My experiences echo many others here. Started with bikini bars in the 80s, mostly little bars next to factories that had dancers from 7am to closing to cover all three shifts. You had a tiny stage and maybe something like a table dance for under $5. I can remember partying with the regular girls in the parking lot then going back in for another beer but didn't see much action being had. Things evolved in the 90's with more skin, more dancers, and nicer clubs. My first nude "juice bar" was a dive called The Nest where things got pretty raunchy but again, there was nothing like a private or VIP, though I am sure there was much mischief going on in the dark corners. The old State Burlesque in Cleveland had nude shows--I saw Annie Sprinkle there and ended up taking polaroid for her in the lobby. Ohio was always uptight when it came to contact but it was there to be had in places as nice as Crazy Horse or Diamonds or as truck-stop friendly as Club 76. I have drifted out of it (cam girls are getting my money now) but miss the days when I knew all the regular girls, could burn one in the parking lot, then go out to breakfast with a couple a dancers at 3 AM.

I was a barstool regular at a now-defunct TK in NE Ohio and enjoyed getting to know the bartenders and a few of the girls. Never got much of the pick-up vibe but then again, I was just a colorful old coot to them. Stayed friendly with one girl who worked at another local restaurant. Used to leave the Kilt and go to the air-dance club right up the road (you Ohio guys can put this together I bet!) for boobs and beer. As lame as that was, I miss it like crazy now.

Every Tilted Kilt in NE Ohio is closed. Not sure how they screwed up such a format, but someone in management found a way. I sure will miss the one that was nearby. Many years ago a few members of my Civil War reenacting unit went to a strip club in our wool, Union, enlisted men's uniforms. Dances were had, pictures were taken (polaroid's back then) with the featured porn star and other girls, including one with a naked performer wearing the sergeant's frock coat. When said evidence fell into the wrong hands, we were admonished to avoid soiling the memory of those brave boys with our lecherous hijinks. We argued that the "old boys" would have done the same had it been available (as the plethora of bordellos and VD during the war attests). Been in the cam world for some time since Ohio became pretty much a strip club wasteland. Like SC, the type of site dictates the range of options. Some sites allow lots of explicit stuff in free chat (the extras club); others restrict what goes on (air dance clubs). Private chat serves as the VIP room where money dictates how much happens between performer and customer, including role play, fetishes, and cam-to-cam. Videos can be customized but many girls have collections they sell or give in return for tips; recordings of performances are also on the menu. Some sites control the distribution of videos, others leave it up to the performer. Its the same hustle, same rude, loud, clumsy guys, same big tippers, same social game as SC without the touch and smell. Some rooms are chattier with friendly moderators (the bouncers), regulars, and talkative girls; some are unmoderated free-for-alls filled with beggars and lurkers; others are all business all the time. Foreign girls tend to be more extreme and more willing to do anything for tips. Some are running skype shows on the side (the cam equivalent of OTC) which offer even more stuff that may be outside company rules. Some use Manyvids or Pornhub to promote themselves as porn stars; others are really the girl-next-door. Its a parallel universe to strip clubs with the notable exception that you are very unlikely to make actual physical contact with the girls and have to take care of personal pleasure on your own.

Both of my best experiences were in Ohio clubs long since closed. One was with 2 girls I never saw before or after, but we steamed up the room pretty good. I remember saying "it smells like turned-on pussy in here" when we finished. Oddly, I have had some fun 2 girl dances in mostly air dance clubs, even just at the table. It seems that the extra body allows for a bit more groping by all parties and the price is right.

Playboy and Maxim both made disastrous decisions at about the same time. Playboy abandoned nudity and Maxim lost its sense of humor. Both ended up looking like GQ, which was always unreadable and unappealing to anyone with an once of testosterone in their bodies. Print magazines might survive if their editorial boards had any brains, but given what we have seen lately, they seem pretty much doomed.

