Clearly, guns are going to have zero relevance in the indictments against Trump. They will only continue to be involved in 40,000 deaths every year.

The Bragg indictment does seem more political. But the other 3 indictments are all about justice, and showing there are some things you just can't do to undermine our democracy and expect to get away with it.

In NJ I would say it's tilting slightly on the slow side right now.

Trump's latest outbursts are an embarrassment, these statements have to be absolutely cringeworthy for many Republicans. Implied threat against witnesses: "IF YOU GO AFTER ME, I’M COMING AFTER YOU." About Nancy Pelosi calling him a scared puppy: "She is a Wicked Witch whose husbands journey from hell starts and finishes with her. She is a sick & demented psycho who will someday live in HELL!"

The far right wingers are hurting with the latest indictments against their hero. If it was all politically motivated, you wouldn't see prominent Republicans joining the condemnation against Trump.

Some of us never had that experience, but always suspected it might play out like this at an upscale club. Thanks for taking the time to write it up and share with all of us. We'll have to wait and see what charges stick with alleged influence peddling in the Biden family and Trump's alleged crimes. But documented facts around the latter are abundant. The former will have a harder time getting traction in part due to the right wing cesspool of conspiracy theories and lies, such as blaming Biden for the war, inflation and crime, and the Republican top agenda item of revenge.

And yet the only evidence of election malfeasance appears to be the Big Lie that the 2020 election was stolen, which has now come home to roost with the findings of the Jan. 6 committee, the $787M settlement against Fox News, and the recent indictments against Trump.

All this Hunter Biden stuff is largely a desperate effort at distraction from the right, and pales in comparison to Trump's offenses. I hope we can see a speedy resolution to Trump's remaining legal issues (i.e., jail), defeat in 2024, and get this turd out of the news cycle once and for all. We'd love to be not talking about him anymore.

I don't find a lot of misinformation in the media, it's more bias. Where it gets to clear misinformation is in some of these conspiracy theories, which the right wing often push. CNN is my main go-to for reliable information.

I see many discussions where the OP posts about some topic or issue, gets a lot of good feedback, but never replies back. I wonder if reverendhornibastard will reply and tell us whether the feedback here might have changed his opinion about his money being "wasted". I'm impressed that he covered 6 continents. I'm "only" at 5 but will get Down Under at some point. In fact that sounds like another goal to add to the list. I've spent twice the amount he has in half the time, and like several others have no regrets. Not only the women and the physical aspect, but the social aspect, the travel, the new cities and cultures and languages, and the occasional company of like-minded fellow punters, have enriched my life.
