Like bowling candlepin at Rhode Island Sprawls

Was in a business trip to New England and had never heard of this place before so decided to try out.

First, you're going to have to make a trek no matter where you are staying since it's a solid 20 minute drive from any civilization. It's cute in that it's just a house in a suburban area, but also makes it wicked awful to get to. I wouldn't have made it without GPS.

But arriving is pleasant. It's a house. Like a real house. So you park in the front area and walk into the house like a real house. Slightly weird procedure to pay cover before going into the living room.

I understand why this place has gotten good reviews before. It has that casual, we're just hanging at a fraternity house or a friend's house vibe to it. Decent bar on one side. Plenty of chairs. One big stage on one side and a small one on the other.

The big issue on the night I went was the lack of quality dancers. Nearly everyone was at most a 6. They also barely circulated and mostly stayed at the bar. Lack of circulation can be dealt with with initiative on one's part, but what's the motivation to get up and talk up a 5 or 6. Adding insult to injury, some drunk joker came over and sat in the other chair at my table and tried to talk to me. I definitely did not drive through Rhode Island to spend the night talking to a drunk joker.
