I agree Club_Goer, the reviews weren't detailed at all. When I said "A must read for all the Portlanders" I hadn't read the whole thing yet. I think with this guide you can tell Portland is a weird different kind of city.
I agree with clubgoer, the article has this feel that Willamette Week made 12 begrudging hipster writers go to some local strip joints and write about the "flavor" of the clubs. The tone is that typical hipster "Im cooler because of my thick framed glasses and i know where the good home breweries are AND i am more vegan than you." Its audience and its authors are not in the strip commuity at all.

last commentNice! A must read for all the Portlanders. It just reminds me that there's a shitload of Portland clubs I haven't been to.

By the way, there's a lot of Portland area clubs they didn't put on the guide. I guess they just picked their favorite clubs.

I thought the reviews were useless. They're written in the style of a newspaper/magazine entertainment reporter. They concentrate on the décor and atmosphere. Very little on the dancers. Generally, they don't convey the information that true club-goers would want to know. I read four of the 38 reviews, and glanced at some others. The Spearmint Rhino review is a typical example. But, as Ranukam mentioned, if you live in Portland, maybe there is something mentioned that would attract your attention. They wouldn't get me to come down from Seattle to go to those clubs. TUSCL reviews would, however.
