Re: the tame dancer behavior and the owner hanging around .... word is that the bar's liquor license was recently placed on probation for one year due to past "infractions" in the club. If true, that would explain why the action here has fallen off the cliff.

Rev - my hay fever was off the charts this spring, and then I tried using a neti pot with a saline rinse. Life changer! I started off doing it twice every day for about a week, and have dropped back to once a day 2-3 times a week for routine maintenance. I can't remember the last time my sinuses were this open and clear!

Because it would reveal that a) he doesn't get tested regularly or nearly as often as he claims, and/or b) that he knew he was positive going into the debate.

@nj_pete - I've heard Rest-a-Bit has put up a tent in part of the parking lot. Only 10 high top tables that seat 2 persons each. Dances are being offered, and are done in the building (although I can't imagine that's going to last for too long once Trenton gets wind of it).

$20 used to be the norm everywhere, but many places are going to $25. can't fight inflation, i guess. you probably didn't get ripped off on that.

This review could apply to at least half a dozen other NJ clubs and you wouldn't know the difference. Need more specifics next time.

In the past I've used the message box of the Update Club Details & Features link (within the club page) to notify the mods of clubs that were listed as closed but were actually open.

So is anyone else but me curious as to what the "three magic words" that the ad promised to reveal actually were?

I'm told that years ago there was a place called Cannonballs here in northern NJ where the guy who owned it worked the bar and his daughter was one of the dancers. Legend has it that he even used to do "locked door parties" every now and then with his daughter dancing nude while he cheered her on. Gives me the creeps just thinking about it!

A couple of years ago I watched a movie called "9 Songs." This may the the closest thing to actual porn that you'll find on Netflix. It's not what I would call a great movie, but all of the sex between the actors - and there's quite a bit - is real. The plot is simple (couple meets, has lots of sex, goes their separate ways), so you won't miss anything plot-wise by just fast-forwarding through for the sex scenes.

The Ballpark is a dive but is pretty much a sure thing. Just don't go there if you don't want to leave stinking of cigarette smoke.
A few other options when you're in Philly, all on the other side of the river:
- Playhouse Lounge in Burlington, NJ
- Champagne in West Deptford, NJ
- And if you're really feeling adventurous, Carnival Bookstore in Brooklawn, NJ

I've flagged several reviews for the Playhouse Lounge in NJ, all submitted by the same guy and all with perfect (or near perfect) scores. He has 46 reviews for only 1 club in his profile. An obvious shill, but he continues to have reviews accepted on here. He's clearly gaming the system by putting in 1 review per month to keep his VIP status. I've stopped flagging reviews as it appears nothing gets done to stop this type of BS.

Edna. Brazilian chick who doesn't speak a lot of English. Could be her real name for all I know. Would love to know the thought process that went into picking that one!

In NJ, if you serve alcohol then the club can only be a bikini bar, i.e., tops and bottoms must stay on at all times (including LDs). Only BYOB places allow nude or topless. The vast majority of clubs in NJ are bikini, so guys often head to NY or Philly for their activities instead.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume these are legit questions ....... Scroll to the bottom of any TUSCL page and you'll see a link to the Glossary. There you'll find the answers to both of your questions (and many more).

The "sexy librarian" look can get me going .... to me, some chicks look really hot in glasses. If it's a bikini club (as most in NJ are), I also dig a cut-off t-shirt that reveals cleavage and the bottom half of the tits.

@shadowcat: As I recall, the 3-category rating system didn't start until only a couple of years ago, and when that happened all clubs initially had their overall (single) rating automatically applied to all 3 categories. So clubs like the ones in TJ that were previously rated 9 or 10 overall had those ratings applied to all 3 categories (even if in reality they shouldn't have been). My guess is we're seeing some skewed category ratings as a result of that.
However, I appreciate seeing the new breakdown by each category as it can quickly shed light on the better aspects of a club, which may not be obvious in an averaged rating.

I don't have a problem with using star ratings vs. numerical ratings, but I really would prefer to see Founder do away with the single "overall rating" for a club and show the average ratings for each of the three categories (Physical Club, Dancer Quality and Dollar Value) at the top of each club's page. Merging the three together, in my opinion, skews the ratings because there's no relation from each category to the other two. There are some dumps that have really hot dancers, but that type of information gets lost when you combine the rating for the Physical Club with Dancer Quality and Dollar Value.

Just a fat, creepy old pervert.
Another that I would consider a good article but not a review at all:
