    HOT and BITCH
There's a reason I typically avoid the 9s and 10s in a club and go for the 7s. I think we all pretty much stereotype the hottest girls as bitches or stuck up. I often compare strippers to porn stars. Notice the absolute drop dead gorgeous porn stars typically are terrible to watch having sex? They get by on looks, while the above average, but not quite drop dead gorgeous ones seem to "try harder." Sure it's not a 100% proposal, but it's correct more often than not. I play the odds, and the odds say I am more likely to be happy with a 7 or 8 than a perfect 10.

    Uh oh!
I was at Flight Club (Sister club to Penthouse) earlier this week, and I heard many different stories. The management view was a) a water main break, and b) a transformer blew. I then heard the dancer story, from a dancer that came over to FC for a few days to work, that LE raided the place Monday Night. She said she wasn't there so she doesn't know exactly what the raid was about, but she heard that it wasn't a lap dance enforcement type raid, it had something to do with liquor permits or tax related. All in all, none of the information I heard had any sort of substance other than rumors. Who do you believe? Management hiding something, or a dancer? I wouldn't consider either source very reliable, just reporting what I heard. All I can take from this, is that yes, it was closed down for a little while. I am surprised none of the news sites have gotten a hold of this.

    Strip Club Websites
I asked a manager at a Detroit Area club why their site looks like it hasn't been updated in 3 years. The biggest issue with posting schedules and pictures of girls is, most strippers don't want anybody to know they are strippers. It's a privacy thing. There's a reason they all work at clubs on the other side of town that they live, they don't want Dad stopping in with his buddies and seeing his darling little girl coming out of the VIP room with her hair messed up and the "I can't believe I just blew that guy" look on her face. The ones with many regulars communicate with them by text or whatever, so there's no need to have schedules out on the internet for all to see. Funny timing of the post, I just asked the mgr a few days ago thinking the same thing. Another reason I found out, is that employee turnover is so high in these places, not only for dancers, but people that do the sites. They set up a site, get canned, or move to another club, and nobody has any idea what to do with the site. The nicer sites probably have an outside IT professional design the site, teach the one web savy guy in the club how to run it, and then he leaves and nobody has any idea what to do with it.

    Thieving dancers
I once got the heads up on a new girl at one of my fav clubs from the waitress. She was smoking hot and I wanted a dance, but the waitress told me about the stealing rumors going around, so I threw a test out there. I normally keep money in more than one place. I put $60 in my front left pocket and stashed the rest. Got 6 songs, when I said I was done, I reached into my pocket to find $25. When she asked for the $200 agreed upon, I gave her a choice, the $35 she lifted, or a chat with the manager. Her answer of "whatever" told the story. I do find it funny she only took half the bills, as if people don't know what they have on them (I'm guessing this works on the really drunk customers.) Sad thing is, the dances/extras were great. I would have tipped well too. Some whores just don't get it. Went in the next week. Go figure, she was fired for stealing another dancers cell phone.

Best day of the week to go clubbing?
Thursdays in most places. Weekend talent with weekday crowds, sometimes a lower cover (not that $5 should make or break anything.) Or for those with an ATF, her "slow" day.

    Mandatory coat checks
I usually just leave it in the car. It's not just strip clubs, most "clubs" don't want people wearing coats, usually for security reasons. If I took a coat into a club, I would probably leave it there after a a bunch of drinks and laps, so I really don't mind personally. My goal when I go into a club is to come out of the club with everything I came in with. To date, I've lost 2 hats, a drivers license (bad), and a ton of money. Technically, I didn't lose any money, I just spend too much!

    TMZ does Charlie Sheen
I think I speak for a vast majority of posters on this website when I say, what's the fucking problem? If I made $2 million A WEEK, I would bang every porn whore I could get over to my house. Minus all the drugs, he's my fucking hero. A "bender" in my world is going to a strip club twice in the same week. His bosses say he's never late on set, and is a professional at work. So what's the problem?

    3 Recent Vegas Reviews
Unfortunately Vegas strip clubs are a complete waste of time and money for me. Maybe if I was from New Hampshire or Idaho it would be an "event", but once you frequent Detroit area clubs, everywhere else is just a letdown. Sure, the ratio of 10's at the Rhino is amazing, but I'd rather have a 7 or 8 in Detroit, than a perfect 10 in Vegas that wont let me touch her for double what I pay here.

