Dave Chappelle visits strip clubs alone
I'll be honest about it, and if I had my druthers I'd club with at least a wingman most of the time. Or be the wingman. I get bored and tired of turning girls away. But it needs to be a guy who's got his club shit together, especially at a road club. Depending on how many days I have in town my approach to clubbing can vary and it helps if the other dudes around can adapt. Before I'd be fine with a random dancer sitting and chatting, but am only really good with it now if she's a girl or waitress I know well who's legit killing time, a dancer who says she's good on bank for her shift, or one I'm going to spend decent money on. Over the years I've been that guy who walked out with too much cash because a dancer never walked over, so try to make sure other dudes get a look if they've been sitting a while. Even now I'll only make the effort to talk with a dancer who doesn't come over first if I'll be in town long enough for it to matter. Used to be I'd try and redeem a visit with at least one lapdance but now I don't care. What's one more dance after thousands and thousands?

Straight outta tha NC, comin' atcha with an AK ready to steal your daughter. ROAR!!!
Is anybody else curious about Snerzy’s perspective?
Is Snerzy an actual thing? And did I actually just type that? On a different note, did anyone see rickthelion as being the last troll standing on TUSCL? We should've taken bets on that.

Age?
I've said before I started on TUSCL in my 20's and that was about 20 years ago. Spent my first money on strippers in my teens because clubs in my town didn't card (and didn't care) back then. I'd say the age range for women I find genuinely attractive is 20's to 50's. 18 to 20 year olds are usually a no fly zone for me because they can't drink and aren't that interesting to talk with unless I'm setting things up to get in their panties. And at this point unless I somehow lose my mind and want to keep them around it's not fair or fun to mess with women at that age. I don't need the drama.

Tipping beyond expected
It's an interesting post and I'm not going to do any research on it, but a simple reply is to say there are many customs people accept that have questionable origins. I don't usually tip dancers but don't make a big deal out of it if they ask. I'm not a person who tips big in general (I do tip food service workers) and for dancers I base it on what my goals are. There was a situation where I went into a VIP prepared to tip $100 on top of what we'd already agreed to do, but found out in the middle that she was on her period so the entertainment wasn't quite was I was expecting (minimally a full nude show). She got less than that (without any discussion on it) but still got a tip because I want to keep things on good terms. When I first walked in she said she was about to do a room then didn't because of something the guy said (knowing the girl it probably wasn't no thanks) so I'm ok putting in a little extra to get what I'm looking for. I'm getting down to my last couple years doing all this hobby stuff anyway.

Dougster was a poster a lot of people had an issue with, and then some claimed another user who showed up was Dougster under a new name. DougS I don't really remember, but there's been plenty of quality contributors who weren't posting about topics or clubs I was paying attention to. When I looked the account up his stomping ground was Midwest and he was a Hip Hugger and Brad's Brass Flamingo guy in their heyday. I only got to the Brass Flamingo once (not in its heyday) and could see what the fuss was about.

Lap Dances in 2024?
Also wondering about this lol. Sounds a little crazy, although I remember in Europe there was a restaurant I went to with some coworkers and strippers basically walked in off the street and started performing at our table. If only I'd been at the peak of my powers then...

I always thought you'd been here longer than me, minnow. And azdd I think I was just pretending all you Arizona guys didn't have things so good back then lol. I'd be completely broke if I was able to spend more time in Phoenix, Seattle, or Detroit way back when. The San Diego and San Francisco scenes were already in steep decline by the time I had cash to spend but there were still good times to be had. I don't think so had an account on Z-bone but did read it, unless I had to make a login to read. Going back even further, besides Subraman (and kinda me) do we still have anyone around from the usenet days on ASS-C? I wasn't wallanon back then and actually don't remember my old handle anymore lol, but I was only really lurking back in those days.

"I look at those early reviews, it’s so bad." Better is relative and it's ok for things to improve over time. There's a lot of feedback that's been given over time (that founder has been very responsive to) that's helped shape this place. The reviews are longer now and the expectations are higher, and generally speaking need to meet a more restrictive criteria to get posted. That's generally ok, but a lot of the details are cribbed from other reviews now so a lot of it is window dressing. If an experienced club goer walks into a club, declares it shit for time they're in the place, I'm fine with a short review if they can explain what the problem was. Sometimes a club is just having a bad day or a down shift. If someone is writing reviews about the same club over and over I'm also fine with them not rehashing their same description over and over (or copy pasting it for the diehards). Casuals are writing reviews for free access and to try and share something useful in exchange for the access. For most people it's not a contest, but I'm ok with the people who put in extra effort so long as they keep in mind other people aren't as invested. "When founder put in review grading that was the best thing he ever did." A lot of what drove the community voting for reviews was people complaining about the amount of time it took to get reviews published, and for a vocal minority it was about quality. Some reviews were bad but a lot of them were ok and had useful details. That's really the bottom line. I'm ok with the voting system and like being able to comment on reviews as I vote, but I don't vote on them that often because others have that covered.

