How bad it's getting in some clubs

We aren't here for a long time, we are here for a good time.

A dancer I know posted around 11 pm, "Fund my stage boo boo" with venmo and cash app links. This is a Ricks Cabaret, that overbooks dancers, so girls don't make money, the club does.

To be fair I think a dancer would still do that even if times are good but I get your point

Another dancer from that club, said it's too many girls and she might go to the club 1 hour and 20 min away, even though it's $10 dances. so from a Rick's property, the glitz, the atmosphere, to $10 to house, $10 per song? not good.

Ricks Cabaret couldn't make it here in Indianapolis and went out of business. I knew they would from the beginning. The first time I went they wanted to charge $25 to use the lap dance area. That was way out of line with other local clubs. It appeared they had done no market research on local conditions before coming here.

Things are getting weird. They are going to get weirder.

Maybe this is about catering to the growing number of people for whom cash is so five minutes ago? A micro-EFT in lieu of throwing small bills on the stage, if the PL prefers?

Another Dancer, from the same club, posted a story referring to how she still desert pole tricks even though there’s nobody at the stage

we need an edit function. Even if it expires 10 minutes.

My friend manages a very successful club in South Florida, 20 years ago I asked him, best advice to a dancer to get dances. He said, go to the table of guys, introduce yourself, get their names, spend a couple of minutes with them, Walk away. Go back a few minutes later, sit down then mention dances. So you are not cold calling. Take it for what it's worth.

I participate in another expensive hobby and it's clear demand is down a lot. Amusement park attendance was down this summer. Lots of signs of luxury spending being soft.

That said I went Friday after work a week ago and the club was packed with guys. We definitely are heading into the "thirsty dancers" phase of the economic cycle but not quite three yet.

Yes JamesSD, another dancer I know today did the Q&A anonymously on instagram, person asked how's the club she said too many girls not enough customers

House mom told me that the Saturday before last, Vivide had 117 dancers show up. Where does everyone sit?

I’m not sure what is going on in other places but here in South Florida, the good clubs are quite busy when I visit.

Pretty dancers with relaxed rules (that does not mean extras are necessary) will always be in demand. The problem is there are too many overweight, overly inked, overly pierced ordinary looking girls

It's hard for me to compare apples to apples. Until a few months ago things in our local NE Florida clubs were hopping. But recently a licensing requirement went into effect for dancers and a lot of the best talent went elsewhere. My best guess is that some of those girls are now dancing in Daytona and others just decided to stop dancing. What I saw at Emps on Friday night was the worst weekend lineup I've seen there in a long time and Wackos is relying more heavily than ever on Cuban girls.

One thing I did notice is that there is only one strip club left in Western Massachusetts. (Unless Worcester is considered Western Mass I don’t think it is though) Anthony’s dance club and I thought that place was terrible girl wise. They lost Mardi Gras, Magic Latern and Centerfold all recently.

In NJ I would say it's tilting slightly on the slow side right now.

SoCal clubs now seem to have about as many customers as pre-COVID, and most have as many girls. But the quality of girls has gone way down, and they report customers are spending less & more lookie loos. Very few white girls, very few veteran strippers, fewer slender girls. But guys here are just so damn thirsty they lose their minds; just visit Synn COI on Thursday nights and look at the long lines for dances with any breathing stripper. The analogy to Disney parks is well-placed.

The Magic Lantern had a shooting they tried to keep quiet when they were open during Covid as a restaurant. The sign is staying and the building is becoming a weed dispensary. Two bachelor parties collided in the parking lot for an immense brawl in 1987. Two herniated discs for this poster. Ahhh good times.

Muddy - Worcester is considered Central Mass.

A club can make more money off 5 fat dancers than 1 hot dancer. A hot dancer has better employment options than being in a club filled with fat dancers.

Those two facts may explain everything.

Hmm I've seen the opposite. Lots of girls but only a few guys who don't tip and just want cheap food and watch the stage. Many of the regulars are gone.
