I have never tried to reserve a 9th floor room. I like to stay on the 6th floor. That is the highest floor that the front elevator goes to. I stayed there about 3 months ago and made my reservation about a week before my visit. I ended up on the 5th floor because the 6th had already filled up.

OldGringo, nice ideas in that other thread. But most of the look to be a cab ride away. If I take a taxi to one of these, are the wait staff at the restaurants going to be able to speak english ? And I assume I'll be able to find a taxi to take me back to Zona Norte ?

In 2001, I worked for a very large financial firm that had it's main office in Tower One of the World Trade Center. All the trainees had to spend a few weeks at the main office and the managers would rotate doing the training sessions. I was scheduled to be in New York for the September training session, but had a personal issue come up that had my trip to there reset to October. You guys know what happened to The World Trade Center September 2001 ? I was supposed to have been there.

I actually liked the way the site was set up a few months ago. VIP and Front Room topics were visible on the same page. Non-Vip members just couldn't' see the VIP topics. Like MisterWonderful, I sometimes forget to look in the VIP room so I miss certain topics that I might be interested in.

This statement makes me think of two things:
1- It is sound advice to have a discussion in the front room before you take the girl to VIP.
2- If you are trying to influence VIP posters to post in the Front Room instead of VIP, then you should probably post this topic in the VIP room.
