Fred Sanford doesn't hate white people which is why his comedy is so funny. Rather, he points out the hypocrisy that both races have with scathing irony. Dave Chappelle is the only comedian who even comes close to Foxx in doing this effectively.

This show and "All in the Family" were the best.
Norman Lear was a television juggernaut in the 70's. I think he had the top 3 rated shows at one point.

If "Hee Haw" was to play as a new show on TV these days, every Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson would be up in arms about equality demanding more blacks and Hispanics should be playing country music on TV.

Michelle Obama would make a good guest appearance on this show and hear her ranting on about oppression instead of realizing all of the accomplishments her people have made over history.
This administration has helped encourage a divisive rhetoric based on victim's mentality. I think things were progressing better in the Carter administration than now, which means Jimmy Carter is a better president than BO. That's something.
