We can do away with physical desktops any time. I build deployments in the cloud all the time. Many of my customers have their staff access virtual machines from any internet connected device from anywhere.
There are docking stations for phones that attach to a standard keyboard, mouse and monitors. Connect your phone and access a full Windows desktop hosted in the cloud. Wireless or cellular tablets are used all the time to access virtual Windows desktops. I can do my job as long as I can find an internet café with an available terminal.

a ride home and a pack of smokes. no cover charge. A mug of beer was a dollar. Gas, tolls, beer and cigarettes, figure six or seven dollars. I was seventeen. yes. Coincidentally, in Tampa as well as in Baltimore and San Fran. Until a few years ago, women traveled from as far as SF to dance at my favorite club. The money was that good. They came in for a few days once a month.

They has their liquor license renewed backnin september. If i recall correctly, old bridge put some conditions on that. My memory may be mistaken on this. They had to post some sort of bond, they have to have digital cameras monitoring the inside of the bar and the entire parking lot. They also had to pass some health code inspections.
That is the last i heard. I have no idea if they ran into other issues or just havent gotten that stuff resolved

Paying a magazine to advertise a product makes sense but paying a person with a devoted following to do the same is stupid? I know several women that do this and I am sure you do to. Typically these people, not all are women, have large following of a specific demographic. The followers have to be engaged. That is they need to be likely to look at the post while it is fresh, like it, comment and forward it and most importantly, act of it by buying the product.
one lady has a following for her makeup. She gets brand name makeup and she does tutorials on how to apply it. Which colors and techniques to use for whatever reasons. Another woman wears clothing out and about. Her IG posts generate sales.
I did not understand it at first but this form of advertising is superior in many ways to classic advertising. You know it was seen. You know it reached your target audience. You know it generated sales. It is much cheaper. A business would be crazy to not use it if it fits for their product. Cheaper and more effective. people with a devoted following would be crazy to not consider it. Get free product and get paid for wearing what you would have any way.

If as you say she misses being a star, you my friend are not doing your job.
she is an adult. She will do it or not regardless of what you say. Tell her how you feel then support her decision. If she does it and she fails, it will be your fault for not supporting her. If she succeeds you will still be an asshole for not supporter her. If she doesn't do it because you insisted she not, you will be an asshole for standing in her way.
