Strip Clubbing 6 - 12 months From Now

I just had a talk with my co-worker who insists things/life will never go back to the normal we knew before this pandemic. I'm optimistic for the future in general, but being in my mid 30s this is the first I've experienced of living life during a crisis like this. I was wondering what do you guys think strip clubbing will come to, especially those states/areas that allow two-way contact? Just air dances? Or like I've seen on some movies the stripper inside a display window?

6 months from now, the media will remind us that a second wave is coming. So clubs will be open, but people will be nervous. I would not be surprised to see touching not allowed in most clubs. A year from now, no one will remember Covid 19. The fun will be back. Although the economy won't be back so we won't be spending as much money then.

Just like the depression shaped the attitude of two generations, I think people’s attitudes and decisions will change post CoVid. It’s not so much the legal environment but how people choose to live their life.

In general, people will be more home centric. Less travel. More likely to dine at home. Less likely to attend sporting events and concerts. More work-from-home. More home schooling. Population shift to the suburbs and less dense urban areas.

How will this affect clubs ? I think PLs will continue to be PLs but the more casual customer will be less likely to club. As a result, some clubs will close.

Most clubs will modify their environment to accommodate some social distancing. Some will become show clubs. Some will eliminate lap dances but allow VIP. Some won’t change. The marketplace will determine which of these models survives. I don’t think high contact clubs disappear, but there will be fewer of them.

It mostly depends on the virus and the virus has not told us when it plans to stop reeking havoc - IMO once Covid-19 stops being a significant worry, then things will likely go back to normal - PLs will always be horny; dancers will always need/want $$$.

The way I see it, the government has always been the biggest headwind for strip-clubs - if Covid-19 serves to have government/LE put more nails in the strip-clubs' coffins, then yeah it may be a new-normal going-forward if LE decides they have additional ammo against the clubs and want to use that ammo.

I would guesstimate that areas where local LE is less-stringent w.r.t. clubs, those clubs will likely go back to normal once Covid-19 is no longer a big-threat - areas where LE is constantly trying to suppress the clubs, those clubs may become more-lame.

Time doesn't run backwards, so it isn't that hard to say thing things will not go back to being the way they were before the COVID-19 situation. They didn't after 9/11, but something that we now talk about as "normal" came into being.

"I was wondering what do you guys think strip clubbing will come to, especially those states/areas that allow two-way contact?"

Yes. If there are clubs still around (which I expect) in areas that permit two way contact there will be two way contact. In places where customers are accustomed to having two way contact, there will be two way contact regardless of what the sentiments of the civic leaders. Unless they want to go out of their way rewriting ordinances for something so minor. At the Federal level someone took the time to exclude sex work from recovery funding, so who knows what people will do.

"Just air dances?"

No. See above.

"Or like I've seen on some movies the stripper inside a display window?"

Maybe. It's how some red light districts are set up for advertising. But I don't see it being the norm. Peep shows (which is what they call the type of entertainment you're describing) were already on their last legs. But there was a time when they were common when laws were more restrictive. Cams fill a lot of that experience now, but you get some folks who need to see a real live girl in front of them in the same place.

On avg, people will usually try to give themselves the best life possible - on avg, once a person gets used to a certain lifestyle, on avg folks will not want to revert to a lower-standard unless they have no other choice.

Hard to say for sure how it will shake-out - folks that are more risk-adverse may cut down on their lifestyle (traveling, eating out; clubs, etc) - and there can be folks that may realize tomorrow is not promised to anyone and opt for living to the fullest especially since they haven't been able to do so in the last 2-months -if I was to bet I'd bet things will be closer to pre-Covid-19 vs a new normal of austerity (assuming the economy recovers to a decent level and Covid is not a big threat)

There is a lot of discussion of this topic on stripperweb. A lot of the focus is on earning potential. Consensus is that there will be far less money to be made in clubs.

Well I made a faux pas of saying “dirty club” not too long ago, and a lot of backlash came my way about whorephobia and contributing to violence against sex workers. (Obviously, this wasn’t on stripperweb) Beforehand, it was getting more normal for some to be open and honest about full service activities, but now it seems the pendulum is swinging even further and I wonder if it’s becoming the new normal to not be allowed to disparage extras/high mileage anymore. And the sad thing was, I wasn’t even trying to trash dirteee—oops, I mean high mileage clubs. Was just trying to give a simple description. The anger at another individual there was even worse. As in, really vicious personal insults were given out to her.

There’s a new normal that was already starting and post covid seems even more solidified. Even if inside the club gets more restricted, I imagine it’s going to get accelerated even further.

Won’t be every club tho. Especially the more stage centric ones. And also the hold out clubs that didn’t get greedy during good times and stayed *constant* and still popular since all the time. Examples King of Diamonds MN, Acropolis Portland, Mons Venus and Thee Dollhouse Tampa, etc They resisted change when going upwards and will be in a position to not have to change its MO down either because they are just known for resisting change period.

