Bro, you posted the thread. Self awareness just doesn't seem to be your thing sometimes. If you don't want to talk about the insurrection on Jan 6, don't be posting threads about J6.

There are two types of people who "don't care" about the insurrection of Jan 6th:
1. People who are so disengaged with the news and politics that they aren't going to vote and don't matter from an electoral perspective.
2. Members of the cult of Donald Trump. No one's going to convince these people that dear leader did something terrible.
To everyone else, it matters significantly. I would point, as an example, to the recent letter by more than 100 former republican officials who have pointed to Jan 6th as a disqualifying reason for Trump to hold another term. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/elections-trump-republicans-endorsing-harris-b2615392.html
In short, anyone who cares about the vitality and stability of our republic cares deeply about the man who tried to overthrow it.

I signed up a while back but don't remember my credentials so I can't check.
But I agree with TJ Walker's assessment, the girls they feature aren't their best look.
I think some of the best looking girls are just ashamed of the stigma of being a "bailarina exótica", and don't want their faces shown. HK's management also seems to have a preference for curvy women, and the petite women (of whom there are plenty in the club) are underrepresented on the website (and on the photos they hang up on the walls, etc.)

@skibum As a Tijuana enjoyer, this would be soul crushing if the border shut. And such a policy would cause inflation to soar into the double digits, or higher.
@dd Just checked out Border Report. I was expecting some kind of extremist nonsense here, but this looks to be pretty sensible and fact based accounts about what's actually happening down south. Thanks for the tip, definitely adding to my reading list.

^ What makes her a white nationalist is that she's just made a shit ton of racist comments in the past. I believe that recently she said the white house would stink of collared greens and curry if Kamala was elected.
And to OP's question, it's a bad thing definitely.

She's 37, and at HK you're surrounded by chicas in their early twenties. I think I'd pass.
Mexican politics has been interesting to follow of late. AMLO's left-wing party, MORENA, just had a huge victory this summer. They were expected to win but their margins were huge and much higher than expected. Claudia Scheinbuam is going to be taking over with the Mexican equivalent of a filibuster-proof majority. She'll be the first women president of Mexico come October.
And there's also massive judicial reform happening there at AMLO's behest. Mexican states are on the verge of approving changes that would have basically all major justices, including their supreme court, become elected. To my knowledge, no other country in the world elects all of it's justices like this. (Though some US states do this, we don't elect SCOTUS.) It will be an interesting experiment to say the least.

BTW, if anyone is interested, the bar fine at HK has a rather sordid history.
When I started going to TJ 2 years ago, they were just in the process of implementing them. Back then, they were $50 per chica per hour, and they were rarely enforced.
The reason they started doing bar fines is because there was as serial killer who killed a chica in HK. (You can read about it here: https://www.vice.com/en/article/the-serial-killer-hiding-in-plain-sight/, it's very sad.)
Before that incident they didn't have the management apparatus necessary to track chicas, and you could easily negotiate TLN sessions without any bar fines. Once they started employing the hotel managers needed to track arribas, they decided they should be making money from it, and the bar fine was born.
So basically, one complete asshole of a serial killer ruined TLN and long-term sessions at HK for everyone.

> Let me make sure I understand. When I bring a girl to my room the hotel is going to make me spend $110 on drinks each hour?
They only apply bar fines for arribas over an hour. The first hour you won't pay anything to the house.
You could fuck 10 chicas 20 times each and so long as you kept it under an hour and returned to the club each time, you wouldn't pay a single barfine.
But if you fuck 1 chica for 3 hours straight, you're going to pay 2 bar fines of $110 each.

Nice review. I'm curious, what was the impact of comic con on the crowds at HK. Was it a sausage fest?
I'll be there next weekend during the big air show in Sand Diego, I'm hoping that doesn't cause too much crowding in la Zona Norte.

