Jacksonville's interesting because there's like 19 clubs but very spread out over a large area and without a lot of business to go around, leading to a lot of dead times. I really enjoy the variety myself, and the different types of clubs.
Also, Wacko's advertises way more than other clubs on TV & radio for years, so it draws many more customers than clubs even right down the road.
But the variety makes for nice contrasts. Wacko's is almost always popping, but also very high hustle (at least by JVille standards) whereas Sinsations often has a high girl to customer ratio. Gold Club can be dead, in terms of business and energy, many nights but is very low on SS and good for hanging out IMO. Officer's Club at the beach is beyond dead at slow times but picks up some nights and has all different girls come thru so that can be fun. You get the idea... makes me feel like I can have different hangouts for different weeks, and if I have a bad night, I'll wait to try that club again for a couple months.
That said, there's a number of clubs further north in the city that I've never even visited and can't comment on. I'm hoping to find an excuse to take a day trip or two to the other side of town soon and check some of them out. I know Solid Gold has food reviews on here, so they'd be high on my list.

Bartenders who give dances are great because it's like an unexpected payoff after you've been flirting with a girl for awhile (whereas with a stripper you know the whole time you're talking what it's building up to).
I guess there's some tension or issue at some places where the dancers don't like bartenders/shot girls offering dances because it takes away from the money they could make, but as a customer I love it. There's a bartender I like at one club I got good VIP dances from and on a later visit I asked her if she was still doing that and the shift manager told her she couldn't and it caused a whole fight.

One girl told me there's a new woman heading up Vice and she's determined to crack down on SCs. From what I've heard, they're just gonna send a few girls to jail overnight to make an example. The crime listed for some is "simulating sex," which can cover almost anything that goes down in a club.
It really sucks cause in that News4Jax article, they include the real names & faces of the girls that got arrested, which is a fucked up way of intimidating any dancer who wants to work in Jax, and it wasn't for doing anything of any substance (sex, drugs, etc.)

The police raids have definitely affected how the dancers act, tho so far it hasn't impacted Sins, at least as of my most recent visits (or Wackos, but I spend less time there).
Basically, a lot of girls at different clubs have outright asked me if I'm an undercover cop. One girl half-jokingly said it's because I wear khaki pants (I told her I'm not quite ready to wear sweats to a SC and cross that line, she laughed). It can end up in a strange semi-negotiation over a girl taking off her top because they're clearly a little weary if they don't already know me, but usually it's fine after awhile.
My one visit to Doll House, I felt like the girls were vetting me to see if I was a cop for like my first hour there, but afterwards they were very nice about it. It was a strange experience.

I was one of those Drunken Fools at Spearmint Rhino at 4am, being a total tourist and then bitching about what a rip-off club it is.
In my brief experience, they had all types of girls. The website advertises girls with kind of a porn star look, but girls looked just like at any other club IMO. Good looking, varied, no particular type. (None of my problems with the club had to do with how the ladies looked, all to do with you can't sit for 2 minutes without somebody trying to charge you for something or get a scheme going.)

Brief Advice = Take cabs instead of Uber. Unlike most cities, Vegas cab rides are cheaper, especially if you pay cash and avoid the fees. Plus they pull right up to the hotel/casino for convenience.

The story of getting kicked out for throwing up is this: My first time going to a club that didn't sell alcohol, I tried to game plan by drinking enough to cover me for the night and taking an Uber. I wildly misjudged how much/how fast to drink, having not mixed my own drinks for like 15+ years.
I was in a great mood on the ride over, really had fun talking shit with the driver! Got there, talked to a girl for like 30 seconds, excused myself to go to the bathroom, threw up *everywhere*. Tried to go back but it was over, a bouncer put me out and I sat in the parking lot recovering and feeling like an idiot for about an hour then caught an Uber home.
I've completely adjusted now when I have a pre-club drink, I keep it small. I don't drink that often, maybe once a week.

