Conservatives should follow the Constitution. The Constitution lists what the federal government should do. Anything not on that list, according to the tenth amendment, should be left to the states. That would include abortion. Any attempt by the Republicans to ban it nationally in Congress, as Lindsey Graham has advocated, is unconstitutional. The same applies for anything else that involves deciding whether something should be classified as a crime. That is a state issue that should be decided by the voters in each state. The amendment process can be used to codify that certain things, like slavery, can't be legal anywhere in the U.S.
The Founders of this country did not want an all-powerful central government because they were afraid it might lead to tyranny. They wanted some decentralization. As a last resort, people could always vote with their feet to get away from an oppressive state government.

The tall, white and extremely skinny standard comes from the world of fashion. Fashion models often look like this. The typical strip club customer is not thinking like a fashion designer who is trying to pick out the best women for showing off the clothes he designed. Some strip club customers prefer the more curvaceous type while others like the little cute type like me. Some guys like exotic ethnic types. Strip club managers should try to have some variety when it comes to the dancers in their club.

Doctors are not always the best people to go to for health advice. Some of them encourage unneeded tests or push prescription drugs because they make more money that way. Twenty-five years ago, a doctor wanted to give me a prescription for a blood pressure medication. Instead, I lost thirty pounds and started exercising regularly and got my blood pressure down to normal that way. Doctors focus on treating the symptoms of a disease rather than getting people to follow a healthy lifestyle that will prevent the disease in the first place.

Try green tea. It has less caffeine and has a substance in it called theanine which has a relaxing effect. When I drink green tea, I have a feeling of calm alertness without the jittery feeling I get when I drink coffee.

I like little skinny white girls, Hispanic girls, Asian girls and biracial girls. My all-time favorite was a dancer who looked like the character Fiona on the tv series "Burn Notice". They also need to have good personal hygiene and be friendly. I also like girls who are not overly aggressive and who don't try to pressure me into spending more money than I want to.

The Republicans did better this last election with suburbanites worried about crime and inflation and it helped them to flip House seats in places like New York. This group should be a focus for the Republicans in 2024. Many suburbanites tend to be socially moderate. They don't want abortion to be completely banned in case their teenage daughter gets pregnant by her boyfriend and they don't want strict drug laws in case their son in college gets caught with marijuana. If Republicans go too far in trying to please social conservatives, they are likely to lose these suburban voters.

Strip clubs are a good form of escape from all the problems of the world. I almost never talk politics with a dancer in the strip club. I'm just there to relax and have a good time, not get in political arguments.

I once had a stripper regular whose brother got sent to prison. She said he thought it wasn't that bad because you got "two hots and a cot". We tend to look at things from a middle-class perspective and see prison life as awful and make strenuous attempts to avoid being sent there but the type of people who actually go to prison often come from deprived backgrounds and don't see it as a big drop from their normal standard of living.

Elon is reconsidering his decision to end remote work for his employees. I approve of that. With new technology available, many people could work from home. There are ways to monitor them to see they are actually working. I've worked from home for two years and thoroughly enjoy it, especially on those cold winter days where I now no longer have to go out in the cold and drive into work.

I live in Indianapolis and have a visit to Detroit strip clubs on my list of things I want to do. I haven't seen Detroit since 1965. Thank you for the detailed information.
The part about more black dancers and more heavy dancers sounds like Indianapolis. I like the little skinny white girl types the most so this is not a good trend for me. There were more little skinny white girls in the past. I would accept little skinny black girls as a replacement except the black girls replacing the white girls seem to be disproportionately large sized. The big black girls bully and are rude to the little white girl strippers. This is from a combination of jealousy and a desire to drive away the potential competition. Many of the customers with money to spend, rather than switching over to the obese black strippers, just stop showing up and find other hobbies.

The situation we are in now is worse than the seventies. We have a 32 trillion-dollar national debt now. If we raised interest rates anywhere near to the same level Volcker did to kill off inflation, interest on that national debt would eat up a large part of the federal budget. In the seventies the Boomers were entering the work force. Now they are retiring. A CBO estimate shows the cost of Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and government worker and military pensions will equal 100% of tax receipts by 2032.
Our political leadership is worse now. Reagan supported Volcker in his fight against inflation. Powell is no Volcker and Biden is no Reagan. When raising interest rates pushes the country into a harsh recession, the Fed will be unlikely to stay the course. It will lower interest rates and inflation will resume. People say the U.S. is not some third world banana republic like Venezuela or Zimbabwe that will let inflation get out of control. The U.S. today, though, is not the U.S. of 40 years ago when we last successfully fought inflation.

Making it to 65 like she did isn't too bad. My goal was to make 65 because my father and both grandfathers didn't. A week before my 65th birthday I was hospitalized with a serious case of Covid and thought I might not make it. They released me from the hospital on my 65th birthday and I thought to myself "I made it".

The Russian speakers and the Ukrainian speakers in the Ukraine will never manage to get along with each other in the same country. The Russian speakers got a president elected but he was overthrown in a coup in 2014 with U.S. support. The eastern part of the country tried to secede, but the new Ukrainian government started bombing the Donbas. After several years of that Putin stepped in on the Russian speaking side. The best thing to do is work for a partition of the country.
Wars will never end until people start seeing others as individuals and fellow human beings, not as members of a group they hate and think of as an enemy. I'm an optimist and think someday that will happen. When it does, the human race will rapidly advance because they will be putting their time to productive uses instead of fighting with each other.

