That's a tough one.
As others have already noted, day shift guys are usually older, not into the late night party scene, and like to spend hours sitting and boring, er, I mean chatting with a favorite dancer or two.
That doesn't sound like you, so maybe rockie has the right take.
Hopefully San Jose Guy will provide an in-depth, 10,000 word explanation to clear this up.

For personal and professional reasons I have to keep my sc activities a secret from my family, friends and co-workers. So TUSCL has been the one place to compare notes and share experiences.
I was also pleasantly surprised to find a community that shared an appreciation for pop culture references to movies, tv shows, song lyrics, etc.
Well, almost everyone that is, lol