Assuming that some bio-Einstein finds a way to control if not prevent the virus, I think mongering will almost be the same as it used to be by this time next year. I'm old enough to remember flying on the first anniversary of 9/11, and people had largely settled back into the way things were before. Again, almost. We'll have a new normal that we'll have to work around and we will.

Might be slightly different within the U.S. because the Moral Majority still loves it when a president pays a pornstar for sex but hates it when Joe Citizen wants to feel up some titties while drinking a beer. :-)

Things will be different for a short while...but then back to whatever normal was before. People will be more cautious with a new customer/dancer they don't know - but once people are comfortable with each other it will all be 'ok'.

That said - I don't plan to hop into a club with any rush at all.

"... I'm old enough to remember flying on the first anniversary of 9/11, and people had largely settled back into the way things were before ..."

I, as most people, will fly if we need to (either for business or pleasure) - but I gotta admit, till this day, I avoid flying on 9/11 unless there's no choice (in the back of my mind it's the feeling that some terrorist group will try to pull a similar stunt on the anniversary of 9/11 - in my mind it's unlikely, but the thought is still there).

The strip club scene in Texas is so big and spread out that I think it’ll be resilient, even if one or two of the major metros make a push to stamp out lap dance clubs for good, there will be others who don’t and business will shift there.

Unless something catastrophic happens with the numbers...

I suspect folks will become fatigued of the fear and the Covid stories will eventually be buried or drop of.

Given this, I believe SC will be back to normal without restrictions within four months. I'm biased by wishful thinking though.

I suspect that the clubs will be slow until a vaccine is widely available, then will return to some sort of normalcy after that. Who knows when that comes though, it could be later in the year, or could go into early/mid 2021.

Three years from now, I suspect will will have an effective and widely administered vaccine and the economy will be on the upswing. Until then:

Depending on the particular state, bar & clubs will be permitted to open in a couple of months, but occupancy will be limited to 25% or so of firecode permitted occupancy.

Day shift, lower customer count but favored by horny retired guys with minimally impacted income will seem almost normal.

Night shift, usually higher customer count skewed towards non-retired guys with varied impacted incomes will be reduced. If more guys show up than permitted, then we can expect higher cover charges to get in. If too many PL’s incomes are reduced, then expect lower drink prices, 2-4-1 dance promotions, and clubs squeezing dancers for an even larger share of their dance incomes or other fees. Which will lead to dancers leaving the business or ongoing improved opportunities for OTC.

In most Lap Dances/Private Rooms with cameras, both parties will be required to wear masks. Bouncers will be more focused on naked mouths than naked titties.

Private rooms without cameras, everything will still come off.

I’m still not seeing much in the way of hand sanitizers in the stores. So any restroom trolls who do have sanitizer may actually see their tips increase. (Of course, soap is more effective and remains relatively available.)

Not until cure / vaccine. People forget HIV has killed 700,000 Americans.

Whenever they do open play safe and do some risk assessment and a hard look if it’s worth it.

Back to normal within a year for most. Those in a higher risk category - old, other health conditions, and some ethnicities, may have a different experience.

I think the clubs will come back but it’s going to take a while, the big spenders are going to be in great demand, and not so quick to return as there will be a lot of competition for their dollars.

I think this will be purely regional. But I think strip clubs will bounce back. Though I do suspect nicespice might be right that it is more and more ok to be open about some things that used to be more under wraps at a lot of clubs. On one hand I appreciate the honestly, on the other hand when things are more open it gets a lot harder to compete w/o also being "open-minded" or w/e.

I think clubs in Michigan should bounce back by mid summer. I don't think things will change much just people will way the risk if they want to go there or not.

A population unable to travel freely and controlled by government fiat is the splooge dream of every politician. Getting people to lose human contact, stay home and rely on government support is the end of democracy. Just ask Karl Marx.

And it doesn't matter if there's a quarantine. Business will be slow, people will stay home and have less money to spend. It is what it is lets just hope clubs don't permanently close.

It will have to be normal. I support the shutdown but when nightlife of any kind reopens it has to come back with a bang. Social distancing is antisocial. Also I don't see it coming back til people have diaposable incomes

Girls will come back, but will some of you scared, old, or fat fuckers?? If not money dries up, they leave and go to cam/onlyfans... some already making decent $$ there and not coming back. Jobs, commerce, everything already shifting towards digital/cloud. This sped it up.

As long as there are horny guys with money - and sexy girls in need of money - strip clubs will have the requirements they need to exist.

Give it time, and the clubs will return. Given enough time, it will return to the normal club scene.

To quote field of dreams - if you build it, they will cum.

I'm hopeful that a year from now we will have a combo of treatment, vaccine and herd immunity to basically be normal.

Six months from now I'm less sure. But I imagine people will spend Christmas with family more or less as normal.
