    Home prices near you
For my primary home, prices are up perhaps 25% total over the last 5 years. That being said, the market is extremely choppy. Very low inventory of homes (because where are you going to move to and give up your 2% mortgage) is currently supporting the market. Generally speaking, quality of life in the medium sized city nearest to me is much higher now than it was a few years ago (my definition of medium sized city is any city that isn't LA, NYC, or Chicago but that has 4 major sports franchises--feel free to quibble). Cost of apartments are absolutely insane, and I don't know how 22 year olds do it.

The problem with Leftist groupthink and hypocritical liberal intolerance
WTF is up with all the political trolling. This is one of the times that "both sides" are actually equally guilty. Can't we get back to having threads complaining about girls on their phones, arguing the merits of LDKs, or impassioned debates about Detroit vs Miami, etc?

There are a lot of bad assumptions on this thread about "what liberals want," and liberal beliefs on mitigating climate change. Also, I think some of the liberals on this thread wrongly assume that the conservatives are all climate deniers, etc. I think it is fair to say that people of both persuasions would like to slow climate change and maintain a high standard of living. It would be nice if we could debate policy options rather than demonizing each other, but whatevs. As an example, all liberals that I know (and given that I'm in the North East I know a lot) want increased nuclear power generation. Most are aware of the shortcomings of recycling and do what they can to mitigate it. I'd suggest to my fellow PLs that happen to consume a lot of talk radio or cable news, it might be worth you while to seek out a little bit of the other side's media to see what liberals actually want. I think you'll find that it is quite different than what you currently think. Also, MSNBC and CNN suck, don't start there.

Rising sea levels are a threat to one of my favorite clubs, which is near the beach. Lack of snowfall means I have not had an excuse to visit the Jay Ballet, which still has $10/dap dances. Stories like these are why we should care. Also, you know, massive suffering, potential food shortages, and unpleasantly hot summers.

Sonic Youth: Diamond Sea (technically it isn't a solo b/c both Lee Ranaldo and Thurston Moore play a bit on it) White Stripes: Icky Thump Black Keys Thickfreakness Jimi Hendrix: Machine Gun. Alice in Chains: Rotten Apple (though really anything from Jar of Flies could make a list)

    Problems at the border
Spinning this discussion a different way, what do you say when crossing into Canada to visit a club? Normally I have another reason for my visit, which I use. However, a midnight trip to Chez Diane would be hard to pair with anything normie.

    Open on Mondays
Yep, unless you are willing to go to a Boston club (also open Mondays), you have to hit up RI or even, I suppose, NH. From my perspective, the Boston clubs have drawbacks: price and risk of being seen by someone you know as you walk from LaGrange street into the theater district.

    Dive bar, very disappointing.
So I visited here to conduct research. Their songs vary in length dramatically. I timed 12 songs. The shortest was 2 minutes and the longest was 3:30. They averaged out to 2:50. They may have changed DJs during that time, as the songs seemed to get longer later on. FWIW, The dancer who i got dances with actually seemed to realize the songs were short, and extended the time.

Getting Attention From Girls At A Regulars Club
A small tip and "I'd like to buy a dance" during her stage set has never failed me. Of course, this won't work if she's skipping stage sets.

    Nothing changes
Was there on a Tuesday in December (just for holiday drinks with a friend group) and they had at least 15 dancers. I'm unconvinced that this place's reputation for extra hot dancers and pricey dances is warranted on either count. Individual dances are a bad deal, but it sounds like (from discussions with dancers) that rooms are priced similar to everywhere else and have similar contact (no first hand experience). The lineup had some pretty girls, but wasn't superior to other regional clubs.

$10 for a microbrew or for something in the bud category? How long were the songs?

Oregon has already decriminalized shrooms. A few East Coast states appear poised to follow.

Presumably most of the violence the dancers are worried about wouldn't be easily observed by you (or other patrons), hence the panic button requirement. This seems like a good idea to me. We have so many posts worrying ladies choosing other SW professions contributing to the slow decline of the industry. One way to combat it is just to give the dancers better (and safer) working conditions.
