Bartender/Dancers

Manuellabore
How common is this?
I’m not talking about a dancer who occasionally pulls a shift as a bartender or vice versa, but a working bartender who will come out from behind the bar and head back to VIP.
In my limited experience, the clubs where this happens tend to be idiosyncratic enterprises (I.e. holes in the wall) and the bartenders are by far the most attractive women in the place (which is generally a low bar).

Around me, extremely uncommon. Meaning, I haven't seen it.

For a while at the Foxy Lady, waitresses could optionally do lapdances and VIPs. I think the club charged extra to take a waitress off the floor. I'm not sure; I never did that. But I am pretty sure they don't do that anymore.

I agree that it's uncommon, but it does happen.

Just yesterday afternoon when passing through Jacksonville, Florida, I stopped at Sinsations -- no hole in the wall -- and the bartender there went to the VIP with a couple of different customers. I've done that there with other bartenders. I think it's less likely to happen at Sinsations if it's busy, but it's definitely a "thing" there. There is also a sign behind the bar that says for a $5.00 tip, the bartender will go topless. That happened yesterday, too.

Definitely rare but not unheard of. I knew one girl in FL who was the bartender/female enforcer (for when the female guests get too drunk but the male bouncers don’t want to lay their hands on them). She definitely pulled in some cash dancing as well.

I've seen it in some small clubs over the years with waitresses and even a few bartenders, especially when things were slow.

But I also think it's a small minority of places that allow it. For starters, club staff are W-2 employees, which complicates things from a worker protection standpoint. Perhaps more important though, most dancers hate it when a club allows this. They don't want to compete with club staff, who of course do not need to pay house fees and tip outs or do mandatory stage sets.

This rick will add to EastCoaster’s comment.

Last time I drove through Jax I stopped by Sinsations. I left a review of the Doll House, where I stopped on the way down, but didn’t review Sinsations. It was a Saturday mid-afternoon and (as was the situation going south) I had time constraints. I think I got there about 2:30-ish and stayed until almost 4, which was too long given the distance I was planning to drive. But let’s not go there…

Anyhoo…place wasn’t bad. But the bartender was probably the hottest girl in the place. Was talking to her at the bar when I saw the $5 to remove top sign and decided to try. She went topless too briefly for the cost, but I generally try not to think much about cost. I asked if she did dances. A good time was definitely had.

I can see a big downside to bartender as dancer. She took a fair amount of time away from the bar and was the only person covering it. Went to dressing room to freshen up, did several dances, then went back to dressing room.

Wait…wait…I mean roar!!!

Regarding the dugan’s comment, the girl said she danced on weekdays.

I assume he is correct that she works as a part-time employee rather than as an independent contractor when she bartends. So the fact that she was away from the bar for a reasonable period of time could be doubly bad for the place. Unlike the Doll House, which was dead, there were several customers that couldn’t get a drink while she was dancing. But this lion had a good time so all is good!

Any of you remember Angie the popular Follies bar tender? I remember the day it was her birthday and she climbed on top of the bar and started dancing fully clothed. The crowd loved it and threw so much money at her that she felt guilty about taking away tips from the dancer that was on stage. So much so that she actually split everything she got. They Probably split a couple of hundreds.

By me, Millstream has a lot of dancers who transition to bartender as they start to look to life after dancing. Sometimes they’ll work bartender and dancer on different days in the same week. If there’s a second bartender and the club isn’t busy, you can offer to take them to a vip or very rarely, they’ll do a stage dance.

I also found out recently that Good Guys in DC allows the servers (hot) to do dances and rooms.

A few other dancers I know also have bartending gigs at civvie bars.

Not very common at all. For one thing, a large number of strip clubs I went to over time had either exclusively male bartending staff or else it was mixed. There was only one club ever where seeing bartender/waitress boobs was a real possibility, and more than likely, they were too old and/or fat to be dancing. Not that that stopped me once.

This is a lot rarer than I expected, since I've encountered it at 3 places near me: 1. Gold Club in Center City Phila, which is a real shithole with a really hot bartender who will do dances; 2. Club 2120 in Pennsauken, where I've done VIPs with the milfy bartender, co-owner, or wife of the owner (who is on premises), She actually gives a hot but within the lines dance; and 3. The Circus on The Block in Balto, where you can have the full Block experience.

I'd empty my brokerage account to get VIP from the Asian bartender at Desire.

Locally you need an adult entertainment permit to dance, but anyone can bartend at the 18+ juice bar places. At the topless places with beer the bartender has to be 21+ even though the dancers can be 18.

It's fairly easy to recruit bartenders, and it's where a lot of girls start.
