Let me preface this remark by saying that I support the right of anyone to operate a lawful business of any kind, however, I also believe that exercising a right and exercising restraint should go hand in hand. I would no more want a strip club to be built next to a convent than I would want a church to decide to locate next to an existing strip club. Nor would I want a bar to open next to a rehab center of vice-versa. I think I might not be too upset to to see an ice cream parlor open up next to a Jenny Craig, however :-)
I will say further that if the nuns want to shut the club down without going to court, they should just picket it in full habits and carry rulers instead of picket signs. I guarantee that no one who went to catholic school will go within a mile of the place!

The one club were I frequently see them they offer a clean hand towel (not a paper towel) and brush my suit jacket (if I am wearing one, which I usually am), plus offer the usual array of mints, colognes, etc. I tip a dollar and so do most of the other patrons that I see while there. As far as management goes, I've always assumed that this was done in an effort to give the club an upscale reputation.

I was surprised by a few of these numbers – especially that nearly 2/3 of respondents wanted smoke-free clubs, and for half the lack of a non-smoking are was a negative. How the times they are a changin’.
There was a strong preference for private over semi-private lap dance areas.
While most respondents preferred some type of food be served, a plurality did not need any thing to munch on (so far as food goes).
Traditional Strip Clubs beat out upscale Gentlemen’s Clubs by about 2 to 1 – not really a surprise I suppose as the $$$ go further at the latter. Probably the same reason 2-4-1’s were so popular!

Well, if Paul was running as a Libertarian, I might have less of a problem with him (as you correctly inferred, I have no use for him as a Republican). I think much of his message is valid . . . it's just being drowned by the noise of the other candidates and the media that has consistently discounted his candidacy. Not that he would get heard if he were to run on a big-L ticket, either, since he would get no coverage at all.

Quite true . . . Victorian London had some notorious fleshpots. However, let us not forget that the "Peelers" in Victorian London, the G-men of prohibition or the Master of the Revels in Elizabethan times, who enforced the morality laws . . . my concern is not the morality-legislators will be able to make others comply, but that they will punish as many as they can (indeed, it may be the desire to punish the transgressors more than to reform them that drives these sanctimonious prigs).

I've had the same experience as shadowcat . . . i.e. asked by a dancer I am with to tip or buy a dance from another performer. And Mad-Dog, I don't know about the club you were in, but I know several where if you pick any tip up off the rail after putting it down, you are out the door faster than s*** through a goose.

Several clubs in Richmond VA used to have fairly decent websites with photos, frequent updates on events and features, etc., but they've all gone to pot. Papermoon has a site for its six clubs, but it has almost zero content.

This is a very tough one for me, because I can honestly say that it varies from time to time. Generally I will nit be interested in a dancer with small tits, but if she has a pretty face and good personality, suddenly I'm fascinated by her tiny breast. A nice round ass is always a plus, and probably the first thing I notice on stage, followed by legs -- but that may be because from a seated position you have to work your way up. If the first time I see dancer is when she comes by my table, I rarely notice her booty or legs. I would add that often the first thing I notice about a dance is what she is wearing, but that's not really a physical feature. I agree with Dudeanonyumous that pretty eyes and extended eye contact are sure fire winners.