I can remember the names and appearance but only if I've done lap dances with them three or four times. I once wrote down the names of all the dancers I remember meeting and it was 26. That sounds like a lot, but I have been visiting strip clubs every week for a decade. That's over 500 visits. There are probably 200 girls I've spent time with where I don't remember their name or what they looked like. Sometimes a girl will tell me she did lap dances with me before and I don't remember it.
Sometimes a strange girl in a strip club will approach me and then, after a few seconds, I remember her. Two weeks ago a smiling girl walked up to me in a strip club and asked me if I remembered her. I looked at her a few seconds and then the name "Chloe" popped into my head. I had done lap dances with her about five times three years ago. She left and has now decided to come back. It's not usual for them to be gone that long and then come back but when they do I'm happy to see them.

Strip clubs do seem like something left over from another era when women were seen as primarily sex objects and their job was to please men. Younger men and women are no longer comfortable with that type of relationship.
Several of my local strip clubs have tried to move to being a nightclub for younger people but have had mixed results. Attractive strippers only show up when they can make money and a major source of income for them has always been middle aged men with successful careers. When the club targets younger people drink sales hold up but these girls make less money off younger guys. What I have seen is crowded clubs with increasingly unattractive strippers up on stage who are increasingly ignored by the young people using it as a nightclub. The unattractive strippers then start driving off customers because they aren't pleasant to look at and are very overly aggressive trying to sell lap dances to make money.
At some point they may just drop the strippers completely. The only problem with this is that there already are lots of bars, dance clubs and night spots for young people and converted strip clubs will have to compete with that. They won't have their own unique market niche.

To get inflation down, interest rates will need to be high enough that it will throw the country into a serious recession. There will then be massive political pressure on the Fed to pivot. Either they will pivot, and we will return to higher inflation, or the recession will worsen. The next few years will be quite bad. We just don't know which way they will be bad in.

I could see dancers coming here, not so much to promote themselves, but to get an insight into what customers want. It's a form of market research.
Of course, since this is the internet, you can never be sure that people are who they say they are. I don't know what the details are on how the owner of this website does verifications. I'm fine with the dancers being here. The more different viewpoints offered here, the more interesting it is to me. I've never put anyone on the ignore list. Since the dancers here are not thinking about winning me over so I will spend money on them, I feel like I get a more honest expression of what they actually think about things.

One time I not only had a stripper put a blanket on my lap but she also told me to hold out my hands before the lap dance so she could spray them with disinfectant.

A couple of nearby strip clubs offer free entrance to anyone with a military id. When I use mine, the door guy will often thank me for my service. I don't like that, think they are overdoing it, and wish they would stop. I think that sort of thing should be limited to guys who have actually been shot at and risked death to defend this country. That is only a small proportion of military members. For anyone not in that category, which is most people who work for the military, getting a paycheck is enough. So, I have to agree with the original poster.
When I joined the military, I took an oath to defend the Constitution against all threats both foreign and domestic. I thought that was worthwhile. In recent years I've come to question whether what I am doing really is worthwhile. Most recent U.S. wars have nothing to do with defending this country. We needed to make a military strike in Afghanistan to go after the perpetrators of 9/11 but the twenty-year occupation and attempt at nation building didn't make us safer. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. When we invaded, we were the aggressors. That invasion wasn't to defend this country and didn't make us safer. The military assistance to the Ukraine is not making us safer and, whatever you think of Putin, Russia has not attacked us.
At this point, I think the military may be doing more harm than good and, to a certain extent, is parasitic on the productive members of society. I'm very ambivalent about working for them and I'm not the only one. I've talked to a number of soldiers who told me that when they were in the Middle East the natives saw them as unwanted occupiers, not liberators. These soldiers wondered why they were there. A lot of the top military brass and upper DoD management have gone woke because they want to curry favor with the Democrats in power. They want to keep the gravy train going and keep their high incomes. I stay in the military because it is near the end of my career, and it is too late to start another one. I wouldn't go in if I were starting my career now. With our trillion-dollar yearly deficits, we can no longer afford to be policeman for the world and need to seriously reduce military spending.

I've worked for the military for forty years. I'm not an anarchist and think that the military does serve a useful function, defending the country. However, a lot of what the military does is not really related to that. Eisenhower, who knew a lot about the military, warned about the military-industrial complex back in the fifties. He kept us out of Vietnam because he was aware that a war there was not a part of the core function of the military. I've always felt a little uncomfortable with the blind worship of the military by some. You should always have a little skepticism that part of what the government may be doing is not useful, and that includes the military.

With inflation at a 7.7% annual rate and interest rates currently set by the Federal Reserve at 4%, real interest rates are still negative. That's a stimulatory monetary policy that is unlikely to bring inflation down to the 2% target rate set by the Fed. To reach that target, real interest rates need to be positive not negative. If the Fed did that, though, it would push the country into a severe recession. There would then be political pressure put on the Fed to pivot and start lowering rates.
In a similar situation Reagan resisted the pressure to fire Volcker when his interest rate hikes drove the country into a bad recession. Volcker then got inflation under control. Biden is not Reagan and Powell is not Volcker. It is likely when a recession hits the Fed will pivot and start lowering interest rates and then inflation will worsen again.

In the 2020 election half of all married Jewish males voted for Trump. A bigger problem than Jews are unmarried people, especially women. We didn't have a Red Wave just now because unmarried females voted 68% Democrat and 31% Republican. Many of them want unlimited access to abortion paid for by the government, student loan debts cancelled, affirmative action, government jobs and a cradle to grave welfare state.
