@founder. I didn’t say abortion was a law. I said Roe v Wade was THE law for 50 years. That is also part of the answer to your question of why congress never passed an abortion law. First, they didn’t need to. Roe v Wade was precedent. Second, despite being probably the most supported right across political lines with 65-70% support, you have candidates who can’t take a middle position and agree on legislation. From both sides.

Not sure how this conversation came around to abortion, but Roe v Wade was a 7-2 decision with the majority opinion written by a republican appointed justice. It certainly was controversial, but it’s been the law forever or almost forever for all of us reading this post. Should’ve left it alone.

I disagree that no DA would ever prosecute these charges. They’d tack them on to charges for the underlying crime as additional leverage to get a plea. They might even prosecute solely without charging the underlying crime, but they’d plead them down to a misdemeanor on one count and a fine. No plea was going to happen here, so you wind up going all the way to trial on all 34 counts. Same was true for the E Jean Carroll and Trump Organization fraud cases. Ordinarily, those would have been settled for far less than the eventual judgment because the risks of losing were so high.

DJT Stock
The price makes no sense from a valuation standpoint. The business sucks. Related, there may be volatility swings as people trade with their hearts and you can make money on that volatility. One of the big risks however is that the orange menace owns the majority of the stock (60% maybe?) and if he decides he needs cash he may sell it off even as it brings down the price. Trade it as alternative to betting on sports but don’t shift your 401k to it.

Privacy Concerns with ID Scanning?
It’s a risk of playing the game. I don’t like it but a couple of the clubs I like to go to do it. A scan only shows the same info on the front of your license, which is enough for a bad actor to do some damage, but likely not get access to your credit card or bank accounts. Low probability/high damage would be something crazy happening like someone being killed in the club the night you were there. Cops will get the list and come looking for witnesses. They won’t have a phone number and would most likely knock on your front door. Very unlikely, but unforeseen circumstances are usually how even best laid plans are undone.

That reminds me of my first VIP at DD Pompano. We were already in the room when gave the no fly signal to a dancer who was ready to provide FS. A look of disappointment flashed over her face as we moved on to other things.

Races
Members of this site will know before they enter a club what the racial makeup is. It’s very unlikely any of us will be uncomfortable because if we don’t like the ethnicity of a club, we’ll choose not to go there. We’re the wrong audience for this question. I don’t speak Spanish but I love latinas and manage around any language barrier. With a corona and a shot of tequila in front of me and cash in my pocket, I blend in just fine. In black clubs, same thing. I might try to dress appropriately for the club, but that’s always true. Back in the day, the tuscl club pages had an ethnicity section. I think the options were white, black, mixed and maybe Latina. The info is in the reviews so not a big deal that the ethnicity section is gone, but it was nice to have on the same page with the cover, lap dance prices, and other basic info.

OT: Restaurant Apocalypse
“All the chains mentioned are their grandparent’s restaurants.” FYP. Most of the restaurants mentioned serve the same or similar food. More than being overpriced, it’s boring. I live in a growth area and there are restaurants closing all the time, but we have more new restaurants than we have closings. And they are better. They may be regional chains but they skew to more specialty or ethnic food. Mexican is huge. Same for upscale Chinese, Korean, Mediterranean. If you want cheap, there are a ton of Vietnamese pho places. There are also a lot of smash burger upscale burger places. Inflation is a big factor in the decision to not eat out, but like someone else said, who wants to pay more money for boring food you can just easily cook at home?

Rejecting Reviews
I like the crowd sourced voting system. Even if I disagree with how people vote, they should have their say. We mostly get it right, though I think the new minimum criteria for a published review of 5/8 upvotes is too easy. I’d like to go back to the previous 5/7 votes.

Bartender/Dancers
By me, Millstream has a lot of dancers who transition to bartender as they start to look to life after dancing. Sometimes they’ll work bartender and dancer on different days in the same week. If there’s a second bartender and the club isn’t busy, you can offer to take them to a vip or very rarely, they’ll do a stage dance. I also found out recently that Good Guys in DC allows the servers (hot) to do dances and rooms. A few other dancers I know also have bartending gigs at civvie bars.

Driving in 2024
I drive less than 10k miles a year so I’ve gotten pretty patient, but we teach driving incorrectly in this country. We teach “right lane is the slow lane, center medium, left fast.” That’s wrong. We should teach to keep right unless passing. That’s the law in every state I can think of, but very rarely do cops ticket failure to keep right. Too many jackasses thinking if they are going 10mph over the limit that they have a claim to the left lane, forcing me to pass them on the right. I’ve contemplated cameras after some of the stuff I’ve seen, but usually didn’t follow through once the rage passed.

Founder changed the approval criteria with the site revamp. It used to be 7 votes and 4-3 approval wasn’t enough. 3 downvotes would decline the review. Now it’s 8 votes and three downvotes won’t block it.

Club social media is too much
If you care enough, say something to a manager. They probably have a young person doing their IG account and have no idea they may outing people. It’s a customer service issue and most smart managers (not an employment requirement for strip club management) will see that and take care of it. I’d probably stop going if my club did that.

Motorhead said "So by that logic if you go to Starbucks and the barista gives you coffee with 20 packs of sugar because that’s what she likes, you just leave it on the table and walk out?" Was that in response to my comment? Thought maybe someone I had on ignore might’ve posted. If it was in response to my comment, I agree with you. If a Starbucks barista gets my order wrong, I ask them to remake it. When I said “There are very few perfect markets. Strip clubs may be one of them.” I was … limiting my comment to strip clubs. Starbucks is not a perfect market.

There are very few perfect markets. Strip clubs may be one of them. If a girl gets a piercing or a tattoo that nobody likes, she will fail to earn a living. What one guy doesn’t like, another does. If you don’t like it, move along. The market will tell her if she’s made herself unmarketable. It’s her decision and nobody else’s.

No problem with it as long as the women customers don’t try and make the show about themselves. Pretty much the same exact rule for male customers too.
