I think the majority of women want to be a princess and the majority of men want to be a hero, then there are the significant minority of both genders who want to buck the gender norms. I think the world is big enough for both types of people.

Looks are very important to women, especially young women looking for a hook up or one night stand. I have zero resentment about that, but I wish women could be more open and direct about it but society in large is not yet approving of women being nakedly honest about what they want sexually. Reality is that height is very important to most women. Hair is very important to women. Those are two physical features mainly determined by genetics. Look at the cover of romance novels, look at the male stars of romantic movies, look at the men who work in male revues. The man's face and body are key elements of sexual attraction for many women, though obviously not the only elements. The fact is that women are given much more pragmatic advice when it comes to attracting the opposite sex. They are told to wear make up to cover fine lines, acne, and other blemishes. They are told to wear heels to increase height and the length of their legs. They are told to wear flattering clothing and underwear that can smooth over a belly or lift the buttocks. Men are told that to attract women they should just "be confident" and "be a man." It is not culturally acceptable for a man to wear make up. It is not culturally acceptable to wear lifts to increase height. It is not culturally acceptable to wear a toupee to cover a bald spot. One of the few useful pieces of advice men are given is to go to the gym, but if a man decided to do tricep kickbacks and pilates to get a lean, toned "Olympic swimmer" physique that most women actually like they are called weak. "Another plate on the bar, bro." Men have just as much a burden to bear when it comes to the double standards society has when it comes to how women can improve their looks and how men can improve their looks. Looks are important to both sexes and there is nothing wrong with that.

Funny enough, my grandfather was a very talented businessman who quit school when he was 12 to work as a paperboy and eventually amassed a fortune before passing away early in his 40s. Sadly, much of that money was lost to the family due to some unfortunate circumstances. What I do know was that he was supposedly one of the most cold-blooded people in my family, but maybe that's what is needed to succeed on your own.

I'm also looking for my next ATF. When I first found my ATF after a couple of months of going alone to strip clubs I became exclusive to her ITC. I have encountered relatively few happily married couples in my life, but from what I've observed a good marriage seems to have the following ingredients: 1. One partner submits. It goes against the whole "equality" and "50/50" thing we push for in the States, but in reality I feel like any successful relationship requires one partner taking the leadership position and the other partner conceding that to the other partner. It seems like the partner that concedes is usually the husband. 2. Having separate hobbies and making time for oneself. Again, fantasy says that a happy couple wants to spend every waking second with each other, but that sounds really suffocating. The happy couples I meet make sure to pursue their own hobbies and have built inactivities that leave some separation time from each other. Marriage doesn't mean a person stops being an individual. 3. Realistic expectations and similar goals. I have an older co-worker approaching retirement who seems genuinely happy to be married to his wife. He would tell me all the time how he used to make tons of money. Hearing this I assumed by "tons of money" he meant at least six figures, but it turns out in his previous job he was making mid-five figures. Not what I imagined in my head when I think of tons of money, but it was a lot to him and he was happy with what he once made. He talks a lot about retiring in a few years and getting an RV so he can drive across the country with his wife. He seemed genuinely happy about it even if his dreams are not as lofty as mine: millionaire athlete/entertainer jet-setting across the planet for pretty women to have sex with. 4. Sexual compatibility. Compatibility in general, but sex is a huge part of any relationship. If one partner feels frustrated long-term then that is a recipe for disaster. Maybe this sounds messed up, but I think once in awhile if one partner feels real horny and the other doesn't feel too excited they should still be willing to have sex to provide the partner a release. Sex can fix a lot of the frustrations and stress that comes with a relationship. Those are just my brief thoughts and observations.
