As far as I can tell, this EO does nothing new for strip clubs. Bars have already been closed in Detroit and most of the state. All the clubs still open at the moment are already technically operating as restaurants.
The 10 person limit on gatherings and events does not mean all restaurants are restricted to a total capacity of 10 people. It means a party of 10 is the limit for one party.
I’m kind of expecting another EO to come out Friday or Sunday night that tries to kill the restaurant loophole for strip clubs.

Okay, I guess there’s just something different about the particular set of clubs I frequent.
I admit I’ve seen so many bad reviews and comments about Chicago clubs that I haven’t gone to any further west than Atlantis and Club 390.

I’m betting club owners don’t want to risk the political firestorm and media hit pieces they could get by letting normal couch dances and VIP resume while gyms, hair salons, and massage parlors are all still closed. Especially when Detroit has had one of the worst death rates from covid.
I’d like to be proven wrong though, I’m about to say “fuck it” and get a cheap flight out of state for a weekend PL trip.

“Whitmer said she plans to sign another executive order moving Regions 6 and 8 in Northern Michigan to Phase Five, the "containing" phase, later this week, provided that the virus curve continues to flatten.”
So we might find out what Phase Five means later this week.

I expect they’re going to try opening as restaurants like the clubs in other states are doing. I’m not even sure customers will be allowed to socialize with dancers at their tables.
My hunch is there won’t be any lap dancing before July 3.

Chicas Bonitas is the only sure thing I know of. Or AMPs and studios of which there are (were?) many.
Baby Dolls Dallas is one of my favorite strip clubs, but it’s not a 100% guaranteed extras club so it’s never mentioned or discussed on this board. Still you can get lucky there.

The strip club scene in Texas is so big and spread out that I think it’ll be resilient, even if one or two of the major metros make a push to stamp out lap dance clubs for good, there will be others who don’t and business will shift there.

Funny, five years ago I went on a group tour in Amsterdam, and at that time the guide said “if you ever wanted to check out the red light district you need to go now, because it’s going to be gone in six years”. So the political pressure has been building for a while.
I did go to see it and I can see why the locals might have an issue with it. It’s not a large area and it gets packed with drunken tourists and gawkers every night. Maybe like 2% of the crowd are mongers.

Detroit and Miami are kind of in their own league and they get talked about to death here.
Texas is hopping, but there seems to be a lot of ebb and flow with girls and managers moving between clubs. Austin is not bad when it comes to dance mileage and extras. Dallas and Houston have more to offer than Austin does, but I wouldn’t quite lump them in with Detroit and Miami either.
As for my part of the Midwest, I’m pretty sure the clubs around me will all be gone in 10 years. More and more young guys who aren’t the kind who have legitimate disposable income. More and more girls looking at their phone or drinking with their friends all night, hoping to God all they have to do is go on stage and a bunch of guys will “make it rain”.

In my experience any time before 1:30 AM is “early” and it starts getting busy by 2:30 AM.
The only good thing about this place is they have a few super hot dancers that refuse to work at any other club. But the regular dances are so bad that you should just plan on VIP, and if you’re on this site you probably aren’t going to see their VIP as a good value either.

I gotta agree with pretty much all you said. There are a couple girls who give good dances if you can get them, but it’s tougher here to get female attention than it is in a normal bar.

Some of the clubs in Austin are weird with the rules, I guess you’re not “supposed” to touch the dancer’s tits even when mutual touching is allowed and expected. I’ve been yelled at by managers a few times for getting too handsy, usually followed by the girl flipping off the manager after he turned around. But 95% of the time the rule is “everything but the kitty”.

XTC is pretty bad with upsells and ROBs, and the club fees are high. Last time I was there it was 25 at the door (weekend night) plus 25 for the VIP wristband, plus 5 for the parking lot guy. Dancer hotness is a mixed bag on weekdays.
If I was in South Austin in a Wednesday night, I would go to XTC but I would definitely have one or two other clubs as a backup plan.

There’s not one club in Austin that’s super consistent, like you might be used to with cities like Miami or Dallas. You have a lot of girls coming and going from Dallas, Houston, Miami, and California. I think the managers move around a lot too.
If I want to see the hottest girls period and don’t care about value, I’d go to Palazio.
For a Latina experience with high $ risk/high reward, I’d go to XTC.
If I want the easiest extras I would go to Landing Strip.
For the best dancer variety I would go to YR. (Variety can be a double edged sword)
