  I've heard of several of these virgin "auctions". They supposedly get into the millions for the "winner" but in the end i never hear of the deal actually getting consummated and the ex-virgin paid. I think there was one that finished at 3.8 million but she "only" ended up with $250k (the required deposit) before taxes and whatever cut the auction site got.   Thinking about this several hours later, I have a couple thoughts:
  
  1) the number of people able and willing to spend that much should be small.
