What used to be The Toychest now Club 228 seems to be more or a booty club now just going from their Instagram. Not sure what their sister club Truth on 8 mile has has going on but would imagine something similar

Auto show is in town and the media and politicians are out making a deal about human trafficking. Owners/management should have been really aggressive at making sure the girls are not violating too many of the dancing laws.

Detroit is still going with clubs, but its definitely not the same lots of small clubs have closed. Hell someone spent a small fortune building a Scores and it didn't even last a year. Like people mentioned you can be a hot girl and not dance now. If you build an IG premium following you can make a pretty decent living.

I found a place that listed all of the clubs from the mid 2000's Detroit lost a lot of the small hole in the wall strip clubs.

In the mid 2000's Detroit clubs kinda turned into brothels. The area struggling economically for years, and lax policing at the time in the clubs lead to extras being super available at pretty much every club. I know 2 girls that danced in the early 2000s' and then again in the mid 2000's and said the difference in strip clubs was staggering they used to make bank just doing dances by the time they came back you had to seriously hassle to make some cash unless you were willing to offer extras.

Detroit became known for extras in the 2000's because of the poor local economy, and just the fact Detroit police had bigger things to worry about. It's not the same now new leadership in the police force and government have lead to crackdowns on how open clubs can operate now. Clubs are not really allowed to have completely private dance areas in Detroit proper now.
