Cashman you'd agree to about anything.......to see tits!!! :--)

For every five strippers I talk to Cardi B seems to be the role model/dream of four.......I'm not so sure its a good thing but then I'm older and don't really find her all that talented as a singer or actor.....no idea how well she did as a stripper but she seems to be riding the social media wave of popularity.

Warrenboy75 - I’d argue your point - but you are totally correct! A tit flash is enough for me to agree to basically anything.

I agree with your assessment of Cardi-B too. She’s a rapping stripper - or a stripper who raps? She’s currently very popular. I’m not sure if she has actual staying power.

Cardi B went from broke and in an abusive relationship, to a striper getting money, to reality TV, then to multimillionaire rapper breaking history with her first 3 songs all being in the billboard's top 10 at the same time (pretty sure that's a first for a rapper). Oh and she did a song with Bruno Mars and got to perform it with him at the Grammys. She is honest and I like hearing what she has to say.

^^^Stripper* I meant up there, obviously.

"She’s a rapping stripper - or a stripper who raps?"

In her song "Bodak Yellow," which sat at the top of the billboard 100, she literally says, "Look, I don't dance now, I make money moves" repeatedly in the chorus.

She is a rapper who no longer strips.

Thanks for the insight NinaBambina. I learned quite a bit from reading your post. I knew a few unconnected bits and pieces. Your post helped to connect the dots.

I haven’t heard her music yet. But I will take a listen now, as I’m curious to hear her sound, and her lyrics.

Nina even us old white guys have heard it before---actually it is that tag line I see sometimes on the social media accounts I reference.....

I've seen her on Love and Hip Hop ( I wasn't full of BS when I said I dated a stripper)

I'm more of a Rhianna or Mary J. fan.

You're welcome. I don't listen to a lot of what's on the radio these days, except Bruno Mars' last album, but I knew Bodak Yellow because it always comes on any busy night I work. Now I love it and listen to it on my way to work to put me in a good work mood. I also listen to the version of Bruno's "finesse" which features Cardi B. The two are going on tour together. And she's releasing an album soon.

I used to watch some of her Instagram videos before she blew up and I don't even have an Instagram, and I didn't even know who she was. She was entertaining and straight-up. I showed my mom some of her Instagram vids and now she's famous and my mom wishes Cardi B was my best friend and thinks we should be. She also wants me to have children with Bruno Mars.

Lol I was actually just going to mention that a lot of guys here have probably heard it in the club, even if they don't know it.

This old white guy is checking it out right now! Lol!

I’m guessing she won’t sound like Frank Sinatra - but that might be a good thing...

You should see how many clubs force you to a schedule. Require you to stay to a certain time. Penalize you if you miss stage. Tell you when and where you can do things. Mandatory tip outs. Basically most of these girls are treated like an employee. the boss/managers see how much they making and want a piece of it.

I watched Cardi B’s Bodak Yellow video - and it’s a very good video. I’ve definitely heard the song before.

Not to argue a point - but couldn’t “making money moves” be considered stripping? It’s dancing for money...

I think "money moves" to her is all the huge checks she's getting, house(s) she bought, deals she signed, etc... Before all of that, she said she is a "stripper hoe" making "shmoney." Shmoney is slang for money acquired illegally, or under the table, etc. That's not how she's making her money now.

shmoney.......I use to hear this term a lot. Hadn't heard of seen it in print for some time now.

Thanks Nina. I read the lyrics to Bodak Yellow - and I read a write up of the meaning of the song. It was very interesting to learn the meaning behind her rap. I’m an old guy - and it was like a translation of a foreign language!