This list/theory leaves out the Populist uprising in the US that culminated in the election of 1896. Farmer in the Midwest were unhappy with taxes, tariffs, banks, and both parties and sought to create a 3rd party that would put the nationalize major industries (RRs and banks) and put the US economy on the silver standard. After winning over 1,000,000 votes in 1892, they thought they might have a chance to upset the moribund, pro-business Republicans and Democrats in 1896 with a coalition of labor unions, farmers alliances, and other disgruntled middle class workers. They failed because a 36 year old dynamo named William Jennings Bryan hijacked the silver platform and got the Democratic nomination with it. The Populists fused with the Bryan Democrats and got creamed by William McKinley and the Republicans, who tagged them as dangerously radical. What followed was the Progressive era, a much more mainstream and middle class reform movement that brought us prohibition, immigration restrictions, and women's suffrage.

Aside from some 2 girl table dances at mostly air dance clubs (which are a pretty good way to spend a 2 for1), I have had 2 really good experiences with 2 girls in a VIP. In both cases I was fingering one while the other worked on Little Elvis and the energy level was pretty high. Since the early 1980s. It was a bikini bar outside of Kent, Ohio (the bar is still there as a music club). I don't go as often now, partly due to Ohio's ghastly laws restricting what can go on, but I still venture out and post a review every now and then.

By the way I might add that just as in SCs, their are ROBs in chat rooms. I have been playing around with cam girls for a few years now and admit to spending too much time and money doing it. I think they show more in "free" chat on chaturbate than they do on Streamate, where I am a member, so you can do the kind of window shopping as a non paying, non member that JS69 reports in his OP. The appeal for me is multilayered. On one hand, I have no expectation of meeting or fucking these girls in real life. Dispensing with that hope will lessen your expectations. Perhaps you could encounter a few of the porn stars at some sort of public appearance (Daisy Destin, Renna Ryan, HotKinkyJo, Sabrina Deep, Roxy Ray, and even the hideous Amy Fisher are on Streamate) but for the most part its a long shot at best. Second, as already mentioned, their are some stunning young women on this site, While not everyone's cup of tea, the plethora of college-girl pussy is truly amazing. Third, like the SC, there is an advantage to being a regular in rooms where the models pay attention. They can see whether you have given them money and in some rooms, the conversations are actually interesting. Like a SC, being polite and spending a little money will get you a long way (and, like the SC, guys fall in love and dump their paychecks at their ATFs). A group of regulars in a "party chat" with a friendly performer can joke, tell stories, play sexy games, chase away trolls, and usually get pretty hot, inexpensive (and often porn quality) gold shows from a willing woman. The gold show (on Streamate) saves the PL from spending his paycheck at the per minute price. If you don't mind sharing (and some guys do), you can get the same type of show as a private (a couch dance in a SC) or exclusive (VIP or champagne room) for a fraction of the cost. The torture is having to sit through the sales pitch (not unlike the pitch a stripper gives for VIP) while guys drag their feet, often over a buck or two, as the performer tries to raise enough to make a goal. Finally, the sheer range of women and the degree of debauchery available is truly impressive. Whether its fetishes or just hardcore porn activities (including lesbians and couples), some of these women will do a lot for a fairly modest price. True, its not physical sex, but it is one-on-one, modestly interactive, and can be a pretty fun way to get off. Obviously the downfall is twofold: it can get expensive and it cuts into SC activities quite a bit for that reason. For the guys getting laid in SCs, this is a waste of time and resources; for the average PL looking for thrills, its just another path to explore. .

Back in the old days, conventions were a boon to the vice industry. Now social media has made running amok pretty risky. The sad thing is that the hostility towards strip clubs in particular and the adult industry in general runs deep in both parties. The evangelicals in the Republican Party says its immoral; the Democrats claim it exploits women. While there are plenty of honest perverts in the middle of both parties, they are not driving the respective policy busses.

I watched most of the parade coverage live on TV. It was quite a spectacle and Lebron's speech was entertaining, humble, and amusingly sprinkled with profanity (which will be bleeped in subsequent rebroadcasts). The people of Cleveland have been mocked for their lack of sophistication, but contrary to many outsider's expectations, the whole celebration from start to finish was generally orderly, good natured, and genuine, Yes, we have to go back to our real lives, but one cannot discount the boost in morale that comes with such an accomplishment. And the Indians are in first place . . .
