Sorry to hear that brother. I bought a travel money belt off Amazon when I first started going years back. It looks like a normal belt but has a zipper on the inside to hold folded bills. For the $15 it costs, it gives me a lot of comfort. My large bills are always in there or the hotel safe.

I was there last month and the two new elevators are complete and functioning. They are only to the back (alley) side and only go to the same hotel entrance as the other two on that side. There may be more to the plan eventually. But at least it was nice not to have to wait anywhere near as long as before.

You can get a free drink every 12 hours with VIP. I will sometimes head down to get my free drink coupon as soon as I’m eligible (Don Julio 70 for me) even if I’m headed somewhere else. It starts the clock on the next free one. I think DJ70 is like $9 or $10 at the bar, so between that and the Mon/tues room discount, VIP card pays for itself. Even if you don’t drink, you can use it for water or soda. It also gives a discount at Restaurante Azul. I’ll usually have at least one meal there, so it’s a couple more dollars worth.

I looked into the spa services when I first started going 5-6 years ago. They were massively overpriced compared to options in TJ. The rooms were on the second floor above what is now the bar by the back check-in. I would inquire with Serenity, bienstar, or balance massage for real relaxation. For the fiancé, just be sure she gets her fantasy fulfilled. Focus on her and you’ll be fine. There are plenty of girls in HK whom will accommodate.

Just to follow-up, they did let me check in about 9am. I obviously was charged for the whole prior night. But at the $30 VIP on a Monday rate, that wasn't a big deal. I do believe my original reservation was cancelled. Because they did mention looking for available rooms first before allowing my check-in. But it can be done if rooms are available.

You don’t have to wait in your room. HK gets day girls starting at 9 and 10am 7 days a week. You can check into an overnight room at Cascadas at 3pm and head downstairs. If you’re nervous, look for some gringo and offer to buy him a beer to sit and ask a few questions. Most are happy to help.

Depends what's important to you. I've stayed in Master Suites, Double, and Single rooms. Most rooms will be interior...meaning windows to the hallway. If you want to experience daylight, the Master Suites on 6, 7, & 8 are your only choice. You're going to get a lot more space in the MS. They will have the hot tub but I've never used them with a girl as it would take 10 mins to fill up. I'm not that patient when I have a hot girl in my room willing to fuck. I've come to prefer the double rooms just to have two beds...one for fucking and one for sleeping. You can always ask hotel staff for clean sheets. But that takes time and a tip. Singles are the same as the short-time rooms. They are small. I only did it for a one night stay. I think with two days, you'd appreciate the extra space. Time is up to the girl. If you think you want more than 30 mins, you'll want to clear that with the girl before going up. At times, the club will chase her down after an hour to try to tell you that you need to buy a bucket of fichas. I've heard that's more common on Friday/Saturday. You might get away with stretching it on Tues/Wed.

HK is likely the only one with girls in the morning time. You can walk in the others but will likely find them empty until after noon. HK never completely stops and has most of the day shift girls on the floor by 10am

I’ve stayed at both Fairfield Marriott and CityExpress Suites in Zona Rio without much scrutiny from the font desk when I have visitors.

I usually pre-print a FMM to speed time at the desk. But this Tuesday around 1pm, they had the foreigners line ropes off. I just walked through. There was a little 1 min delay for the x-ray of bags, but it was the easiest crossing I’ve ever had.

They are cancelling schools for the anticipated rain. I am letting fate decide…if it is bad enough that I can’t get an Uber to HK at 2pm tomorrow, I’ll just stay another night in Zona Rio and see who can make it to me.

Agree with the other comments. I take a laptop every trip. But I put my laptop bag inside an ordinary looking backpack just to try to avoid attracting attention. In the room, it goes in a drawer so as not to temp girls or hotel staff. I don’t place much confidence in their safes since just about anyone who can open your door can also unlock the safe.

I’ve ridden both Uber and DiDi at all hours and would consider them safer than cabs. The fact that you can report a driver to Uber helps regulate vs the randomness of cabs. I have a credit card set up and it works same as stateside. There are several good places in Zona Rio that I’d consider safe and worthwhile.

Just grow a pair. In September, I had a girl ask for a wine. I asked the mesero how much it was. When he said $30, I said no…just a regular drink. I then told the girl that I’d rather spend my money tipping her…not the bar. She was very cool with that and very friendly. I think they get coached to ask for the wine…not that they really want it.

For a multiple day trip, I sometimes bring close to $2k. But spread it out as much as possible. I wear shorts with pockets under my pants when crossing so that it wouldn’t be easily accessible. I also looks for pants with zippered pockets. I’ve never had a problem. But a little preparation doesn’t hurt.

I also like to get a 1/2 off dance coupon slip when I get the free drink coupon. 90% of the time I don’t use it. But it is time stamped so I have a reminder that 12 hours later, I can get another free drink coupon.

St James has a fair amount of regulars which the girls tend to stick by. A couple strategies are helpful. 1) tip on one of the side stages and tell them to come find you when they get off stage. That works ~60% of the time and I only tip a couple singles when doing it. 2) tip your waitress a couple singles to tell a girl who is sitting with someone else to come find you when they are done. The girls will usually also tip the waitress if the intro results in dances/extras, so no need to over-tip here either.

Good job. Feel free to share a name since this is Mexico and not like a US club where she’ll get in trouble if a manager finds her name on this site. FYI - there are girls who come in there who aren’t working. The club will put a wristband on them so they can buy drinks at non-Ficha prices.

It’ll be hard to do with a BG during their shift. Whatever club will want $$$ via a bar fine or bucket(s) paid to take a girl off the floor all night. You’re best bet is arranging it with a BG who isn’t required to work the next night. However, you’ll want a backup plan or two as even with their WhatsApp confirming, BGs will notoriously flake.

Wow. she let you off easy or must be convinced you’ll come back. Usually asking on the back end is a recipe for disaster. It’s better discussed up front. What would you have done if she responded $1200 (4hrs x $300/hr)?
