I'll be proud if she becomes the first female president in either 2012 or 2016, following the McCain administration. Mrs. Obama also seems like one who stands up for what she believes, but since she believes "America is a downright mean country" and she's never been proud of America until her husband gained political prominence, I'm not enamored of her beliefs.

    What is a lap dance?
Observation: shadowcat and parodyman-> are juvenile in their bickering. Regarding the thread question: A lap dance is different in different clubs, and for different people. In some areas, a "lap dance" involves a guy sitting on his hands as a woman teases him with a seductive dance featuring light brushes of her body against his. In other areas, it's intercourse.

A girl tells you she's thinking about becoming a dancer. What do you say?
"Why are you considering dancing? Do you expect lots of money, or do you think it will be fun? Do you have a definite timeframe in mind for how long you will dance? Well, good luck. Hope for the best, but be prepared for some unpleasant experiences with co-workers and customers."

Do you ever feel bad about rejecting a dancer?
No, I don't feel bad about rejecting a dancer, because I decline their requests for dances with respect and courtesy.

Most lap dances are a waste of money.
trilantz, I always accept "no" as an answer from a woman, whether in a club or elsewhere. No attitude from me in return. Likewise, I appreciate when dancers graciously accept a declination from me when they ask if I want a dance.

    Climactic experience
Sure, via 2 of the 3 means noted in the original post (while having dined at the Y in clubs, I've yet to bring a dancer to O via that method in a club). The most noteworthy was a "squirter." My shorts were soaked!

Most lap dances are a waste of money.
The last LD I can remember that was a waste of money was an unusual situation: I was sitting in a club alone, and two dancers approached. One said the other was new and had never danced for anyone before; would I be her first? I took the bait, and it was the worst/lamest dance ever.

Most lap dances are a waste of money.
Most LDs are not a waste of money, because I reject the "wanna dance?" fly-bys, and converse with a dancer long enough to know what to expect first. If she and I don't share the same interest in the LD, then we don't waste time/money.

    How important are reviews?
Reviews can be entertaining, and some of them can actually be informative and helpful. Discernment is required to sort the wheat from the chaff, and sometimes even a critical reader can be thrown by a bogus review, but I think most reviewers try to provide helpful info.

oh oh edwards a "baby daddy?"
First post asked if this is a bad reflection on the party. The answer is that's hardly possible. The democrats have been overtaken by such reprehensible people nothing could make them look worse than they already look. Edwards proved himself a ridiculously counterfeit individual long before this. His brand of law was a new low point in jurisprudence. This won't hurt the present democrat nominee with his main supporters. They are motivated primarily by one of two things, one of which is hatred of America. (The other of which is hardly a positive motivator; it's mere lack of thinking.)

Some more bad news if the economy doesn't improve
jablake, you'd argue the color of the sky. I'm correct about supply-side v demand-side economics, and the authoritative definition of "altruism" has exactly zero do to with it.

Some more bad news if the economy doesn't improve
jablake, it does not "depend on your definition of altruist." Words mean what they mean, and my opinion on the matter is not relevant. Here's what altruism means: "Unselfish concern for the welfare of others; selflessness." I contend that any economic model based on the idea that people will naturally tend to behave this way (consistently) must fail, for that assumption is demonstrably false. Evidence that I am correct in this contention can be found throughout history, as all socialist economies have failed or are failing.
