A) Start with a large fortune !
Think about it carefully, MAGA-Tards.
Lefties getting all sad that at least one platform isn't letting their bullshit go untouched while censoring the other side. Cry more.
Pretty hilarious to hear Icee, the pimping, pandering, woman-beating, woman-manipulating, lying, thieving piece of shit act like a champion of the working class for defending rich Bay Area tech bros.
Righties going suicidal because their rightie propaganda platforms like Twatter and Lying Social are going down the shitter faster than a burrito colonic.
Leftwing wesbites run by powerful Dems like Bezos and Zuckerberg are making them richer than God.
I'd rather see Twitter completely die than go back to being the place for center-left normies to cancel anyone who hurts their feelings. Hey, if AOC and Taylor Lorenz miss that, there's always Truth Social! Lulz.
Speaking of which, I guarantee you think about that platform more than any three conservatives here.
The pew political typology quiz https://www.pewresearch.org/topic/politi… says I am an establishment liberal, which sounds about right. With that credential in hand, I will say that Twitter is a cesspit, I hate it, and never use it. I thought it sounded like a very stupid idea when it came out, and thought that my dingbat friend who first told me about it was the perfect user for a service whose name started with the word "twit". Now a psychopath billionaire narcissist autism case buys it for $44B and runs it into the ground with 1980's style authoritarian management style applied to hypersensitive bitch ass bay area tech princesses ? This is a dream come true for me. Twitter's infrastructure collapsing while Elon blows his fortune would make my day!
Like the former, I'm pro-same sex marriage, pro-choice (close to the median American, no further), and pro-marijuana legalization, see several places I'd raise taxes, and never voted for Trump. I'm also not one of the "what's good for big business is good for America" types. I also don't believe (most) Democrats and liberals are evil (only misguided). But I believe in a strong national defense and American identity, and as a consequence am pretty extreme on the first amendment.
Unlike some others, Musk's fortune appears to be earned (yeah, I know there's that quote about a great crime behind every great fortune, it's opinion not fact). He's done more to "green" the world than all the DC muckety-mucks. And Twitter, while a vanity project, seems to draw the most haters because he's taken away the stick the Extremely Online left uses to bully people. I'd rather it go bankrupt than go back to its old state.
But his ambitions for the platform aren't 280 characters. Shit, if it was just money, he could have paid the penalty and backed out of the deal. That's standard M&A language. He wants to turn the current base into the "everything" app. People are declaring he's lost that game when it hasn't even started yet.
You really have to wonder if Musk is suffering the same level of paranoia and psychoses that a Trump cocksucker like Kanye is going through?
It would the same thing as Bezos buying Fox Fake News and promptly firing Lying Hannity and Fucker Carlson even though those two propagandists bring in the ad revenue. Anf then Bezos tells all the Fox viewers to vote for Mighty Joe in 2024. How do you think righties would comment on Bezos then? Would they call him a "genius" like they are calling Musk for flushing Twatter down the toilet like a burrito blowout?
Till now, Musk had a history of starting companies, not making acquisitions. His companies have a rep of making employees work lots of unpaid overtime. Looks like he tried to impose that situation on a company where people were not use to it. I can't believe it's about moderation, as founder has demonstrated an easy way to resolve that issue. Not withstanding those who would nonetheless whine about their self-inflicted "problems" due to not using the ignore button. But it did make sense for social media companies to ban Trump, since he was involved in organizing crimes (those of January 6th).
Musk better be careful about allowing all the postings from violent hate groups like Oath Keepers and Proud Boys to show up on Twatter. The Feds can easily charge him with "aiding and abetting" acts of terrorism. Ole Musky can hire all the expensive lawyers he wants but he'll be in deep shit if he sides with rightie extremist losers instead of sensible lefties that make other social media platforms a shitload of money pushing their agenda.
It sure sure looks like it sometimes. What I think is happening is he’s applying a tone that doesn’t work in the super sensitive world of Bay Area big tech 2022. Twitter employees are used to having their asses kissed while they work 38 hours a week from home and drone on about gender identity politics. He is being a hard core dick about straightening out (in his mind) a company that needs straightening out. At the end he could have a lean mean hardworking tech money making machine, or he could very easily end up with no company at all.
For my money twitter is a piece of shit and so is Elon, so I’ll be glad to watch them fail. Anyone working at twitter has the tech and professional skills to make a good living elsewhere, so it’s not like anyone is going to end up on the street from this.
Who will be the icee, sjg, and Dave Anderson of the new twitter?
If the phrase "FRMOS" appears once on Twitter, then the campus and all servers should be burned in a thermite fire.
I don’t think I would wanna be there right now, but if you’re an ambitious young guy who was never 100% on board with the woke stuff in the company, this is your chance to be a hero and get noticed by Elon.
The main risk at this point is straight up active sabotage from insiders or just running out of money.
