Insurance ratesCrash rates are up significantly since before COVID. Additionally death rates in vehicle to vehicle crashes have been increasing. Pedestrian killings by motor vehicles are the highest they've been in decades in the USA, and are far above rates in any other developed country.
There are several reasons for this: consumers continue the secular trend towards larger cars, and auto manufacturers are making heavier and heavier vehicles. In many cities (e.g. Boston, NYC, SF, but also smaller places like Burlington VT) the police have quiet quit and aren't enforcing any traffic laws nor are they bothering to investigate many thefts. Huge increases in distracted driving, and also, at least in Mass, people can't stay in their fucking lane.

Dive bar, very disappointing. It's worth timing the songs to see if they are actually longer than other clubs, and also to observe if they play shorter songs when PLs are getting dances.

Like bowling candlepin at Rhode Island SprawlsLast time I was there was a midweek night. I didn't stay on the floor long enough to see the whole lineup, but they had three that I found very attractive, and perhaps 5 that I wasn't into. Not a lot of in between.

Who picks the musicI tipped the DJ $50 to let me pick out the next three songs before buying a 3/100 deal. I chose Marque Moon, Stairway to Heaven, and Sister Ray. They told me those were longer songs than they usually play, but I insisted a deal is a deal.

That goes to show how tastes differ, as she isn't to my tastes at all. On the whole differing tastes are a good thing, as it spreads the joy around.

How not to smell like a french whore when you get homeYou should pick up a hobby that would encourage showering after you are done with it. Ideally, it is fun in its own right. Perhaps you can find a pottery or metal working studio near a club. Perhaps there is an indoor sports facility near one and you can join a volley ball or hockey league. If none of that is feasible, find a 24 fitness or such.

ATACdawgThank God Trump is FIRED!!! Lock him up!
Michigan Wolverines Win!!!!!He was throwing off his back foot all game. I wonder if he was unable to put pressure on his front foot after he turned his ankle on the first or second drive? Against Texas he looked NFL ready, but against Michigan his accuracy just fell apart.
Michigan's DL was very impressive.

MeowUpdate based on a more recent visit: I stopped in again, but this time on a Thursday. This particular night had a much less dieing scene feel. There were about 11-12 girls working, and a lot more customers than the Wed I described in my review. Fortunately, the girls still outnumbered the customers. No issues finding a girl to my tastes that was available. Based on a really small sample size, Wed for your pick of the lot and privacy, but Thursday for a better scene and more choices.

Smoking in the clubThis is crazy. I haven't been to Fla in years because I don't fancy the weather, so I was completely unaware that they still permitted smoking. I think Nevada still has smoking in casinos. Are they the only two states left to allow smoking in bars?

How rare is "Natural Beauty"?Very common in my part of the world, but perhaps less so in the South? I don't see it often in clubs though, instead I see it in dive bars, walking in the parks, in coffee shops, etc. Tastes vary, but obvious makeup is a real turnoff for me. What Moody says most likely applies though.

[OT] Do young people in the UK hate America?^^^ Raises interesting points. This is a sweeping generalization and certainly won't apply to a large portion of the UK population, but here goes. The UK (especially England and Whales) views themselves are much closer to the USA than they do the rest of Europe (Ireland is a notable and complex exception to this). Their business leaders and Economics professors frequently refer to their economic system as the American/British economic model. Millennials there grew up watching Friends reruns and Millennials here grew up reading Harry Potter. Brexit and MAGA have extremely close parallels and fueled each otehr, as did Thatcher and Reagan 45 years ago. There are plenty more examples (and plenty of counter examples), but I certainly wouldn't think that the typical British view of America is the same as the typical European, and I think that most Americans would make the same generalizations.
