I mostly just read reviews of Indianapolis clubs. With the exception of Brad's Brass Brass Flamingo, which seems like it gets reviews from everyone visiting here, there are not a lot of reviews and no regular local club reviewer. I think I may be the most regular reviewer of local clubs.

I will occasionally read reviews of other cities just out of curiosity and to see how they compare to Indianapolis but not enough to find favorite reviewers. Indianapolis seems not to be typical. There are few in the club extras here because it is a conservative state. I recently started a discussion about stripper heights where I said strippers are taller than the average female, basing it on what I see here, and everyone else said that's not true anywhere else. I've heard numerous stripper stories about managers coming in from other cities and flopping here when they try to run Indy clubs the same way they successfully ran clubs where they came from. I plan to do more traveling in a few years when I retire and I may start picking up favorite reviewers when I start to research clubs in other cities in advance of visiting them.

I’m a fan of Gawker’s reviews and contributions pre-pandemic. I second OWG’s reviews and contributions in Providence. In Northwest Floribama, I appreciate will42’s intel and reviews. The long time contributions of Shadowcat, Skibum609, Rick Dugan, are also appreciated by me.

Having thought about it for about a minute, nj_pete has always written reviews I appreciate. Keeps the reviews focused but also interesting with whatever tidbits that make one visit stand out from another. This has been debated to death on TUSCL, but I'll take an interesting and informative writing style over something that reads like a book report or editorial writing sample any day. There's probably a couple of others I'll think of later.

Obviously Papi writes some good reviews!

Since nobody has mentioned it yet, I also nominate muddy and wallanon.

When muddy first started posting I thought the dude was a secondary troll account to somebody. But he has a certain writing style that can be dead on about a club vibe that no other reviewer has pointed out before. Ditto with Wallanon, plus the club details tend to be thorough too.

Oh yeah, and also BigDickSammy is also quite the reviewer extraordinaire 😋

Damn. I must not be putting in enough work to get a nominee. I have been slacking. Been back from south Florida for over 2 weeks and haven’t made any reviews. But there coming. But my TJ reviews are pretty good I thought.

I like to nominate TahoeCruz, mets86, londonguy and the dude that use to sit in the corner at follies. Of course papi chulo was the ultimate source pre pandemic.

I really like EastCoasters Reviews. Very well written and entertaining. He also travels in some of my stomping grounds. I am also a fan of Dr. Evil and Shadowcat's reviews. I like Reverend Hornibastard's stories very much, but really do NOT love all the photos with Dicks in them that he puts up.

My reviews have been non-existent since last March; the last time I was in a club. I do try to keep up with my daily photo contributions. Getting closer to the vaccine and then I will be back in clubs stat.

Most of my top reviewers have already been named.... but, for sheer excellence and consistency the top three for me are wallanon, doctorevil and sinclair.

When I grow up I wanna be just like them.

+1 for OldWhiteGuy. I've used his reviews when planning Providence action and his stuff is gold. He is the epitome of what I value - a local club hounds sharing valuable intel about the local club scene.

I won't get into specifics about many of our most prolific reviewers here, except to say that all too often it feels like many of them are just trying to rack up numbers. In doing so they post a lot of drive by reviews that are incomplete at best and pointless at worst.

Honorable mentions to sinclair and papi. They both write some good material. Sinclair does have a tendency to lose patience quickly sometimes and his rating swings are extreme. Papi's reviews, as detailed as they are, often frustrate me because I rarely get what I am truly seeking from a Miami area (of all places) review - which is the cost and benefits of the private rooms. But overall they both provide good information.

Wavy, sorry to leave you off my list. I like your reviews and used to spend a great deal of time in Atlanta. Have not been there for approximately one year, but will use your information on my return. I am sure I left others off also. I love Papi's information and his writing style, but I don't always have the patience to get through all the data. Haven't been to South Florida much lately either.

Of the current active reviewers- wallanon, sinclair, EastCoaster, rickdugan, and Warrior15. Long time members Papi, shadowcat, and "CMI"(Providence area) also very good.

@RTP hey bud I appreciate the kind words. I’m glad you even read my reviews. Tbh you aren’t missing much here right now. Think clubs will get better once spring really kicks in. All of us Atlanta guys have been trying to find a decent spot since follies is gone so we drive around to various spots. Stay safe bro.

There are many very good reviewers here and I agree with many of you fella's choices, but just based on totality of information, no one reviewer is the best although I often wish I were able to write as well and prolifically as many of those named above, my nomination of Papi is because he gives me intel on clubs I actually visit, and that is the main benefit of the reviews to me.

I gotta go with Eve. I often need a cold shower or cigarette after her stories

Yeah, for good writing and reviewers I’ll read even if it’s about a club I’ll never visit, Wall, Rev, Doc Evil and Eve. Otherwise, I read local intel for where I’ll be and then almost always need to pm a board member or two for the intel that can’t be put in public reviews.

Eve and Nicespice always get 50 million comments under their reviews so that’s gotta count for something.

Papi and Sinclair I think take the review thing to a whole other level I think most people would agree with that.

And yeah some of the guys that don’t even post on here they just kind of stick to their club or just their city, they go nowhere else. Those guys tend to be SMEs

Thanks for the several shout-outs here. Due to the pandemic and my risk factors, I haven't been active for almost a year now, but I just got my second dose of the Pfizer vaccine and am planning to venture out in a few weeks.

Lots of my favorite reviewers have already been named, and I concur with all the positive comments. However, for the sheer entertainment value of the written word, I have to say that Eve is my favorite of the faves.

I’ve not been reading reviews in almost a year, as my clubbing stopped due to the pandemic.

There were several reviewers who wrote excellent club reviews in the past - and NJBalla, Papi, Reverend, and Gawker come to mind as members who wrote good reviews.

Papi chulo wrote the book on how to give everyone every detail needed. I try to model mine after his, but I'm not often sober when I write, so there's no real comparison. Great intel in his reviews.

Eve is my number 2 bc she's accurate, fun, and thorough. And fun to chill with if you ever get the chance.

Number 3 is Juice. All of them.
