One thing to keep in mind is that in most OTC adventures the dancer is taking more risks than the PL. This is especially true if the meet-up happens the first time you meet her.
This isn't dismissive of your nervousness, but simply points out that the risks are far from one-sided.
So, I usually don't try for OTC immediately. I try to see a dancer ITC a few times before asking about OTC. I'm also a PL who likes to chat with the dancers. Even though dancers adopt a persona in the club, that doesn't necessarily stop them from throwing warning signals. Ultimately, I don't ask about OTC until my gut tells me that the dancer is after money sans drama.
In terms of location, I use mediocre, mid-grade hotels. Nothing fancy but also not a rat's nest. There are apps that will be useful for finding discounts.
Ultimately, the reality is that the vast majority of dancers who might do OTC don't want the risks attached to trying knock you out and leave with a kidney on ice. If they're going to do OTC, then they mostly want to do their job, get paid, and go home (like most of us).
If a dancer is going to misbehave, it's more likely to be in the form of dipping into your wallet for an extra "tip". So, don't bring your briefcase full of cash and cocaine to your OTC date.

They never tell you what you need to know.
Ask everyone how old they are without asking how old they are.

"this is a political post."
You are correct. Which is why it should be in the "Political Discourse" forum and not in the "Front Room".

Don't connect dancers by name to extras or OTC in reviews or posts, even if it's a club where "everyone knows" (which might be true for the club, but not for individual dancers).
TUSCLers with access to these reviews can include club managers, staff, and other dancers, who can use that information against a dancer. It's also not impossible for local reporters to access these reviews to find incriminating quotes for their expose piece.

^ Possibly, but they probably don't believe us as much as we don't believe them. So, it's likely not their most reliable indicator.

It comes with whatever you negotiate before going to VIP. It also costs whatever you negotiate before VIP. If you want a better idea, then read the club's reviews.

To 5footguy's point, this has a fictional "written for entertainment" vibe that doesn't quite ring true.
You won't know what your options are until you communicate further with your wife. But maybe stop seeing/ fucking that Czech dancer while you're in a vulnerable situation.
"I don’t think she is aiming to take me to the cleaners in a divorce because she makes decent on her own."
Whether or not this is true, you clearly don't understand the righteous, vengeful anger of a scorned woman.

I immediately thought of Countryman:

Who was a truck driver and lost his shit both regularly and spectacularly on here before disappearing. He was more of a TJ enthusiast, though.

I worked at a company that did business with the accounting firm of Orifice & Collins. 'Orifice' in this context is an Italian surname (pronounced Orif-FEE-chay). That's already not great, but then Collins (a woman) got married to a guy with the last name 'Beaver'.
And that's how for two weeks in Rhode Island there existed the accounting firm of Orifice & Beaver, because apparently they both knew a lot about accounting but nothing about anything else.
I was told that their clients and family held a series of awkward interventions before they finally changed the business name.

In NJ. Goes to Pa for BJ.
^ I don't bring my cards into the club. They're locked up in my car. That used to be to protect myself from bad decisions, but more out of habit now. I also had a buddy get his CC info lifted via an RFID sniffer device in the club. So, I'm a little concerned about that.
I'm glad they're in the car, though. There was exactly one time when I made a math error and I did have to use the club ATM.

It's not complex. RMD is a troll.

I think CJ has perfected the act of manipulating the most reactions under false pretenses while expending the least effort.
RMD is essentially the same... but types more when he trolls for reactions.

Gulf Coast. I’m not your boss.
The one Hooters in RI was open for a while, closed due to not great health inspections, opened again a few years later, and then closed again last year. Right now New England is a breastaurant wasteland.
I got OTC exactly one time at Hooters. I'm pretty sure it was an outlier and not anything I'd expect to happen again. Still, nice way to end an otherwise mundane day.

The difference is a matter of opinion, usually. I've written several articles with many getting at least one down vote [shrug].
Generally speaking, an article is on topic, provides information, and is self contained. Discussions are open-ended topics or questions. But it's not like TUSCL has its own "Strunk & White for PLs".
So, go for it.

If there's a party at a strip club and the food is the selling point, then that says a lot about the talent.
It's been a while since I've been there, but I left after only spending money on a beer.

^ Also valid. If I'm particularly enthusiastic, I'll provide a bigger tip at the stage as encouragement. That has often increased my odds. But, on a couple of occasions, I've had to write it off as the price of doing business.
