First off, these clubs should be avoided if you have the option. At least in my region, every single club that scans IDs has a superior option nearby that doesn't. I'm also not referring to extras here, but superior in terms of prices, ambience and dancers friendliness and looks. Clubs that scan IDs without consent should be noted in reviews here and referred to state regulators in states that prohibit it (e.g Rhode Island)

Good review. I think Hour Place in Jay Maine technically has the lowest prices in new England at $10/non clipped song.

There is nothing useful in telling a dancer you dislike something she's done that is irreversible (yes, I know that piercing jewelry can be taken out). My hope is that dancers who get altered in anyway are doing it primarily for themselves.

How busy was it? It's shame that prices are increasing so much, I can't help but think it is going lead to a big decrease in dances sold.

Touching varies by state, club and even dancer. At Kittens two way touching--everywhere but bikini area--is the norm. Generally speaking this is the norm for most Eastern Mass clubs. Individual dancers may have more restrictions.

^^ Disagree. If you wouldn't wear long pants to a normal bar or to an MLB game then don't wear long pants to the club.

It might be regional, but I see plenty of couples in clubs. Usually they are older, but not always.

For Columbia, it was "15+" (source: Columbia's student paper) Jewish students of the "more than 100" students arrested (source NY Post). Columbia's undergraduate population is 23% Jewish (source Columbia's admission site). I'm not sure how that 23% figure changes up or down when Barnard is included. That doesn't seem out of line with the national figure of 38% of American Jews oppose the war (released in a poll this week). Anyway--I was really just trying to give a bit of clarity to shailynn's musing. This board has a whole lot of PLs who are either Jewish or have many Jewish friends. They'll all have lived experience of what every-day opinion is towards Israel's current behavior. @twentyfive's personal account is the best real life report we've had.

I think that higher single song dance prices are hurting clubs. It seems relatively common to see reviews with higher prices followed by a series of "it's dead at XXX club" posts. The big fear is that blahblahblah23's observations are the beginning of a very negative spiral.

Now Rick's advice is amusing and largely helpful. However, if you are clubbing in cities with big tech industries, there is no such thing as "too nerdy." In fact you should contemplate buying a pocket protector just for club visits. Meow

On two occasions I've had other PLs approach girls that were sitting with me. In both cases the girls went to do dances and then came back to sit with me. While I don't plan on ever pulling this move, I have to say, it didn't really bother me.
