Well that was a let down...

Ladies and gentlemen, if you were coming into St James thinking that it is one of the best in the country you will sadly be disappointed. It's not that its a bad strip club per se, in my opinion it is above average, but it isnt really good/excellent. Let me explain.

As a background Im a northeasterner whose done a fair amount of business around the country. The great state of Texas has certainly opened my eyes to the ABSOLUTE BLAST one can have in strip clubs. Ive partied it up in strip clubs in ALL OVER TEXAS. Tonight was my first night being free to go out in Houston, and I came ready to party it up. The venue I had in mind was the often raved about St. James. I mean people talk about this place like its a shining beacon, "time to go to church," people would often opine. I was hyped.

I arrived a little after 10pm, and sat close to the main stage. There are 4 stages: a big center one (complete with a shower in its second level, and a rising deck!), 2 smaller stages in the posterior 1st floor, and one in between the top of the two staircases (ie in the second floor). Theres a VIP area, and several cubby areas for lap dances. A pro to this place is you dont have to pay to get to go to the cubbies, thats where all the dances- except for the vip rooms- occur. Lap dances are $20.
