I've never done craigslist. I've checked it out a few times. But most of the times I just assumed it wasn't what was claimed and sometimes if they did provide a picture with the ad, most were just butt ugly anyways (maybe those were the real ones).
Never did escorts either. That always seemed sketchy to me also.
Anyways, this is why I've always preferred the strip club. I got to see what the girl looked like before any VIP action. If you like it, then you can always try for the OTC action after sampling the girl's wares.
To me, clubbing is the only real way to go to know what you are getting and is the safest route, IMO.

Many phones (I know iPhones do it) allow you to block a phone number so that you do not get bothered with calls or texts from a number ever again (unless you unblock it).
As far as showing an ID, it's just part of the deal now it seems, even if you want to pay for the room in cash, most hotels still require you to have a credit card on file, so, have to show ID for that too.

I've actually never seen anything like this playing at any of the Detroit clubs.
It's usually sports or music videos on the screens. Maybe CNN or some other news station, but never a porn film.

This used to happen to me all the time. It's even worse when it's slow in the club and the shot girl or shot girl(s) sit with you pretending to be interested in you when all they want is for you to buy their tray of shots from them.
Nice guys (guppies) get taken advantage of in the club. The seasoned club girls (sharks) can smell blood a mile away...

I saw a customer once throw a drink at a dancer.
She was s little thing, but she came after him with her 6"Stilletos in her hand and would have clocked him if the bouncer hadn't grabbed her.
The sight of that big bouncer walking away with this little 100 pound girl under his arm with her kicking and screaming still brings a smile to my face when I think about it. Funny.

For a while, years ago, I was seeing one girl inside and OTC exclusively.
The other girls at the club knew it. And anytime my girl wasn't in the club, they were all over me to try and flip me to them. Girls in the club can be vicious. Don't believe the "girls stick together" bull shit. They are there for one thing and one thing only... your money.

If you have ever had a cold sore, then you have The Herpes (type 1) virus. It's very common.
Type 2 is less common. Type 2 you get in your neather regions (although type 1 down there is becoming more and more common too).
Either way, it's a lot more prevelant than most people think.

As others have said, I've never have had an issue with it in the past.
The hotel staff could care less. It's just their job and you are paying for their wages by staying at their hotel so no one really cares one way or the other if you are bringing someone to the room for sex.

I started going before my divorce. About 3 years before it.
I stopped pretty much cold turkey right after the divorce.
So that tells me... I really hated being with my wife at the time because I didn't have the desire to keep going to the clubs as much after the divorce as I thought I would.
Plus, I started settling in with a civie which has taken my mind off going to the clubs all the time now.

Daddiliac, you are not alone.
Let's just say I can relate to your story. It's still fresh enough for you as you are still going through it. It took me a good 2 to 3 years to recover in a very similar circumstance. When you fall down that rabbit hole, it can seem like you'll never get out.
All I can tell you is... it does get better. It took me a couple years, but I got through it and am back on my feet and loving life again. Fall down 7 times, get up 8. Just don't give up. It does get better. Good luck.

I've never been able to do it either, no matter how hot the girl is or how attracted I am to her, it does nothing for me unless my pants are off in VIP.
I've always needed physical "stimulation" from the girl. Not just bumping and grinding.
