  It seems that folks are too quick to bash others - especially when they think they are right. When online trolls hurt someone enough that they harm themselves, the trolls don’t win, but rather everyone loses.

  It really is so out of control. If the social justice warriors can get to the porn industry then they can get to the strip club industry. You'll see. And then before you know it, a white guy who chooses to marry a white woman will be automatically branded as a racist. It was bad enough back when the conservatives wanted to tell us who we *can't* have sex with... now the lefties want to tell us who we *have to* have sex with!

  Ouch. That is sad. She did some truly great videos, always happy in them, and as others have said, she was hot. Two of the best looking breasts I've ever seen, no exceptions, always with a perfect tan.

  ^ very sad. I think some folks forget that sex performers are real people - with real feelings - and some are emotionally fragile. Something struck a nerve with her - and she ended her young life.
  
  This type of trolling needs to end. It must have been unbearable for her, and it’s sad.
  
  Sorry for my rants. I see the effects of online trolling with my kids (who are teens) and it is legitimately painful for them. It can easily get overwhelming.

  That's sad someone could be driven to suicide over social media comments if this is the case. I'd rather see someone close all their social media accounts and disappear before they take their own life. Those calling for suicide have blood on their hands in my opinion. RIP.

  I had seen her name here and there but since I hardly ever watch porn I didn't really know who she was but now that I've seen her I'd have to say that she was one of the hotter porn stars that I've seen recently. Like someone said, many of those girls are very fragile, It's a shame that she ended her life because of some bullying agenda pushing leftists.

  There are many bullies on both ends of the spectrum. It’s basically if you don’t agree with them - then you are wrong - and you must be either terminated or admit your errors. In all honesty, we should be allowed to simply see things differently, and still live together.

  I don't think it should be illegal to bully people on the internet, but we should still really hate the people who did this to this girl.
  
  The internet didn't create assholes, it just gave every asshole a semi-anonymous platform. This isn't a problem that has a quick solution, or any solution really. And obviously she must have been pretty mentally fragile to literally kill herself because of some online bullying. It's just a sad thing all around. Sad for her, her family, friends, and fans. And sad for our country where young people (left-wing people) seem to have completely given up on any notion of freedom of association and freedom of speech. Now sex workers are literally not even free to choose who can pay or be paid to have sex with them! It kinda makes the gay wedding cake debate seem like small-ball by comparison.
  
  Anyone who blames this on "conservatives" is just not paying attention. Perhaps conservatives *would* bully people on the internet if they could, because that's what people do, but conservatives tend to be older and less likely to be on the internet in the first place. Also, conservatives are more likely to have a job or a business, and therefore less free time on their hands (and more to lose). It's like the difference between the Tea Party and Occupy Wall Street a few years ago. The Tea Party was largely non-violent and cleaned up its mess after it finished protesting. The Occupy morons literally shit on police cars, raped women, obstructed traffic, and camped out for months like animals. I'm not a conservative, but at least in this regard, they behave much much better than their leftist counterparts.

  Not saying cyberbullying is acceptable, but if you are getting upset at what some troll says to you on the internet, *some* of the problem is you.
  
  To me this suicide was deeper than cyberbullying. August/Mercedes may have had a depression issue much deeper than from just being called homophobic. The homophobia accusations were just the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back.
  
  Also she put herself out there so much on Twitter. Maybe less of it would have been better. The internet has emboldened assholes to be assholes for sure, but if you don't put yourself out there, you won't be subjected to bullying from them.

  SirLDAlot - you make several good points regarding the sad events leading to this girls death.
  
  It can be a double edged sword - when a porn star tries to exploit social media as a marketing tool. It can be effective to connect with fans. But it can also turn quickly and become brutally harsh.

  I find it sad that someone can be so influenced by what happens on the internet that she gets as mind-messed as to take her own life. But I also find it a bit inexplicable. I mean, how many trolls are there here at TUSCL? But are we getting all wrapped up in who liked whom and whether or not we're good people? Yeesh. I just hit "ignore." I admit, I just don't understand the dependency-crisis-desperation mentality that can make internet-taunts into real taunts.
