Same as Subraman......the 3rd reason to drink......get to know the bartender. He ( if it is a male) is a wealth of information and if you tip him decently he can ...key word can......turn into your wingman as well.

In the years I have been coming to this office it never once has come up and then this week twice, back to back days from different people.
Today was the odd one--three women all younger than me started talking about the various clubs in the area and how their boyfriends always end up in one whenever a group of friends get together....she goes with her boyfriend local, but when they go to Vegas she doesn't go because it is too "raunchy" and the Vegas girls will do more.......her words.
And the one girl in particular knew the places to some extent. Not just by name but the inside atmosphere by looks.I was surprised it went on as long as it did and I said something twice only because I was asked. Otherwise I smiled or laughed at an occasional comment and that was it on my part.
Afterwards I wondered if I was too quiet.

Join the club.........In my earlier days I was on a plane every week of the year and some weeks 3 or 4 times depending on my schedule. Checking out women in the terminal, the flight attendants, and then the female bar hotel staff was a regular thing as much as breathing air.

Municipal bonds are backed by the ability of the government to levy taxes to pay their obligation--look at 2007/2008--Muni bonds went into the toilet when the market fell--normally it doesn't happen that way but...
Somewhere on this site in another topic I mentioned there were bonds offered from quasi government agencies right after the bear markets of 2008 backed in full by the Federal Government and paying a higher interest rate that normal. I was lucky enough to have the cash to buy a few--but overall bonds have been costing a premium and paying squat over the last decade, and when you look at a ten year period of below expected performance you are not ever going to make it up in fixed income assets.
I should add if you buy an annuity make sure you have check points where you can get out. --renewal clauses.

And a small counter point---the tax advantages.
I'm not necessarily a huge fan either because I typically can beat the market ( and without buying bitcoin) but if you have maxed out all of your retirement contributions, own a small business, and want your money to grow tax free annuities are an option.
I hate paying fees so I shop and consider the fee structure---I hate paying taxes even more because I'm one of those who believes no one is a worse steward of our money than the Federal Government.
The only other consideration is make sure you do not need the money until you hit 59 1/2.

I'm not sure your age but I was just reading a retirement finance article this past weekend. If you are 30 or under your goal should be 1.8 Million if you want to retire comfortably and have enough money to last 30 years.........

I think it gets overstated when dancers/strippers talk--along the same lines people tend to over-exaggerate the positives. Strippers tend to exaggerate their earnings to each other.....not sure why but it's the same with the fisherman who always catches a fish a foot bigger than what it really is in size, or the guy who always picks the winning stock, but you never hear about the ones that are losers.
In places like Dallas, Vegas, LA, Miami it's more common, combination of wealth and flash lifestyles.

What I saw on the morning news it looked as if parts of NJ did get hit.
We ended up with 17.5 inches of snow over a two day period-------today is a different world...sunny high 40's...everything melting.

Nina even us old white guys have heard it before---actually it is that tag line I see sometimes on the social media accounts I reference.....
I've seen her on Love and Hip Hop ( I wasn't full of BS when I said I dated a stripper)
I'm more of a Rhianna or Mary J. fan.

For every five strippers I talk to Cardi B seems to be the role model/dream of four.......I'm not so sure its a good thing but then I'm older and don't really find her all that talented as a singer or actor.....no idea how well she did as a stripper but she seems to be riding the social media wave of popularity.

max I'm starting to believe you are 100% correct.
There are plenty of good looking women which is no surprise for SA and Vegas but a good third of the ones I contacted really are not in Vegas --Arizona or California. but they keep their profile up as if they are there.
A month in advance is too far out for them to plan........
I admit for the most part they do reply but yeah, I agree with Vegas being Flake City.....I've always felt that way but this last week confirms it.

We got pounded..........most of the area has at least a foot.....heavy and wet to shovel and nasty on bringing tree limbs down.
Most businesses ( even the malls) are closed around here.
The last two missed us except for a dusting.......this one hit square.

Subraman I read a funny article about calling a stripper and how the odds of ever getting her to pick up are slim to none and the odds of her voice mail either working or not being full of messages from weeks if not months ago is even smaller. I wish I had kept a link.
Most women under the age of 25 don't like calls as a means to communicate anymore and dancers/strippers even less so.

When you ask for her number keep in mind you are asking for her business number on a cell phone used in most cases just for guys who meet her at the club. So in reality it isn't that big a deal. No bigger a deal than asking anyone who works for their business card.
At some point (maybe) depending on how comfortable she is with you she'll offer up a different number.

If you survived 2001 and 2007/08 then you already know what to do.
Keep your allocations where you are comfortable with the risk tolerance and watch what the government does or doesn't do to entice investors......as an example there were a fair amount of private equity bonds sold that were backed by the federal government 100% and paid a decent premium in excess of current interest rates in 2008/09..................ie Parkway Toll Road in Texas, Port Authority in NJ, Great Lakes Restore program and even Chase Bank.....all of them paid in excess of 6.5% and are not callable..................and are backed by the USA.
