I took my current job in 2019 with the idea it would provide more opportunities but before covid it mostly sent me to Santa Clara county CA which may be the worst SC scene ever, I would drive up to SF it was so bad. Time spent in Sea-Tac area which was a little better, Seattle anyway, not so much the Tacoma side. Orange County CA is passable too. Only one trip to Phx in that time and I hit 2 clubs but feel like I never hit my stride, need to go back. NJ was disappointing but I was pressed for time, was stealing away after dinner with a female colleague who wouldn’t be understanding. Lots of trips to LV and I’ve basically settled on Palominos and chicas. From following the site I have Detroit, Toronto, Portland, and FL on my list now. Maybe New England. Not sure those count as airline hubs, but yes I’m looking forward to the opportunity to travel again and sample the country’s talent.

NPR makes strenuous effort to talk about how many hundreds of millions of excess doses the us has signed contracts for, but yeah I’m months away from getting my dose I’m sure.

I noticed today the MB Treasure Club is in the top 40 list and thought that can’t be right. Maybe a new thread but it seems to me there should be like a minimum of 10 unique reviewers required. A lot of those in the overall top 40 are based on 6 reviewers or less. But I’m sure the pandemic is skewing everything right now.

This is old news. I have been submitted to these kinds of HR training sessions for 15 years plus in a very progressive global biotech firm among others. Everyone knows they are bullshit and the basic takeaway for everyone should just be “don’t be an asshole or these are the types of allegations we will use to drum out the assholes”. The hiring practice is an issue, it doesn’t scale that way because talent development is a multi year commitment. You don’t just find highly trained competent experienced people of all colors that aren’t getting hired because of their skin color. You have to build them first, and right now on average asians, SE Asians, and caucasians have a huge head start educationally. If you’re focused just on hiring for diversity goals you’ll come up short. They have to invest in talent development over the long haul and if they have assholes working there then junior diverse talent isn’t going to hang around. Anyone with promise is in high demand within their skill range. The sad thing is there are enough assholes in leadership and Wall Street that they are vulnerable to the guilt trip from the activists. Just because it’s bullshit doesn’t mean there aren’t still a lot of assholes that still need an adjustment. The problem is they are usually waived from the bullshit training, they just want to check the box that they have training in place for 100% of staff as a defense against activists complaints so it can’t threaten the business this quarter. Short termism.

Civics education is sooooo lacking. Nobody seems to have any idea of the roles of the 3 branches or state and local govts any more. They think the president has the power to do everything. I think both Obama and Trump found their power way more limited than they expected it to be. Happy to see someone doing something about it.

15 mo hiatus at this point. Generally only during business travel which would mean about 24-36 nights per year on average.

Hypocrisy. Utah consumes more internet porn than other states on average. Years ago it was well known that the internet was used for more porn than all other types of data/content out together. It’s only grown since then. Porn has put a lot of money into everyone in tech’s pockets. Cisco, Juniper, ATT, Verizon, Microsoft, Dell, Amazon, IBM, and all down the line.

Idk but isn’t the us still way more diverse than uk? It’s natural to be a little fearful or even awkward when encountering something foreign. Awkward counts as racist in the us now. My experience is that the more homogeneous, the more racist. Whether small town az, philly, nyc, tx, or various European and south American countries. Maybe I’m wrong but it describes China and Japan. Ever look at immigration laws in Japan? Basically all other races are only allowed work visas for long term residence. We have issues but our issues would be impossible to have when your country is 99% homogeneous. China is literally putting Muslims in camps.

I read somewhere else about some high end brothels/termas. I wondered if any of the Tijuana or FKK Germany crowd ever went that far. Would be nice to have some reviews. I’ll make some if I get the chance.

Is that coded as pizza or pasta? Back in the 70s you saw these numbers achieved once a year when a pickup truck rolled over in Arizona. To be racist, Mexicans or Papago usually. Rural people with big families. Didn’t care so much about la migra back then but may not have been citizens or legal residents. That was back when we had freedom.

Those incels are a bunch of betas that need to get some truth beaten into them. No woman owes them anything. If they focused more on doing something, anything with their lives, they would find all kinds of interest from women. Maybe not perfect 10 strippers, not at first, but success breeds success. They just need to build themselves into something worth being interested in. Being broody and bitchy about not being validated is probably the least attractive thing they could do.

Umm they have acronyms in other languages too. It’s not just English and not just whites. I learn a lot of new words unwinding acronyms when overseas. They are good for learning more if you’re curious to learn.
