I think I've blown as much as $400 a couple of times. Alcohol was involved! With LD prices having jumped so much in central Ohio, its hard to want to spend more. A couple of dances fo 60-70 is pretty goddamn ridiculous! Now, if I were in a place that had 10-20 dollar dances I might spend more since the fun would seem so much cheaper.

Reviews are like assholes...everybody writes one. Or something like that. The problem is that each experience is different for each reviewer. When I'm looking at reviews, I have to look at all of them to get an idea of what the club might really be like. Think about all the variables that go into a SC experience...day, time, girls moods, number of custies, bouncers moods, managers moods, DJ's moods...Maybe a review was written about a visit where all the stars aligned and the reviewer had a great time in a shitty club or a bad time in a great club. The only things that are somewhat consistent are prices and hours of operation (but even then you'll have outliers).

Sometimes tipping well can lead to better service...but not always. I usually tip the waitresses and bartenders a buck or two per drink. I find they come back and check on me more often that way. I hate having to wait for a drink! Dancers don't usually get tipped above LD fees since they are already so high. I've never tipped a bouncer and I usually throw a single in the tip jar for the door girl. A mamasan in one club did tell me that she'd allow me to have a more private dance if I slipped her a $20 but I wasn't trying to push the boundaries at the time so I passed. As a bouncer, I was tipped once by a guy who slipped me a fiver while shaking my hand on the way in. In those times, I wouldn't have been allowed to let him get away with anything anyhow so he might have well kept it.

I say let the general public think that clubs are this tightly run...maybe that way they'll stay off our asses. Could you imagine the response if Taub had got ITC action on the show?!

They pretty much all tell me that they are in college. Usually, this blows up in their face when they tell me about their major and have absolutely no idea what that major involves. If you're going to lie to me honey, tell me about how sexy I am!

Most of the clubs I go to have booths that are semi private. You do get people walking by. When I walk by others, I might give the dancer a check to see if she's worth my time in the future. Usually, I don't see anyone else and they don't see us. Now if I've been drinking a bit, I don't care who's watching as I'm usually relaxed enough not to give a shit!

I've said it before...I'm no economist but I would think that if one club dropped its LD prices to $20 (where every other club is at $30), they would rake in the customers. Increase the volume with lower prices and you win!
