Anywhere there are Titties.
The fact that you are questioning your actions should simultaneously give you hope for your future and cause for concern.
To avoid slipping into a place where hobby becomes compulsion becomes addiction, one must possess a sense of self-evaluation. Bravo to you. You are examining yourself -- a good sign.
The fact that you are examining yourself, though, is an indication that, at some level, your sense that your hobby is taking control. Not good.
Others have already given great advice. If your compulsion rises to the level that it is adversely affecting other areas of your life (work, health, finances, responsibilities, relationships, etc.), probably best to cool it and check yourself. If you can take a break without freaking out, maybe you're fine. Unfortunately, in many cases, we don't recognize that the train is leaving the tracks until the train leaves the tracks.

Financial Advisors push the features and benefits of variable annuities because they pay the advisor so well. I know FAs that encouraged people to leave their 401(k) plan (within which they were earning 0.25% per year) and move the money to a variable annuity (paying the advisor 8.0%). Do the math -- that's 32 years of commission upfront and then he's gone! They'll talk about guaranteed minimum death benefits and guaranteed distributions and downside protection -- but the reality is they get paid and, over time, you do the paying. IMHO, almost never worth the cost!
(Almost) never move your money out of a corporate 401(K) Plan where the expenses are usually low, the funds enjoy professional oversight and you enjoy bankruptcy protections. As far as moving other funds into an annuity -- not a fan, either.

Back in the day, didn't callers to the Howard Stern radio show use to regularly say, "Fuck you Jackie" referring to Jackie "The Joke Man" Martling?
I'm sure I remember this happening again and again as a running gag.
Does anybody else remember this??

IMO, some of the problem is programmed trading. The VIX ticks up, programs say sell, causing the VIX to tick up further, causing more selling ... this shit happens in milliseconds. This is why increases tend to happen gradually and drops happen rapidly.
BTW, while we knew about Yellen's departure, the other new news, quite coincidentally upon her departure, was an uptick in inflation, wage increases and a drop in unemployment. In response, the media reported the immediate possibility of 4 increases, not 3, to curb expected further inflationary forces. Speculation took over and we see the result.
Love @Mark94's assessment of pundits. Can't argue with @Meat72's assessment of the shittiest of brokers. The value of solid financial advice is the steady hand when everyone else is in a panic. Truly special advisors encourage us to sell when our gains have us in a position of being over-exposed to risk (and buying when our losses have us under-exposed to risk). The broker is not to be a fortune teller -- they are to be disciplined without passion (especially when we are unable).

He entered your club and immediately joined you. You allowed your co-worker to push you off him. That is completely on you.
How is he supposed to know if you did or didn't have a signal with her to help you get away from him? Your job is to make him feel special. In slinking away meekly, you failed him in this regard. He may have accurately interpreted your weakness as indifference -- you didn't care enough about him to stand your ground. He is not your boyfriend. He owes you no loyalty to ditch the other bitch -- he is the customer. As far as I am concerned, his tipping you $20 is way, way above and beyond what is necessary.
It may sound harsh, but I would say you need to grow up and grow a pair and defend your station. It isn't catty. it isn't snarky. It is business. Same shit happens in department stores when one clerk rings up a sale cultivated by another associate. If they all receive commission, then it is called stealing.
Look, there are only bullies and victims. Which you gonna be??? If you cannot find a way to pleasantly defend your territory, you may face a lifetime of being taken advantage of. Consider this an opportunity to improve yourself and make yourself happy, first.
If I were you, I would nip that shit in the bud and let your co-worker know you won't tolerate what she did to you. What SHE did to YOU!

The "new" information is the change in leadership at the Fed and the belief that the Fed will become more hawkish under the new leadership. The result will be increases in interest rates faster and more profoundly than originally forecast. This change resulted in an unexpected spike in the VIX resulting in hedge fund sellers sprinting for the exits. Yellen did an excellent job signaling the Fed's intentions well enough in advance for the markets to absorb the news gradually, thus low VIX. The new regime may or may not follow suit.
After the markets finish shaking out the uncommitted buyers, sanity will be restored and earnings will again dictate the market direction. When 490 of the 500 stocks in the S&P 500 drop on the same day, it stands to reason that SOMEBODY'S price dropped without merit. In the short term, value oriented mutual funds should win. In the long term, stay the course and buy on the dips. Always hold back some cash for these buying opportunities.

