I have gone twice since they opened on Monday. Both times I have been in the background of Instagram videos taken while I was there. They also filmed and posted to show off their full parking lot. There was my car and license plate.
It actually makes me a little hesitant to keep going.
The one with the underbar spaces. These are the videos that only show up for 24 hours. The ones with me have cycled off the feed. If you look at the ones still there, you can see customers in the background. But today they look pretty empty, so not too many customers. The ones from Monday had as many as 7-8 customers pretty clearly in the background for some clips.
Some idiot walked up and down the parking lot filming cars plus some guy getting out of his car. Broad daylight. This was to show "how crowded" they were.
If you care enough, say something to a manager. They probably have a young person doing their IG account and have no idea they may outing people. It’s a customer service issue and most smart managers (not an employment requirement for strip club management) will see that and take care of it. I’d probably stop going if my club did that.
Sounds like the same people who would welcome Superman to earth with a Kryptonite cake. Since I refuse to get an IG account (or anything like it), I guess I'll just have to wonder if I'm on there. I didn't see anyone with a camera when I went, so, presumably I'm not. Still, next time I go back I will talk to the manager (met him when I went last week, he was cool) and tell him outright that if I ever see anyone with a camera there, I just won't come back, and I'll advise everyone else to do the same.
I saw the floor guys, house mom and dancers all taking pictures or clips with their phones. I actually walked out of a couple of shots that I saw happening. At the time I had no idea they were going on Instagram.
Most of the clubs around me focus on reposting dancer selfies announcing when they're working. Some occasionally post images of groups of dancers in a booth or by the bar. If there's a picture of a dancer on stage, then it's in an empty club (so, obviously staged). The point being that there's never customers in the shots.
The only exception I'll see is the make-it-rain and lapdance factory clubs where a lot of the marketing is about a packed club filled with guys throwing around piles of cash.
Yeah, I'd talk to management about that. Somebody isn't connecting the dots.
I'm not worried about a photo of me in a strip club appearing on Instagram. The only people looking at photos of strip clubs on Instagram have the same interests that I do. Do your wives or mothers surf the IG pages looking for photos of strip clubs?
But bosses, coworkers, neighbors, brothers/fathers-in-law, or that buddy of yours that couldn't keep a secret to save his own life... folks like could come across such things and complicate a PL's life a little or a lot.
