  I don't get the appeal either, but It does seem to be popular I've met a few strippers who do/did cam work as well. One I got fairly close with, I let her use my place a few times for shows.   I am not at all a cam site person but I get the appeal. You don't have to pay at all if you want. You can pretty much watch for free. Guys watch the same girl over and over and develop feelings and before you know it they are willing to start tipping a few bucks. Imagine if you're jerkin it to a camgirl and you're near orgasm, tip a few bucks to set off her vibrator doesn't seem like a bad investment. Past that I think a lot of people who go to cam sites live in areas where strip clubs are no contact, or unaware that full contact exists, or are wary of the moral issues of going to a SC.

  Been in the cam world for some time since Ohio became pretty much a strip club wasteland. Like SC, the type of site dictates the range of options. Some sites allow lots of explicit stuff in free chat (the extras club); others restrict what goes on (air dance clubs). Private chat serves as the VIP room where money dictates how much happens between performer and customer, including role play, fetishes, and cam-to-cam. Videos can be customized but many girls have collections they sell or give in return for tips; recordings of performances are also on the menu. Some sites control the distribution of videos, others leave it up to the performer. Its the same hustle, same rude, loud, clumsy guys, same big tippers, same social game as SC without the touch and smell.
