I wish that Social Security was privately invested instead of being spent as part of the USA's general fund. On paper the federal government writes IOU's, but they're from the general fund back to Social Security. If that money had been invested in the private sector instead I'd be able to retire 5 years earlier than I'm going to retire because I'd have Social Security as part of my retirement income. Thieving politicians.

Is the room fee set in stone? Or is it something that you can negotiate and charge whatever you actually want to charge with the club always getting $100 for 30 minutes? That's important for you to know because it will affect how many rooms you sell.

I wouldn't run a tight ship. I'd make a visible effort to keep the club legal. ;)
The economy is poor right now. I agree, running a club is not a growth industry. But if you can run one at a profit for 5-6 years it will pick up in a few years.

I'd do something between a dive bar extras club and an upscale club too. The dive bars attract too much police attention and the upscale gentlemen's clubs are too expensive for a lot of customers. I'd have cameras in the private rooms to keep extras under control. It's impossible to keep extras from happening, but I'd make a visible attempt to keep them from happening to keep from being harassed by the cops.

This night there were 5 big spenders. Two of them were making it rain and all 5 of them were paying for the bottle service. It was ridiculous.

There are 3 others in the area and that's what I'm doing. I am going to go back in a month or so to see if that's normal though so that anyone vacationing down here knows which club fits their style.

If you get a call from them 6 hours later, you know they had a bad night at work and didn't earn enough money. If you don't get a call from them 6 hours later, they earned enough ITC to not need to earn more money that night.

@Samsung1 Mine was a gift card that couldn't be used at ATM's or for cash advances. The club that I was at does cash advances on credit cards, that's why mine didn't work.

My employer gave me one of those gift cards once and it wouldn't work at a strip club. They tried and it was rejected. It worked for gas for my car for a couple of months though.

In order to earn money stripping, you need to hustle and stay on the floor, not in the dressing room. Learn how to tell which customers are likely to spend money and which ones aren't. Don't be shy, approach men for dances. As several other people have said, strippers are self employed business owners which means they're responsible for sales and delivering a service. Learn to accept rejection and move on, it's not personal. You're going to have a lot more men tell you no than tell you yes. The clumsy, "wanna dance" approach doesn't work with a lot of customers, especially regulars who are likely to spend more money over time than customers who only go to clubs once in a while. But, you still need to sell dances. Learn when you've wasted too much time on a customer who isn't going to spend any money on you. Pick how you want to earn your money and work at a club where you'll earn money that way. Do you want to earn all of your money dancing on stage? Do you want to earn all of your money doing lap dances? Or a combination? Pick the club that suits you the best.
One last piece of advice. Since you said you don't want to do extras have a plan on how you're going to move on from stripping. Otherwise as you get older and it gets harder to earn money without doing extras you're likely to slip into doing extras. Especially if you get addicted to drugs and you can't afford to go home without earning any money that night.

@GoVikings There is prostitution in every strip club. It may be hard to find, but there are a couple of women who are doing extras either ITC or OTC at every club. And the strippers who do extras earn more than the ones who don't.
When I say I know strippers and talk with them outside of the club, I mean exactly that. I got an excited phone call from one recently who lives in a different state than I live in because she had a great night at work and earned more that one night than she'd earned in the last week. They're telling me that they're earning less and working more than they were two years ago and I know how they're living and what they're driving. They're telling me the truth. There is less money in strip clubs today than there was last year and it's been getting worse for the dancers for the last few years.

Read my review of a Lookers in Fort Myers, Florida. There was a 50/50 mix of black and white dancers and more than half of the customers were younger black men. I didn't feel comfortable there. The club itself was fine, and for customers who feel comfortable in a club where most of the customers are younger black men, it's a good club. I'm a middle aged white man and I feel more comfortable in clubs with predominantly white customers and dancers.
I'm sure that it's because of the customers that they're trying to attract. My favorite dancers wouldn't work much at Lookers though. It's all in the type of customer the club is trying to attract.