@Puddy, you always throw out TDS to me, but it seems like you're the one suffering from some sort of derangement here.
Look at the GOP platform. Look at Agenda 47, look at Project 2025, and look at what Trump is actually talking about on the campaign trail.
Trade wars and mass deportations are the most well articulated, concrete policy positions he holds. Most of his platform is meaningless drivel (e.g. "Stop Inflation" and "Fix Healthcare") without any clearly articulated policy proposals for how to do those things.
But the trade wars, and even more dangerously his policy of Mass Deportations are well articulated. It's well documented that Trump, in office last time, was hell-bent on using the military to do immigration enforcement. And it's well documented that this time around he would fire enough generals until he was left with enough right-wing zealots to who would do what he wanted.
Media outlets have written about this with painstaking detail. Here's one example with a quote: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/02/20/trump-mass-deportations-immigration/
> The president himself would often demand to send troops to block the border, according to the former officials. Aides would explain to Trump the lack of budget or legal authority to use the military for immigration, including a law against using the military for domestic law enforcement, according to former national security adviser John Bolton.
> “He couldn’t care less,” Bolton said.
Remember, this was the guy who separated parents from children as they crossed the border, he's capable of awful shit.
The only derangement I see here is your refusal to accept the basic fact that TRADE WARS and MASS DEPORTATIONS are FUNDAMENTAL to his platform. There's nothing else there. And you have to have some severe cognitive dissonance to look at these things and say "well, they're unrealistic, so they don't matter."
Because if those things don't matter to you, what does? If you think Trump's only detailed policy proposals are viable, what exactly about his campaign is compelling to you? I think there's some degree of projection and hope on your part about what a second Trump term would actually look like that is truly deranged.
We know what it would look like: MASS DEPORTATIONS, TRADE WARS, and the subsequent massive inflation, reduction in GDP, loss of jobs, and the human rights catastrophe those things would entail.

Good review OP. As someone who IS looking for extras, I find SR (and the Vegas scene in general) to be a very unfulfilling place. But if good dances with decent-ish but not incredible mileage is your thing, SR is a great club. The dancers are definitely hot as fuck. Anyway, thanks for the good review.

^ We also can't afford a massive global trade war, or the largest deportation operation in American history.
Puddy, clever idea earlier with puts on Truth Social. However, you're wrong that the stock is useless either way. If Trump loses, it's worthless, I agree. If he wins, acquiring the company becomes an excellent way to bribe the president with significant sums of money.
Normally, the threat of impeachment would be enough to prevent that kind of specter of malign influence, but the Republican Party is one of sycophants and Trump knows if he gets elected he can do whatever he wants because they'll never find 10 GOP senators to vote to remove him, no matter what he does. He can even incite a mob to overrun the capital and overturn our elections, and they won't give a fuck.

What an odd rule. It seems like you'd just be making it more difficult for patrons to tip dancers. Why would a club want to do that?
Like if I was at a club and they wouldn't break a twenty for me, I'd be like "OK, I guess I'm not tipping the stage then!"

My first time in TJ, I spoke only a few phrases of Spanish like "Gracias" and "Me llamo Ron. ¿Como te llamas?"
I had an absolute blast. I found one chica who was fluent in English and spent time with her, but also arriba'd several chicas who didn't speak any English. When there's a language barrier, it's actually pretty fun because physical touch is like the best way to communicate.
I've since been heavily practicing my Spanish, and I'm now at a decent conversational level. That's fun too, it's fun to be able to get to know the chicas. But it can also be a liability, for example, I find myself buying more fichas now just to chit chat with a chica, whereas with no Spanish, fichas would quickly devolve into grinding / dances / foreplay. It's also worth noting, that if you have something important to communicate, google translate is always available.
In short, you'll be fine in TJ without any Español. I think it would be worthwhile to learn just a few phrase in Spanish just to show a little respect. Like, spend just a few hours doing the basics on Duolingo or Babel. If you're interested in learning more, I wrote an article, A Monger's Guide to Spanish, you can find it here: https://tuscl.net/article/60222

@JamesSD, I agree with all your points. I thought Harris responded perfectly to Trump's refusal to support Ukraine. A highlight of Kamala's performance was when she said:
> “The reason that Donald Trump says that this war would be over within 24 hours is because he would just give it up, and that’s not who we are as Americans.”

I don't think she's framing her record the way you are. Nor would I frame Trump's presidency the way you do. I recall it as a time of unrest, chaos and strife, where every day the president would do something unpredictable, like praising Putin one day and the next day telling people to take bleach for COVID.
Another Trump term would be a nightmare. The inflationary impact of his Mass Deportations plan would be catastrophic, so would the huge economic impact of the trade wars he'd start. That's why just about every sensible economist right now is saying people need to vote for Harris. Even Goldman Sachs is saying the economy would fare better under Harris than Trump.

> if his presidency were so successful, why is she running so hard away from it???
I don't see her running away from her record at all, I think she embraces it. She frequently touts Biden-Harris legislative wins like the bipartisan infrastructure act and the inflation reduction act on the campaign trail, as she did at the DNC.
And in the debate she took pretty clear responsibility for her record, accurately describing the mess created by Donald Trump that they had to clean up, in order for us to have a prosperous economy again.