    BEST NEW FIRST LINE !!
In the last month or so, at a Detroit area club that I won't name (but I will tell you was not the normal low end whorehouse like H8 or Bogart's) I've been asked the following. These are opening lines, not after 20 minutes of chat mind you: 1. "Here's some advice, you really, really want to fuck me. Trust me, I've been told I'm a really good whore." 2. "If I let you fuck me, will you stick your finger in my ass? I really like that. I like it even more if you fuck my ass, but I know that's not for everyone." 3. "I know there's a few girls here with no gag reflex. I have one, do you like it when a girl gags on your cock?" Two where from the same girl on different nights, and all were at about panic time, which is when the stripper realizes that she doesn't have her tip out covered. In other words, after 12:30. Both were also pretty damn hot, not the normal "dirty one of the bunch" whore that you can usually spot within 5 minutes at this place. Times are tight, not the girls. I'll also give the token....I did not partake. I'm a gentleman god damnit!

    Stripper given fake $50 bill
I'm with Prim0. We don't get a refund on counterfeit dances. And I'm no lawyer, but if it was for the tip, and not the service, would the legal ramification be the same? Like it could be passed off as a joke?

    Flight Club Casino
Found out that this is not going to be a "charity" casino. The permit is some special limited gaming permit. That definitely changes my opinion on whether or not it will have some success. Still think it will take business from the strip club side. Robbing Peter to pay Paul never really works. Opening pushed back to April now.

    Flight Club Casino
Here's what I think is going on. I've talked to some people over there, and I gamble for a living, so I think I have a pretty good idea of the disaster this is going to be. This is opinion, because I have don't know Alan, or what kind of permits are being pulled, so bear with me. Plus I'm a tad long winded, but here goes. There are 2 different types of legal casinos in Michigan. There's the real casinos (MGM, Moter City, etc...) and there are charity card rooms. This will not be a "real casino," like MGM, etc. There is too much legislature to cut through, and if the billionaires that have tried to get more put in here can't do it, nobody can. Also, there are going to be 3 games from what I hear. Black Jack. Poker. Roulette. Notice what is missing. The bread and butter of all casinos.....SLOT MACHINES. Every real casino in the world depends on slot machines. They are impossible to beat, and they are steady revenue streams. This place will not have them. This will be a "charity casino." Just like every bowling alley in town has opened one, it is not difficult. Just a permit or two per week for charities that come in and run the money. Most of the house money goes to the charities (not sure of the %.) The poker games have higher rakes. Poker tournaments, almost half the buy in goes to the house. Roulette is a loser game to begin with. Black Jack rules are skewed to the house (house takes pushes, which may not seem like a big deal, but it adds a 15-20% advantage to the houses normal 6% basic strategy advantage.) The places that have them now, most had extra unused space, and don't invest much money in the "room." It basically brings in people to eat and drink. Alan appears to be going balls out with the construction, as well as space. It seems like a lose/lose to me. People that lose gambling wont have money to blow on the strippers. People that win, obviously take money from the casino (in Black Jack and Roulette.) To be honest, it makes no sense why he would do this, other than to bring people in the door. I'd like to know the business model, because on the surface, it makes no sense to me. Like I said, this is my opinion, but it seems like a disaster waiting to happen. I've played in most of the card rooms in town, and if he thinks THAT clientele is what he wants in his Strip Club, this is a big, big mistake. Once again, just a degenerate gambler/strip club patrons opinion. I'm really not a DEGENERATE gambler, I haven't worked a real job in 5 years, but I do love boobies!

OK this is a little weird but how much is an acceptable tip for this
It's actually not weird, it's a really good question. It's one of the only things in the strip club that there isn't really an obvious protocol for. For me, I never give them cash for their "time" sitting. It's really awkward, like saying "I don't want a dance because I don't find you attractive, but here's $5 for your personality." I just buy em a drink. If they want to hang around after that, that's fine. If I plan on getting a dance, I tell them early, if I don't, and they can't take a hint, that's their problem. All that being said, I like gators formula.

    drink minimums
I think some people forget that strip clubs are a business. They are not forcing you to drink alcohol, they just want you to order something. Same with the cover, the valet, etc....it's part of the expectation. Do you expect to walk in with no cover, no valet, no drink/food order, but see topless women walk around and dance without spending a dime? When you go to a concert, is it free? It is expected that you pay to be entertained.

