I have to agree with Burlington here. Completely. Allowing the government to regulate human behavior on the grounds that failure to do so results in higher insurance premiums is a fools errand at best and dangerous precedent at worst. Drawing the line is too subject to the moral whim of the moment. I will stick with my original premise. Protect you from me. Protect me from you. Do not protect me from me. What percentage of marriages occurred between co-workers during the 70s and 80s? 50%?? 70%?? Without the internet, back then, the workplace was the most target-rich environment for meeting future significant others (or even one night stand hook-ups). Texas Bowl (Houston), Holiday Bowl (San Diego), Alamo Bowl (San Antonio) and Camping World (Orlando) would work. All pay around $6 M. All warm weather/dome locations. These are the highest paying of the second-tier non-New Years bowls. Only have to move the dates around a little. I would definitely watch a quarterfinal Alamo Bowl featuring Oklahoma vs USC with the right to play in a semi-final on the line!

Notre Dame is in the ACC for all sports except football. 5 of 12 ND football games this fall are against ACC opponents. BTW, I believe the CFP mandate is to select the 4 best teams in the nation without regard to conference affiliation. For example, if the best PAC 12 team is perceived to be worse than the 2nd best ACC or SEC team -- tough shit -- you're out. ND is in the conversation because they beat excellent Big 10 (MSU), ACC (NCST) and PAC 12 (USC) teams by considerable margins. Georgia has defeated every team they played by 14+ points (except ND, a 1-point win). IF ND beats Miami this Saturday, it is all over. They are deservedly the 2-seed. The only other solution would be a three-week tournament with 8 teams -- the Power five champs get automatic births and the committee chooses 3 at-large teams and controls the rankings 1-8. First round games would be 4 of the second-tier bowls around December 24 or so, thus eliminating 8 crappy 6-6 teams from bowl play. C'mon, does the 4th place MAC team really deserve a bowl??

Only chance Big Ten has is 13-0 WI and even then they need an upset in top 4. 2-loss MSU, OSU and PSU cancel each other out. PAC 12 is out - even 1-loss WASH below top 4 no matter what. Big 12 could sneak in with 1-loss OK or TCU, but would need help with upset in top 4.