Good review, captured the vibe of the place. "Unpretentious" is a good description for Sins, except for a few standoff-ish girls, it's one of the friendlier clubs in Jax that I've been to.
The racial "politics" in Jacksonville strip clubs are odd sometimes, I read one black dancer online say every club here is "either ghetto or a Caucasia." IDK if that's 100%, but most the clubs I frequent have a couple black girls, usually really pretty, who get ignored on the regular. One time at Passions I watched a crowd of like 40 guys all grouped around the one white dancer while 5 cute black girls danced for nobody.

As of yesterday: Corner booths are back open and being used for very corner booth things. It is $30 per dance, not $20 (girls ask for more/tips more often and directly than any other club I've been at, too). A dancer told me they had 50 girls there and a 2 hr rotation to get onstage, tho that's on a Thursday night. I didn't count them, obviously, but it did seem like a lot of girls, way more than even Sinsation's down the road, and considerably more than most Jax clubs.

I was trying to summarize the club somewhat like a listing for ppl who hadn't been. I guess I could counterweight by saying that I got a little starry-eyed for Gold Club when I first started SC-hopping, and while it still is the nicest location in Jax IMO and has some of the hottest girls, I've found at a lot of other clubs the girls have better attitudes overall (tho it varies based on the night, naturally).
and I guess that Gold Club is very light in the extras dept., tho YMMV.

From my handful of visits, I feel like a few girls really make the $45 VIP worth your while but a lot of the girls hate that the area's even there or ignore it because of the implication. Some will tell you outright there's no difference between the dances except for the extra privacy but that isn't always the case, just depends on the dancer. ($45 isn't a crazy price to me, Gold Club dances are $40 for a normal dance... it's Emperor's Club that kinda turned me off by trying to sell expensive blocks of time, like up to $300 or $400, before you've even talked to a girl)

Good article, interesting thoughts. I think for a lot of us it's about figuring out what we want, and the different things girls bring out of us.
I'm a pretty timid guy most the time, so dancers who bring out my inner dom are usually the most fun. Like girls who have a GND look but talk about being submissive and ask me to choke them. That kinda qualifies as Raunchy, but at the same time there's a little bit of a connection there, a chemistry that makes it exciting.
Usually what works for me is talking dirty, like even if a dance starts very tame if a girl gets into it when I start talking shit and she starts talking back, then it tends to end up fun.
But that's just personal preferences that I've discovered from my recent heavy SC-ing. I started out with more of a wide-eyed, kid on Christmas morning approach, but now I know I definitely want the dance to be more interactive.
I agree as far as the quality of the experience isn't just about whether or not a girl gets me off. Like girls who just want to sell FS don't usually leave me with much except for an interesting story to tell. But one of the best girls I ever met gave me this kind of accelerated, intense GFE that was like so warm and intimate in a weird, abrupt, quickly escalating way and ended in a HJ and it was awesome...maybe cause I wasn't expecting it?
So I'd consider that a mix of sensual and raunchy. Just the more choreographed aspects of the dance, like just watching a girl move and look good can be really fun, but when a girl doesn't want to deviate from that at all, that's when a dance kinds sucks. It might be just that she's new/nervous but it makes me feel like there's no connection between us at all.
Also, I really like kissing. Not sure where that falls on the sensual/raunchy scale. Only like maybe 1 in 5 girls is cool with kissing on the mouth, which I always love, but usually on the neck and shoulder is good.

For the most part, every time a girl tells me she's been stripping for awhile, like over a year, she ends up giving much better dances. Newer girls often seem scared or nervous to me, though there's exceptions of course.
Price wise, occasionally a girl will offer a discount on each additional dance after the first one. Nothing that I think would qualify as undercutting. A few times girls have suggested I could get an expensive block of time instead of the per-song rate, or that I could add a cash tip (which doesn't bother me, I generally tip extra for good dances).
I definitely feel like more experienced girls know how to talk to guys and make them feel comfortable, or how to get me past any initial uncertainty.