I used to also talk shit about not being the old dude in the club, but I'm aware that I'm not that young guy with the jokes anymore. I'd like to say that I'm still in a grey area, but there's no grey when a baby stripper and I cross paths lol.

shailynn there's one. ArtCollege gets his chip in a few months so let's count that. He'll get to 20 before me. Book Guy I thought was still posting once in a while. Lots of guys are over 10 years at this point so that's saying something. "I got to admit it’s sort of odd to think about 2004 as two decades ago." It's pretty crazy when I start to think about what I was into back then in my 20s and how much more there was to see and do lol. And I'd already done a ton of shit in the hobby even then. Just saw things differently in those days. It's not how time works, but it would've been fun to have some of the old TUSCL conversations over again with what I know now. "That’s why I try to have as much fun as I can I’m well aware of that clock." Dude shadowcat's in his 80s and still getting down. Keep your game face on and the good times will be there. But to your point I'm definitely enjoying all the moments as they come because I know how things are with each girl can and will change. I was just looking the other day at a couple of pictures from the last time I hung out with my first ATF (who I still know many years later) and lemme tell you time is right up there with death and taxes lol.

Locales we never ever talk about
If there's a dancer with same pasties on for two months I'm running the other way. That's worse than getting a face full of another guy's spit residue when she doesn't wipe off between customers. Maybe. On second thought it's a tie.

Gifts for Dancers
There's one former dancer I've bought gifts for. Christmas, birthday, whatnot. And I don't really even remember how it started, but I've been seeing this girl for years now (like back when this thread was new). Small gifts and I've covered a few bills for her but she doesn't really ask for things. She's bought me small gifts. I suppose we're friends by now lol. For other dancers I've bought outfits and sometimes shoes. Those all got put to good use, and as someone else said it's basically around the same cost as a few lapdances. When I look at how much to spend on dancers basically everything turns into comps for lapdances, vip sessions, or hookups with other girls. I've definitely done the Sally's asking for this much but that's 2 or 3 Suzies head math lol. I don't count drinks, meals, random amusement expenses and hotel rooms. That's just the cost of doing business.

Oh Dear. The club is closing.
I'm pretty sure I've been there, but it was years ago. Can't remember the exact road trip, but none of the clubs around Mobile weren't that great. The Huntsville clubs up in Northern AL are actually decent and the Birmingham clubs in Central AL had hot talent but not much action ITC when I was there.

Thanks to the power of the internet I realize now I didn't give enough credit when she was in peak form. But she's definitely maintained the hotness. Not quite Liz Hurley and Salma Hayek levels of magic, but I'd wager she's had less work done.

Lineup
There's not a one size fits all answer here. If you're stalking a dancer don't stalk lol. If I want to know if a dancer is in I'll ask at the door when I walk in. Those are clubs where I know the dancers and the staff has seen me around. If they've seen me around then they know the dancers are OK with me being told they're working to get money. I don't usually tell dancers I'm coming in ahead of time because I'm easily sidetracked. The last time I did the girl got totally drunk and had to leave early, but a hot dancer I'd been avoiding was there and glued herself to my lap. That story ended well so no complaints. At places where I'm not known I probably wouldn't know the dancers well enough to ask for them anyway. I stopped reading reviews to pick out dancers try years ago, but if a dancer is mentioned over and over again I might listen out for her name. A funny thing happened the other day where a dancer I reached out to because I was in town did a "where are u?" so I showed up and she was nowhere to be found. I really wanted to bang this dancer so I gave her about a half an hour to write back after I showed up, then asked the door girl if Buffy was around. One of the door guys literally stuck his head through the cashier window to yell at her "you can't tell him that!". She probably remembered I'd dropped a managers pass when I walked in (night cover is over $30 bucks so I actually kept the ones for this club) so she glanced over in the guy's direction and said quietly "I think she is". And she was. Just doing a vip room when I walked in.

Favorites with Odor Issues
There's a dancer I'm a fan of who has a little underarm bo issue. Not horrible, but she's not a big perfume or deodorant person. It turns out I like the way she stinks so it isn't a problem for me, but both times I've done a vip with her I've noticed it. When I saw her otc I didn't smell the bo, so it's probably a stage dance thing where she doesn't prioritize freshening up after she's on stage. The dancer in question is a bit of a free spirit, so I should probably just be glad she's not rocking hairy pits.

What are your rules when you are at a strip club?
Don't press. I forgot that one last week to awkwardly hilarious results, but the misstep directly led to much better results than if I'd gotten what I thought I wanted.

Stripper/escort/ paid sex worker…. What’s the difference
nicespice: "And I took that personally..." bigbootyliker: "nothing is work if it's not paid." - except volunteer work. I also thought paid sex worker was a little redundant because they have common words for the unpaid ones, but why not dust off the old troll button once in a while?
