I agree with you on the Hollywood part tricks - but it is in mostly low and mid-tier production "companies." If the star has box office draw - it is all business. The investors will make sure of that. But among SOME independents (seems prevalent among those with no money backing them, the so called "I'll make you a star" crowd - watch the fuck out). There is a lot of bullshit happening. With the audience going to youtube mostly, many film students and amateurs are creating their own production companies. Groups of friends. It is pretty easy to get something together for youtube - just get subscribers (harder than it may appear) and let em put ads on there for ya. Prove yourself on youtube, TV will give ya a chance. I'm saying, Hollywood is becoming less and less important. Shit, they don't even shoot there anymore - all pre and post-production.

Good man! I have often thought people should pay their taxes monthly so they get an idea how much the government is taking. This pay the government first and give ya the rest of the check is some bullshit. Make people front money they already have to the government and they will have a better idea of what BS it is.

Well, its worth taking a shot at it. I don't think it will tag you directly if you have a corp umbrella. (Credit checks for loans, etc. ding your credit rating.) So you always want a corp behind ya so things like that won't happen to you personally. Experiments cost money or the ability to get money. A corp can be had for $300 to $500. If you are serious, get a class C corp, not LLC, etc. At least with a C corp, ya can sell stock if it takes off. Always be sure to keep 51% of the stock in your name. :) A LLC has benefits to, but all of my companies have been C corps. Be sure to find out from the SBA if a corp will play - they may be only interested in sole proprietorships, so check things out before spending the money to disqualify yourself! It might help if your corporation helps other businesses to come to fruition - in other words, don't use the corp to obtain a loan to buy a strip club, use it for a "business incubator" or the like. Nothing that will bust ya for fraud on part of the loan, but don't say ya are getting it for a strip club either. If ya can get a place big enough for the strip club and for a real estate office rental office... all the better. I don't think they will give ya money for strip club anyhow - not when they got people asking for money to start an auto glass repair shop or other franchise ownership with a proven record. So ya gotta look at it from the SBA point of view - give you money or give this guy who is buying a proven money maker franchise some money. I think ya know where the decision will go.

If dancers can use a fake name, I can use a fake name. Like a poster said above, giving your ID and fingerprints is a recipe for identity theft. Let them register with the government for dancer licenses and shit (which I don't agree with) - they are making money. But no way am I going to pay people to get ID that can be stolen by them dumping data into a cloud, the trash for dumpster divers, or the local computer fix it shop to hork. F that. I've had shitty credit in college. I have worked hard to bring my score up. No fucking way am I burning that for the bullshit I dealt with in and directly after college cuz some tweaker yanked my id.
