When one looks at the listings by state, one sees a list of all the towns in a state. This should be revised so that the towns are grouped by metropolitan area. For example, all of the clubs in the Orlando area should be grouped together and listed under the Orlando area. Same thing for Jacksonville, Miami, etc.

Well, I've never really gotten into trouble but I did have a nasty confrontation with the manager at Archibald's in Washington, DC. Although I had been tipping generously and buying drinks, he apparently thought that I had not been spending enough. Archibald's expects customers to empty out their entire bank accounts. The situation was about to become very nasty, so I simply left rather than have it escalate. Archibald's has the rudest and worst employees of any club (and maybe any business establishment) that I have ever been to--avoid this club!

It all depends on what you're looking for. A lot of guys on this site go to clubs only for the lap dances. These guys hate any club that does not offer contact. I, on the other hand, almost never get lap dances (way too expensive). I go just to watch the floor show. So I rate clubs based on how pretty the girls are and how good the stage dancing is. So I love the Atlanta clubs because of the full nudity, but some guys (like Shadowcat) hate then because they are no contact. I have never been to a topless club that I have rated over a 7, because it's very important to me that the girls go fully nude.

The prettiest girls I have ever seen were at the Cheetah in Atlanta. No. 2 is Scores (formerly Pure Platinum and Spearmint Rhino) in Fort Lauderdale, FL. No. 3 is Mitchell Brothers in San Francisco and no. 4 is Scarlett's Cabaret in South Florida (Broward County). But it's not really a fair comparison because at some clubs half of the girls are very pretty and half are average. I would rather have more girls rather than fewer girls, even if some are average looking. For example, at Tootsie's in Miami some of the girls are only average. But it has the most girls of any club I've ever been to, so Tootsie's is one of my favorite clubs. I have heard the Penthouse club in Manhattan has very pretty girls---anyone ever been there?

to chandler--it's like this---When a club only has one stage, then I can only look at one girl. But when a club has more than one stage, then I can see more than one girl at a time. Some of my favorite clubs have as many as 7 girls dancing on stage at a time, so I can pick out the girl I like the best and look at her!

Which brings up the question--has anyone here been ripped off or cheated by a strip club? It only happened to me once, at a club in the Soi Cowboy section of Bangkok, Thailand. The club billed me for a dancer's company when they hadn't made it clear that I was going to be charged for it. I should have argued about it, but I chickened out and paid it. It was only about $10 or $15 or so, but the principle of the thing is the most important. I know the strip clubs in Budapest, Hungary are notorious for overcharging customers and giving customers huge bills for thousands of dollars. Then they have thugs beat up customers who won't pay.

I went once to the Gold Club in Atlanta, which was notorious for overcharging customers. Some guys ran up bills of thousands of dollars at that place and the media was full of stories like the ones about Scores in New York. But I paid in cash and didn't have anything bad happen to me, although I could tell the Gold Club was a real high pressure place.

yeah I agree, he did have a few interesting points but now it seems like he just drones on and on about the same topics over and over---I liked his "campaign" to try to drive down lap dance prices but now it seems he has dropped that too

he is married---the wife says the credit card was stolen and that her husband didn't run up all the charges---but the guy admits being in Scores--he just says he only spent $20,000

I'm still kicking myself for not going to Rick's in Seattle (I didn't know about this site then) and Mons Venus and 2001 Odyssey in Tampa in 1999 when they were rated among the top clubs in the U.S. (this was before all the raids started and the clubs got worse because a lot of pretty dancers left). But I guess I can still check out some of the other clubs on the top 40.

I saw porn star Tara Wild in Miami. She put on a great show, shoving a dildo in and out of her pussy rapidly. Otherwise, I haven't seen any other features.

I have been to two of the clubs---Mitchell Brothers in San Francisco and Tootsie's in Miami. Both were excellent. The list is undoubtedly biased towards big city clubs. There are probably some great club in small towns and cities that don't make the list because they don't have enough reviews. But I do agree with the policy of requiring a minimum number of reviews in order to make the list. My all time favorite club, the Cheetah in Atlanta, was on the list at one time but fell off--some guys gave it low ratings because there is no contact. Uptown Cabaret in Charlotte was on the list but fell off--that is also a good club but probably not good enough to be in the top 40.

Silver Dollar in Eugene, Oregon was once rated #4 on the top 40 list, but it fell off for not having enough reviews. This is also a great club.

I have been to all four types of clubs. I think the quality of dancer is roughly the same in all four types of clubs. I think the type of club where the girl dances depends mostly on the girl's willingness to take off (or not take off) her clothes. And of course what local laws allow. One dancer has assured me that nude dancers make much more money than topless only or bikini dancers (as they should). I personally strongly prefer nude clubs and would never rate a topless only club any higher than a 7---my top 10 all time favorite clubs are all fully nude clubs.

I went to the CES show in Vegas in 1995 and got to meet a lot of porno stars in person (the show had a separate porno section). The show is still going on but now has split off into a separate show. I was able to get in for free but now they charge a lot to get in.

I have to disagree with shadowcat. I love the Atlanta clubs--all nude, all alcohol---only 10% of all clubs in the US are like that. The worst is probably Salt Lake City--full bikinis required and all clubs and bars require an expensive membership, which costs $25-35 just to get in the door. I agree that Virginia, where I live, also sucks. I drive 50-60 miles to West Virginia because the clubs there are all nude, all alcohol. I disagree that Charlotte, NC is a bad city--there are some very nice, entertaining topless clubs there.