    Mandatory Valet
Isn't valet a necessary evil here? Personally, I trust a kid to drive my car 50 feet and not crash it. I've never had anything stolen out of my car, and I would bet that if I put a $10 bill in the cup holder, 99 times out of 100 it would be there when I got my car back. And complaining about a $5 fee when you go inside, pay $20 for a booth, a cover charge, $8 a drink, and a few hundred bucks to have a girl sit on my lap and pretend she likes me, seems a little odd. In this shitty economy, I'm glad keep some kid employed by giving him a few bucks to park my car. Just my opinion. Just find it annoying that someone actually has posted 2 or 3 reviews to state in 3 paragraphs that he didn't actually go into the club because he was so appalled that there is a mandatory valet. If that's all it takes to keep my membership going, I'm going to start posting reviews that I didn't stop in a club because the landscaping wasn't up to my standards, or there was a light burnt out on the sign out front.

    Tipping for their time/conversation
If they are too stupid to get the hint, that's their problem, not yours. I come across the same girls over and over again. With me, I have a problem (gift) in that my mouth really doesn't have a filter. If a girl sits down next to me, i pretty much tell them to go away if I'm not interested. When a girl sits with me that I usually get dances from, I pay for that "extra time" with a solid tip after a VIP session. The other ones that I'm not interested in, that's their problem. Call me a dick, whatever. I have money in my pocket, which to ME means, I control the situation. If they want to waste their time sitting with a guy that is not interested, it's not my problem.

Waitresses are the key to a good night
Just like how your mileage may vary, wait staffs and "support" employees will vary from night to night, club to club, etc... Just sharing what seems to work for me. If it was 50/50, or just every now and again, I wouldn't have bothered posting, but for me, in this area, it's been very helpful. Heading to Vegas next weekend. I doubt any of this will work there, because I do know that Vegas clubs are an entirely different animal. Coming from the mileage that exists in SE Michigan, I go in with completely different expectations. If I didn't, I'd walk out really pissed off!

Waitresses are the key to a good night
Thanks for the tip CT, just submitted it as an article. And George, you're right. It doesn't always work, and I have had a night were I could tell I was being steered the wrong way. They key for me is, I play cards for a living, I I'm pretty good at reading people. Most strippers, waitresses at strip bars, etc are probably the easiest people in the world for me to get a read on, usually within the first 2 sentences that come out of their mouths. I'm not 100%, or I'd be playing poker on ESPN, but I'll tell you something though, I never thought this would be a skill I could use at a strip club, but it sure as hell comes in handy. And I know, not all advice in here works in every club, and definitely not in every city. But here in Detroit, the clubs all seem to have too many waitresses on staff on slow nights (which is when I go) and they tend to cling to the customers that tip well. I've had nights were the waitresses will sit with me pretty much the entire time when they aren't serving the few other tables they have. It may not work for everyone, but it's become pretty much my go-to strategy every time.

    Shy stripper?
Yes it was a generalization and I know some strippers come from normal families, without drug problems, etc. It was meant to me another view on why some of these girls seem shy in an industry where you wouldn't think it would be normal. Location makes a huge difference too. I've been to clubs in Vegas, Florida, Texas, North Carolina, and here in Detroit. At the Texas club I visited, I met probably 4 or 5 dancers and they seemed like completely "normal" women. Visit a few clubs in the Detroit area, and you'll see that my generalization is more the norm than the exception. There are 2 types of girls in strip clubs, dancers, and prostitutes. In the Detroit area, 80% are option b. Right or wrong, it's a valid viewpoint for some of these girls.

    Shy stripper?
There's another part to the "shy" stripper. Look, these aren't girls that grew up in stable families with a good education from a private school. They have daddy issues, drug problems, and loser boyfriends. The one's that appear shy aren't shy, they have serious self esteem issues. Some get over it, some don't. I don't think shy is the right word. Fucked up is.

Another FYI. Coliseum has been "raided" 4 times in the last week (day and night shift,) and Penthouse has been raided as well. By raided, I mean police coming in, checking dance cards, and tickets have been issued in the VIP to both dancers AND customers. Not 100% sure what the tickets were for, but I've heard this from more than one source. Looks like "enforcement" of the new law is in full effect, at least at these 2 establishments.

    Detroit
Hey Art, I haven't heard of anything when it comes to a complete enforcement of the no touch/no VIP rules yet. Just saying that it seems to be an odd coincidence that the cops are taking a sudden interest in dance cards at more than one location. I know business has been way down at a lot of the Detroit clubs and the Penthouse lawsuit appears to be a response to that. Just thinking that the city's response to the lawsuit will be enforcement of the actual law. And Alucard is exactly right, election season brings alot of sudden rections for political gains. It always has in this area.
