Highlight new clubs? There have been many suggestions for improving TUSCL, but it's up to Founder to implement them. Very few changes have been made in my three years of membership. The propping of members is one. A big feature that we lost was the club discussion feature, whereby members could discuss individual clubs (such as their dancers), without it being a full review. Your suggestion of highlighting new clubs, perhaps for their first year in business, would be a good idea. But, based on past history, it's unlikely to happen.

ATF question. To me, an "all-time favorite" simply means the dancer you liked the most in your club-going career. If she's no longer dancing, she could still be known as your ATF. Any dancers that you like now, but less than your ATF would be current favorites (CF).
I have a similar situation. My ATF is still dancing, but we're in different cities, and I haven't seen her in five years. But, I still liked her better than any dancer I've known since her.

Rip-Off ClubsJack and Shadow, Thanks for the reinforcement. I just read the review again, and she doesn't say whether or not they had been drinking before or during their time there. But she is aware that alcohol can be a factor. Note her comment: "They prey on tourists, the intoxicated and the uninformed." I don't believe I have ever posted a review previously as a discussion item, but this one was certainly warranted.

Happy Vernal EquinoxI'm with Motor. The western Washington calendar doesn't really recognize spring. It's just the second half of winter.

Xposed strip club manager elected to Canoga Park Neighborhood CouncilInteresting that the club tried to stack the deck by having three of its people (owner and employees) attempt to run for the council. Thus, increasing the chances that someone related to the club would win the election.

A honest review by a dancer@ RPO: Great. Thanks! I just went back to look at her four reviews again. I'm not holding my breath for a response from her any time soon. Her first three reviews were about two months apart. But her most recent was 15 months after her previous review. She may only look at TUSCL when she wants to post a review. We'll see!

A honest review by a dancer@ RPO: It's true that newly arrived dancers on TUSCL don't usually stay around long. Most come for some initial advice on how to get a job as a stripper or which clubs to ask for work. After they get their advice, we don't hear from them again. She's different. She's only reviewed clubs so far. She hasn't asked for advice, or even participated other than her reviews. And, I like your suggestion of an "ask me anything" discussion. How about you put that in your PM to her?
@ Shadow: I've read several reviews by dancers in the past that reviewed their own clubs. Many I have been satisfied with. In her case, as I pointed out, she conveys information that both customers and dancers want to know, so I thought it was a genuine review.

A honest review by a dancerHey Ranukam ! I read that too and thought it was "post-worthy" as a discussion item. I read her other reviews as well. I like her style of writing reviews. She includes details that both customers and dancers want to know. She hasn't responded to any of the discussions. It would be nice if she was a regular contributor. It seems like she'd have some interesting comments to make. Maybe if you and I, and anyone else, would care to send her a PM, we could encourage her participation.

Putting Backpage On Front StreetWhen viewing escort websites (particularly Backpage), some conventional advice is warranted: If it sounds (or looks) too good to be true, it probably is.

Webcams in Strip ClubsI don't find web cam sites interesting, either. As several above have mentioned, I prefer the live interaction of being in a strip club. Knowing that some strip clubs offer web cams, I hadn't thought until now if or how I'd use it if it were available in a local club.
I'd use it as a scouting tool. I'd look at it occasionally to see if there were any new dancers at that club that interested me. Then I'd make the effort to go see them. Likely on another day. I probably wouldn't rush down to my favorite clubs (16-19 miles from home), to see newly discovered talent.

Stripper CardsI was an avid baseball card collector in my youth. (I still have my Topps cards from 1959-63.)
It would be fun if there were such a thing as "stripper cards." However, I doubt that very many dancers would ever consider it. Just as most dancers don't want there photos on their clubs' websites, I don't see them consenting to trading cards either. For now, we'll just have to settle for the few dancers we know that are featured on club websites and Facebook pages.

Another Waste of Government Time and MoneyLike Shadow mentioned, the article points out that there are no strip clubs presently in the unincorporated areas of San Bernardino County, CA. So WTF does the Board of Supervisors have to do there? Spend time and money on something not presently a problem.
I remember the reading about the UC Santa Barbara study that Steve229 mentioned at the time it came out. Since then, I don't ever recall reading of any elected officials pointing out that study when it comes time to object to adult businesses.
It can take a lot of money to effectively combat the common perceptions of increased crime and reduced property values. Here in Seattle, a six-foot rule was about to go into effect in 2006. The two local strip club chains, Talents West (now defunct) and Deja Vu, actually collaborated instead of competed against each other to defeat the newly enacted ordinance. After pouring a few million $ into a referendum, the ordinance was successfully defeated at the polls. It served as public notice to law enforcement to stay out of strip clubs, and concentrate police resources on important matters of public safety.

Warning lightsConversely, I heard it said once that if anyone in a strip club alerts customers or employees of about-to-arrive law enforcement, that that's considered obstruction of justice. (Don't know if that's true, it's just what I heard once.)

Mininum age 30 to get in?TT, you remember the most minute details of your travels!
Slick, I remember the same troughs! Although I was a bit older than you when Dodger Stadium opened.
Shadow, That makes a great story, but based on where you've said you've lived in your lifetime, I don't recall any being in snowy climates.

Mininum age 30 to get in?I care about the bathrooms in a strip club. After drinking even sodas for an hour, you have to "go." There's one club here in Seattle (Centerfolds), that has such an awful bathroom "situation" (one unisex bathroom for the entire club, and it's very unsanitary), that when it's time to "go," it's time for me to go.
I like the idea of an "over 30" strip club. I think the idea has some merit. (Sorry if that offends the younger crowd on TUSCL.)

Portland, OR strip club guide.I thought the reviews were useless. They're written in the style of a newspaper/magazine entertainment reporter. They concentrate on the décor and atmosphere. Very little on the dancers. Generally, they don't convey the information that true club-goers would want to know. I read four of the 38 reviews, and glanced at some others. The Spearmint Rhino review is a typical example. But, as Ranukam mentioned, if you live in Portland, maybe there is something mentioned that would attract your attention. They wouldn't get me to come down from Seattle to go to those clubs. TUSCL reviews would, however.