Listen to Cashman and others:
1. Cancel credit card and have new one issued immediately.
2. Don't ever use cc or give contact info to SC ever.
3. Stop worrying about past situation. Burden of proof is completely on them. Fuck 'em.
4. Never get b/o drunk at a SC. If you can't control yourself, consider AA -- you have issues.

Addiction rarely exists in isolation. There is typically multiple levels of co-morbidity. Without years of therapy unraveling the other trauma contributing to the co-dependency, rehab will ultimately fail.
As much as I wish the best for gawker, especially with the hard road he has had to travel himself regarding his spouse, it is quite hard to imagine an outcome within which she gets and stays sober and he continues a sexual relationship with her.

Pyroxi,
I think we agree.
Step 1: Have something that is actually an upgrade. Cash, power, fame, looks, etc.
Step 2: Present that you have THAT something that she is looking for -- i.e., have game.
IMO, in real life, if we spit game that we cannot back up with reality, we might get a one-nighter, but that's it.
That's what I love about the SC life as opposed to IRL, I have cash, she wants cash -- let's make a deal.

Scott Baio vehemently denied all wrongdoing on TV this morning. He was quite believable defending himself, arguing that the public excoriation following the presumption of guilt upon mere accusation is extremely injurious to his wife and children hearing lies about their husband/father. He was quite pissed off.
Don't know who to believe, but his reaction is quite unique as compared to the many others accused recently.

There is no such thing as "game".
There is only BBD. You can either represent that you hold the promise of a Bigger Better Deal or you don't/can't.
Either you are better looking or richer or more powerful or more famous or more stable than what they have or you don't/aren't. If you are an upgrade in whatever is most vital to a woman, they fall for your "game". If you are not an upgrade, best case scenario will be friend zone.
If you have no hopes of becoming better looking, or richer, more powerful, famous or stable than a woman's current options, then you must look downstream and try again. The "game" is in figuring out what is important to a woman (wealth, power, status, security, etc.) and then deciding if you have that thing or not. If not, cut your losses and search elsewhere.
Women are the most skilled creatures at selecting a partner that hits their hot buttons. We don't pick them, they pick us.
That is what makes being a PL in the strip club world such an awesome rush. It is the one and only time/place where (most of us) get to do the choosing. Cash = game. We get to play outside our lane. Strippers have clearly signaled what they desire -- cash.

In my early 20's, even the scent of a woman or sexy GF talk would get me hard. I could imagine phone sex working for the young and uninitiated still today.
Now, I need a little more than a sexy voice saying "Fuck me Santa, Fuck me Santa, Fuck me Santa" to get me going . . . ahhhhhh youth is wasted on the young.

Oprah has more statesman-like qualities than Trump ever will, even if I disagree with virtually every position she would likely espouse. Having said that, the only way Trump gets re-elected is if the Dems run Oprah or someone of her ilk against him.
The Dems need to run a serious, sincere, experienced, career politician against Trump in 2020. Running a far-left version of Trump himself (Oprah -- TV personality, business woman, billionaire) would be a huge mistake. If Trump is not impeached or deceased by 2020, the Nation will surely have tired of the circus that is Washington DC and the pendulum will swing back the other way.

Agree with @warhawks.
My older sister earns $350k+ each year. Her husband of 30 years is college educated, not gainfully employed and has essentially been a well-read house-husband, nanny, cook and chauffeur for 25 of those years. It works for them. He pays the bills, manages the money, drives parents to doctors appointments, etc. She works and makes bank.
Also, totally agree with comments about women expecting their mates to "change" or "evolve" in their image. I was supposed to be a millionaire CEO someday. At one time, even I wanted that. When I turned out to fall short of those lofty expectations, my wife never lets me hear the end of it.
