Of the four mentioned, only been to Tampa and Baltimore. Baltimore, when I was last there though was early 1990s and it was just starting to transition. "Lap dances" per se weren't on the menu but drink sizes bought back-room time.
Tampa has to be in consideration for any talk -- both the immediate vicinity and when one bundles in the Pinellas/Pasco clubs. For prime talent, nude, good two-way contact and no alcohol, there's Tampa proper (Tampa proper even has a few guaranteed high-mileage clubs, where girls look at you really strange if all you want is a lap dance). For nude, good two-way contact with alcohol, there's Pasco County. For bikini/topless outside with bikini/topless lap dances and very interesting VIP, there are a couple clubs in Pinellas.
The thing is, much of the talent circulates between all the clubs/dancing styles. As with every club YMMV and don't bring money in the club that you expect to leave with.
(Though remembering some of the things I've read from Book Guy, I'd loved to have been in Toronto in mid-1990s too).

Man, and I thought it was getting tough over here in Tampa, where girls have been migrating looking for work -- but no across-the-board dance discounts yet.

Calling to ask "who's dancing" may work but asking of "Dancer A" is working typically elicits a "yes" even if they're not on the schedule.

David, I've never had a dancer get mad at me for enjoying the company of another entertainer I have had one expect a bit too much whenever I visited. I was starting to think of her as a "stripperwife" and stopped visiting that club for about a month.
When I texted he about stopping by, I'd learned she'd left that club. She even suggested I try a "friend" of hers if I went to the old club, which is a clear playing field again. The first time I visited her at the new haunts, I spent less because there's less privacy (she actually charged me less per dance too 2/$35 as opposed to $20 each).
I actually see the value in keeping an ATF or any dancer happy. It leads to more fun in back for both us and them. But if your ATF is expecting you to drop all your entertainment money on her, maybe it should be OTC -- that way she could save the DJ cut and the bouncer cut and the per-dance fee they gig her for too.

David, why would your ATF mind if you got a dance with another dancer? I know of many dancers who prefer that because she's sharing the wealth. It's all a game. It's ALL for fun. If anything your ATF might try a little harder when you do connect that night, to make she's not being knocked off the mountaintop.

Rejecting is such a harsh word. You're just saying "no." Or "no, I'm waiting for favorite dancer," or "I usually dance with favorite dancer, maybe next time."
Sometimes I go in expecting to spend X amount on a favorite and I'll set aside a lesser amount for a new dancer or lesser favorites.
I've also avoided a favorite club because I wasn't in the mood to see a favorite (that can happen too) or didn't want to get more than a couple dances or maybe just enjoy a stage show.
Outside the club, strippers are all people but inside the club they're independent contractors. Walk that fine line of business and pleasure and things are usually fine. Ironically I suspect most dancers would reject advances from the typical strip club patron (I include myself in that category)if they met in a shopping mall, karaoke bar etc.

Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life
I meet more with kids than without. Dancer under 21, 50-50 that there's a kid at home, with mom, etc. Dancer over 21, probably 80-20 that there are kids involved. Kids the mom's barely see (especially these days) so part of the lavish spending is to make up for never seeing junior. And sometimes, it's a sob story.

A couple years back, at the Mons in Tampa (where the sign says $20-$30 negotiable) girls routinely tried to get $30 dances. Can't tell you how successful that was. I'm only used to the sticker shock of $20 (back when I started this it was, um $5 nude at the Mons and its cousin the Tanga and in some hinterland clubs as little as $3 topless).

As a GWU alum who hadn't been to D.C. in a few years, I was shocked to see that the number of clubs had dwindled. Camelot is going to be your closest, accessible from the Farragut West station -- but what's the point, it's the closest metro station to the East side of campus. That being said, Good Guys -- while not metro accessible -- may be a better choice. As a side note, I understand tuition at my alma mater is now sky high (compared to back in the day). Good luck in your college career.

Individual reviews have entertainment value at best. A collection of reviews offer basic insight. A couple decent reviews from a club that had been slumming for along time will get me to stop in and visit.
But nothing's more frustrating than a review that's just plain wrong or confused. For example, there's a guy who recently reviewed "Ybor Secrets" in Tampa and referred to it as "Ybor Strip." Location he gave was clearly for Secrets but info was either really out-dated (he referred to an afternoon dance at a club that now doesn't open until 6 p.m.) or mixed up.

Only the same guys who would tell their wives if they had sex with an office co-worker, girl from a pick-up bar etc. So NO.

Does anyone ever post about strip clubs on Bigdoggie anymore? This is by far the best place for general info but the USAsexguide can get a little more specific (though it still helps to read between the lines). One place that's become useless in the Tampa Bay area (except to marvel at some of the drama) is stripclublist.

Book Guy, I've actually seen a similar situation in Tampa. A bunch of day shift dancers at Ybor Strip were literally using their shift to hang out, group together and hit the regular clubs after shift (it was some sort of artificial "drinking" holiday but I can't remember which one.)

If I sit at the stage, I'm pretty much tipping the girls while they're on. If I'm sitting back at a table, I'll just tip who I want -- or who I want a private dance with.

Adding to JayADay's Number 4 ... you stop in at a club in another part of the state, recognize a dancer and it's from your usual haunt (ie. frequent Tampa, stop in Key West and still see some regular dancers).

Haven't been to the Duval Teasers, have been to Bare Assets, which is roughly where the old Teasers was (unless it's gone too). Mileage is a relative thing. In club, it's typical of clubs where there's basically no privacy. Girls there do vary. Twice, I've run into dancers who worked clubs up in Tampa, one of which turned out to live a couple doors down from a friend's place, where I was crashing.
Read questionable things about the "Scrub Club" but since I've never actually been inside, can't comment.

If you don't get there often, gotta go for Ybor. Mons is a unique experience but privacy is nonexistent. U used to love Seven Seas about 10 years ago. It may be worth a quick stop . I actually didn't mind Pink Pony/Crazy Horse/Showgirls (wait, I think it's still Showgirls) on MLK, just opposite the spring training stadium. It's kind a like Seven Seas with better facilities.

I write it like I mean it, but mostly they just want my money.
First off, you're not too old. But law isn't a sure thing either. There are a lot of lawyers struggling to pay off debt.

Thanks for taking the plunge. I've wondered how things have been since my last visit (and remember all of the above you mentioned, quite fondly).
One ray of hope. Just as days and nights are different, the ebb and flow on different nights may be different. A visit earlier in the week on a evening may feature a different dancer mix (but who knows for sure).

What made 2001 famous was life back in the 1980s, when the "spaceship" was the FREE place you went to for dances. Here (and the Mons) were never known for in-club fun but potential take-out options.

Amateur night, translation: A dancer from another club who doesn't quite wow management enough to work there automatically. This place lost its lustre somewhere around the time bed dances disappeared (back in the mid to late 1990s),
Typically talent will bounce between here and YS. From this review it looks like I can skip a visit until sometime in 2017.
