Talking dirty, for me, is usually a sign that I'm really enjoying myself and my visit, and overcoming my initial shyness, and if it goes well really well and a dancer talks it back to me, that makes me really happy. A few girls say way dirtier shit than I do, but that's fun, too.

The weeks where it hasn't rained here have been crazy hot. Fortunately this week we've gotten some cloud cover, even if it made for a somewhat drab 4th of July. It spared us from the killer heat/humidity combo that makes everyone feel ill.
I worry about the storms now, too, every year. My area is usually a pretty safe one, but like 25 said, it only takes one. A lot of my family lives close to the ocean and a hurricane that devastated the area would be brutal for us (and a lot of other people, of course).

Laplurker - Most the VIP dances are topless, it's one of those "negotiate it with the girl" deals. Pretty much the same as any bikini bar, but non-nude doesn't 100% equal low mileage IME.
doc - Good review, checks out with my experiences. OC is a high risk for being dead, and doubly so during day shift, tho there's a lot of clubs in Jax that carry that risk. OTOH, I've had great times there when I do find a girl or 3 that I like. But on day shift, like you said, you can wait awhile for a girl (if you have the time and inclination to wait) or end up talking to the bartender/staff.
There's a sign outside the VIP saying all dances are $25, supposedly that was management punishing girls for overcharging by reducing the price. Most girls will charge $35 or negotiate in that direction.

You're probably right that some us work too hard at this shit. OTOH, thinking too much about yr hobby is sometimes the fun part. Keeps me from thinking about work. But that's why I read this board, I can always learn from others w/ more experience than me.
I wonder how many strippers keep notes on their custies, like Sasha Grey in The Girlfriend Experience movie. Some girls remember a lot of details from our pre-dance conversations. (Actually, keeping spreadsheets on what they make is probably good business...waiters I know have an app to keep track of their tips over time.)

The first few times dancers gave me their number, I had the same kinda reaction in my mind like "Oh, she probably thinks I'm such a mark etc. etc." when I'm fine with just coming back to the club to see her (I didn't say anything like that tho, and girls would usually add something like "It's a real number!" or "Seriously, you can text me, I'll text back.")
But now I realize how many girls build up to OTC or at least cultivate some kind of relationship with regular customers. I think if you plan to be a regular, getting the number is a good thing. Like everybody said, if you don't want to use it, just don't use it. I've ignored a fair amount of texts and calls when I wasn't going to clubs for a minute, and the girl was no less happy to hear from me/get my $$$ when I came back.
Then again, I don't have anyone looking at my phone going "Why are 5 of your last 10 texts to random women and say things like What's a Good Hotel in the Area?"
