Who'd You Rather: Salma Hayek vs. Kate Upton

Time for the third round and let's start it off with what I think is the most anticipated matchup. One could make the case this is the biggest matchup of the bracket thus far — maybe the biggest matchup we'll have in the bracket as a whole when it's all said and done.
Distinctly different styles. Both very popular ladies.
Also, as we enter a new round, we add more, uh, "sample material": Another picture & clip for each lady.

Hayek is currently the odds-on favorite to take the whole bracket, and one could make a case Upton might be her biggest challenge before the ultimate championship round. She clearly has fans, she's won both of her matchups by a wide margin and has garnered more votes than anyone in the bracket. That said, she's not necessarily everyone's flavor, plus, I suppose it's plausible one could evaluate their spouse choices and say Hayek (one of the world's richest men) might be more gold-digger-ish than Upton (still a rich guy, but a more down-to-earth baseball player). In short, she's clearly one of the world's sexiest women, but so is Upton. She's earned the crown of favorite, but this is no guarantee.

Upton becomes the next to step up to the plate against the powerhouse Hayek. After a bit of a tussle with a more-popular-than-expected Lisa Guerrero, Upton found her footing against fellow SI cover model Rebecca Romijn. What does she have going for her? Well, as is the case in most comparisons with Upton, she's bustier, has the California vibe and is more of a combination of hot and cute than Hayek, who can be cute and funny but is so scorching that she even made the relatively tame-looking Frida Kahlo seem hot. However, Upton is your typical blonde, and voters have leaned heavily brunette, with Hayek being the flag-bearing standard. Can Upton compete? There's only one way to find out.

The Hayek train rolls on, and it's getting more and more difficult to see how she gets stopped.
I, for one, like big ol' boobs, and Kate Upton has 'em. So I'll toss her one more vote. But I'm only one man, so it won't be enough.

Hayek wins again. Granted, the percentage of the vote she's garnered has gone down from round to round (87.1 against Jenny McCarthy, 75.7 against Denise Richards and 70.3 against Upton), but her vote totals have remained untouchable throughout (27 first round, 28 second round, 26 third round; the only other winner that's approached that has been Gianna Michaels with 23). The other Celebrity semi may just be to find out who the runner-up is in this bracket. That said, Michaels may — may — loom in the championship, and that's enough of a contrast of styles that maybe Gianna puts up a fight. But this is definitely looking like Hayek's tournament to lose moreso than anyone else's to win.
Nonetheless, we'll keep going because, well, it's still fun to compare and you never know what'll happen.
Furthermore, our sample seems to be a little anti-blonde. Add it up and you're getting what you're getting.
I'm fine with there being a clear winner. The votes are bearing it out.
I would pick Salma in her prime 15-20 yes ago. As she's in her early 50's now.
